I used to play mono guzzlord ex one guzzlord ex and 59 energy.. Game mechanics are you have to find the guzzlord before you can start match so sometimes you'd have to play into like 20+card opening hands but if you don't mind that it was dumb af to piolt 🤣

I played Virizion/Genesect to counter the toad players at league. Laser didnt work with Virizon ex if I had a grass energy attached, and one attack with Virizion to attach to a Genesect ex made the hammers not matter

Flygon and Torterra were both active attackers in the FlyTerra deck you mentioned - Flygon Stall was a different sub-species of the archetype. The strategy revolved around Torterra continuously healing off damage with Giga Drain + Expert Belt while getting extra bulk from its LvX + Nidoqueen. I'd also argue regular Flygon from Rising Rivals was generally far more important than its LvX.

So basically insane draw power like yugioh but in Pokémon now. Glad I stopped playing both lol

as someone mostly only watching yugioh and mtg it says a lot that i have heard of most of these cards from the few times i watch pokemon tcg

Nice pulls! My favorite tin is the Finizen one. The way I see it, if I like the tin, it's still a win even if the cards aren't the best (though a tera dark charizard and my beloved Mimikyu did help)

Mew vmax competitive hell yeah ! Most hated nope. That deck wasn't unstoppable at all. My non meta-deck could beat it easy 🤣( Mimikyu + Ambipom (pokemon go) and poison glimmora ). Honestly during that format I feel like lugia vtsar was way harder to fight against that mew vstar. Also most hated deck in all pokemon tcg ? Nope they are far worst deck in that category. Ex: vileplume items lock in xy era.

There was a time in 2018 when Beast Energy and Armor Press were bugged while Buzzwole GX and Golisopod GX were the top 2 decks in the format lmao

Definitely not great with that 4 energy cost attack, but i think it has a use case. Self milling for 5 can be really powerful with the right tools, if we get VS seeker or the likes back, or a mechanic like night march the mill could be a big upside

ADP ruined the game for anyone trying to play non-meta decks which some of us actually enjoy doing. Putting weird decks togther that could compete with the top-tier decks was never easy to begin with but ADP turning single prize Pokemon into two prizers and if you did have a support GX they'd just Boss that up for three prizes. Instead of banning it they just pumped out more and more boxes and it was everywhere. It caused me to stop playing.

Cyllene is incredible. I think it's even better, today, than when it came out. It's definitely underrated!! Why? Because you can put many Ace Specs back into your deck! Same with Rosanne's Back-Up.

genuinely shocked M Heracross EX isn't on the list. it forces your turn to end because of the mega clause. didn't have a spirit link and all you got was 180 for 3 energy. however it does 10 less for each damage counter on heracross. so at 220 HP you can do 3 energy 0 damage. on a 2 prize mon that forced you to end your turn early

On the brightside, it's nice Seismitoad got to be considered good at least somewhere. Ash never even evolved his Palpitoad!

Dusknoir is a close one for me.. just ruins single prizer decks and makes 2 prize knock outs almost possible every turn
