I remember the 250x fourtrax when they were new, I didn't really see them around that I can recall, mostly 3 wheelers and a few 250R's back around the late 80's. I'm glade you are doing good and survived that Hurricane. As of this time that I'm writing this, Hurricane Milton is headed for us in Central FL, and just made Land fall at near Sarasota.
I really dont remember these growing up, but im have second thoughts about selling it. Lol. Milton is south of us. We are clear of it, but are praying for all those in its path.
I love them, just fast enough for me at 70. Of course the guys at the shop went all out building a Hybrid with an aftermarket frame to replace the weak 250x stocker and a hopped up 426 Yamaha dirt bike engine and suspension parts that gets their friends going crazy just looking at them. Just today I had a great discussion with the mechanic about parts interchangeability with the Kawasaki 650, 700, and 750 twins and the performance gains that could be had. We just happen to have a pair of Arctic Cat 4wd machines at the shop both with 650cc displacement but one is a single and the other a Kawi twin. I'm working on a deal for the single because of the price and it's an odd ball since I've already got Kawi twins in both my Brute Forces. Enjoying the change of seasons myself since I work outdoors at both jobs and horses and cattle aren't very happy covered with flies. Take care.
Well we're close to the same on why we do it. I don't ride them that much but love restoring classic honda quads and old school dirt bikes from the 80s. I'm not up to level u are of what I have but 4 dirt bikes and 5 quads I'm working on it with my channel
My buddy asked me why i dont ever keep anything. (I buy fix sell and restore) I said cuz i get to ride them all and ill get another one. But thats just me
