Great job staying with it and not giving up!! I know a lot of us don't get "the fix" on the first time so it's great and inspiring to see it happens to everybody! 🎉❤
I've owned a lot of Suzuki Quad Runner 4x4 250s and King Quad 300s. If it's 2002 or older, it's rare that you will have functional front brakes. It's almost a guarantee that it'll need a brake job. The second most common thing it that they almost always need a carb rebuild. The only kits that seem to work for me are the Shindy (Japan) brand. These will test your patience, lol. Great video
I swear those quadrunner 250’s and long quad 300’s are cursed. I’ve owned 6 or 7 of them and they’ve all had fuel issues that were near impossible to figure out.
we got a suzuki alt125 three wheeler that i love to death but defiantly have some complaints. the fuel tank is by the rear tire so that means it has a fuel pump. my biggest issue is the amount of time i spend priming it to get fuel to the carb. but once you got it primed its ready basically all day. another issue ive had is carb issues and to this day i still cant get it to idle great. but might also be because my jetting is all wack. i like the toughness of suzuki but hate some of their designs. kinda like gm if you think about it lol.
Just got to the end of the video. The machine is actually meant to be used heavily. Part of the reason the suspension is hard but forgiving. They are meant to be mud bogged. Tow heavy loads. Hell in low gear you can climb a wall. It is still to this day one of the only quads to have independant suspension, 4wd. And the lowest gear know to man from factory. Thats what made these appealing to forest workers. ( Easter egg, you can turn the front wheels around to widen the track, so the front doesnt fall into truck ruts) Over complicated, over enginered. But ahead pf its time, and still kinda is. Great video man. Hondas are my favourite machines for sure. But i am turning one of these suzukis into a 3 wheeler because of that rear suspension :).
Hey man I know this video is about 4 wheelers but I gotta ask I have a 1985 Honda 200X atc and I’m trying to rebuild the thing I’m just now doing the rear bearings in the swingarm and I don’t have the bearing sleeve/collar and I can’t seem to find it online I’ve been looking for days my last options were to come on here and ask RUclipsrs such as you please if you know any cites could you shoot me in the right direction?
@@mike.6076 called the carrier. Ebay and Amazon both have axle carriers company called lakewood there are also china copys. You may also look on online groups and forums for a used carrier and then just replace the bearings as an option.
@@Mrcbuilds the late 80s ones chain driven years were like our atc’s you can’t kill them I swear my buddy tumbled mine I’m a 50 mph wheelie and we only found out cause I’m the morning I was like dude there’s dried blood on your forehead…he had flash back and goes I think I wrecked your quad at full speed wheelie last night we were outside had almost no damage beside some plastics and little bend on headlight bracket. Started right up like it never happened… So I asked him do you remember the other crash you had last night? He said what other crash? I said me walking in your room and that 300 pound chick riding you like you did my quad 🤣! He puked I laughed really hard!! A lot of Jäegermeister, Budweiser, and Kokanee amazing beer made in British Columbia may have been involved…
Man I had a 250 quad runner I could ride wheelie literally as long as there was road in first gear slower then you walk or forth gear fast as it would possibly go and anywhere i between it just just perfect balance for me to do them on my knees. But it’s crazy to see me going like 50 down a road in a vertical wheelie on 80s old ass quad runner 🤣
A guy dropped off 2 "FREE" snowmobiles to the shop today. When my boss asked me why I wasn't happy about it, what's wrong with free? A drunk girl at the bar went out to my van with me and generously gave me a "Free" case of the crabs! The crabs were gone in a week but those snowmobiles will be here forever.
So. By the sounds of it. Your chinese carb is out of tune. They are hard to male run right on these machines As for the throttle cable. That also seems to be a common suzuki thing. Every machine iv ever gotten has broken cables in the middle. These are awesome machines. Just ocer conplicated for what it is.

Overall it looks to be very well built but WAY over engineered
@@Mrcbuilds you know…. sometimes i just best to keep things simple like the yamaha and honda

GM and Suzuki mad vehicles together during the time this quad was made.
GM is my brand, but this model Suzuki is not for me.
