@07:23 apparently, NOBODY knows this. wherever he got this info from, it just not true. im living in germany for almost 40 years now, i lived in the north, the south and in all kinds of parts in the middle. and i NEVER saw a tornado in germany, nor does anyone i know. i also never saw a tornado warning in any weather app, weather report or in the news. sure, we do have some heavy storms every now and then, but i guess that is pretty normal all over the world. but a tornado? nope, not in germany.

There are two inventions created by Poles, which - in my opinion - are much more important, because they saved the lives of thousands, if not millions of people. 1. Mine detector - The first mine detector (Polish) Mark I) was developed during World War II, in the winter of 1941/1942 by two lieutenants Józef Kosacki and Andrzej Garboś (appearing under the war pseudonym Adam Galb) from the Communications Training Center serving in the Polish Armed Forces in the West. The first practical tests of the prototype were carried out in Bari in Scotland on March 5, 1942. Thanks to 500 pieces of the Polish mine detector, the British managed to get through the minefields at El Alamein, which contributed significantly to the victory of the 8th Army in November 1942. In return, Kosacki received a letter from King George VI. The detector was not patented, the invention was transferred free of charge to the British Army. This design was so good that the detector was used until 1995. 2. Enigma cipher decoder - a German portable electromechanical cipher machine. Polish cryptologists managed to decipher ciphertexts encoded using Enigma for the first time in December 1932 (or January 1933) in the Saxon Palace in Warsaw, which housed the Cipher Bureau of the Second Department of the General Staff of the Polish Army. This was done by talented young mathematicians Marian Rejewski, Jerzy Różycki and Henryk Zygalski. In August 1939, copies of Enigma models and the entire deciphering process were transferred to representatives of the French and English armies. British military intelligence designated Enigma with the codename ULTRA. This name was created due to the highest level of secrecy regarding the breaking of the Enigma code, higher than the most secret (English: Most Secret), or Ultrasecret. Based on copies of the Enigma received from the Poles, Great Britain organized its own decryption center in Bletchley Park (codenamed "Station X") near London. The work was conducted under the direction of Alan Turing and allowed German dispatches to be deciphered within 2 hours of receiving them. And it was the Enigma, not radars, that allowed data to be obtained on the strength, distribution and dates of Nazi air raids during the Battle of Britain. The propaganda publicizing the role of radars was to conceal the fact that they had insight into the orders of the German command. Information about the deciphering of the Enigma was classified until the 1970s. According to many historians and military experts, the possession of the Enigma by the Allies accelerated the victory over Germany by about 2 years.

I`m astonished by how beautiful you are. also Finland you pay less tax, the USA is crafty and they triple and quad tax you in some way. at the end of the day you pay more than 50% in taxes if you add it all up. I pay tax on my home my car my paycheck everything I buy, anything I sell, my paycheck from my job.

The Danish flag is the oldest of the flags (technically the oldest flag in the world still in use). And Denmark has at one point ruled over each of the other countries. So when time came for them to make their own flags, they used the Danish flag for inspiration. The Norwegian a Danish flag with a blue cross. Sweden and Denmark being the 2 countries with most wars between them in the world, the Swedish flag is an attempt to be least Danish, what's not red? blue. What's not white? yellow. Iceland, being the most recent to seek/gain their independence from Denmark, and also having a great kinship with Norway, took inspiration from the Norwegian flag, simply rotating the colours.

As a French person, I confirm eating half a baguette with each meal. I bought two baguettes for two days, one with wholemeal flour and the other a country baguette, and I alternated at each meal. Personally, eating bread is as rewarding as eating a good pastry. It’s a daily pleasure. And, except when I eat Asian food, if I have to eat without bread at a meal, I feel like I haven’t eaten. Something is missing! Ha, I forgot. I almost never eat “pain de mie” (this is how we commonly call long-life sliced bread sold in plastic bags here-sandwich bread in the U.S.). Well, yes, I am a real Frenchman.

To be a little fair with the person asking how many days are in a 17 hour drive, anyone who drives for 17 hour without stopping for a coffee break, a nap or going to the bathroom is either crazy or dumb. 5 hours should be the limit, afterwards you should at least stretch your legs. So, I would say that the 17 hour trip should take you a "healthy" day and a half. That being said there is no excuse about not knowing how many hours are in a day.

Ukrainian and Polish similar not just a little bit, but almost 70% of words have same roots and same meaning usually, but writes in different alphabets and phonetically. I personally think that it's incorrect to say that belarussian, ukrainian and russian are the same language group. Russian language have it's big impact only on the late stages of ukrainian and belorussian languages development, which we directly see in spelling and orthography of these languages. But when we go to the roots, polish and ukrainian have very similar linguistics, and russian have its absolute different way from all others slavic languages. I think Polish, Czech, Slovak, Slovenian, Ukrainian and Belorussian should be in the same slavic languages group. And russian is different slavic group on its own, without any offence meaning to russian language, they just have different history of language development But because of russian empire and political domination in region, russian scientists divided slavic languages on west, east, south groups and the world just accepted it...

Looks like noone have answerd. The Danish flag are the oldest still used flag in the world BUT. It's a cross. So it's Christian. And all the other Scandinavian countries where also Christians so it's a part of a brotherhood of Scandinavia who became Christian countries. And yes. Norway, Sweden, Iceland and Denmark where once the same. Why Finland also got te Cross I don't know. But the Fines are welcome as the Nordic country. Greenland made a different flag. But all in all. A unidet christian Scandinavia. Today less than 33% of the population belive and any of the religions in Scandinavia.

American here. Sorry for the lengthy comment here but I think you'll find my comment helpful. George Carlin is often referred to as one of the greatest comedians of all time. I tend to disagree: I consider George more of a really REALLY funny American philosopher. You're Italian so I understand you may disagree, especially considering your peninsula and the peninsula to your East (holy crap, an American who knows geography!!) coined the term to describe such people as Dante, Aristotle, Plato, Pythagoras and DaVinci, but we only have a couple centuries of people. Some years prior to George's death, he was interviewed in his home. He mentioned how he no longer considered himself a Democrat or Republican (not sure how well-versed you are with American politics, but those are the two major political parties here). He considered himself apolitical and said he was no longer willing to offer any politician his time & energy. He classified himself as a "passive observer." He found absurdity in society. One of his first major successes was "7 Dirty Words." Check that one! He was actually arrested for that bit. His style was simple: each bit was like a funnel. He started generally, getting his audience to laugh & complained about the absurdities he perceived. As it went on, you could start seeing he was circling around a point. Keeps going, focuses on that point, then unleashes himself to jump on the point. His entire bit, especially later in his life, was meant to enlighten his audience in a way that was....... It was genius! I cried the day I found out he died.
