I really enjoy playing the pokemon tcg nothing is better then a good pokemon card pack opening if the pokemon cards are worth money its even better. getting into a pokemon card battle is also fun. Of course playing the pokemon tcg is my forte! like how to build a pokemon deck and playing the pokemon tcg online is how I spend most of my evenings. Pokemon tcg tournament are also great and if you even need any help on how to play the pokemon tcg then let me know! Dont forget you can also open pokemon tcg pack online too! Ive never got to open packs with leonhart or randolph but hopefully will soon! Not pokemon vgc pokemon vgc online or pokemon tcg world championships. Building pokemon decks is very fun! watching other deck profiles and deck lists is very helpful
M Manectric absolutely doesn't deserve to be put on the list, while it didn't see as much play as the pre-evolution it was still one of the best Mega attackers in the game and had top placements from around 2015-16, especially at US Nationals and Worlds for 2015. Great video nonetheless though, I forgot about how awful the evos for cards like Dragonite V were

She probably got it from the Game Corner. Also lots of Gym Heroes/Challenge Pokemon never got evolutions 🥺 no Erika’s Wigglytuff, Koga’s Pigeot, etc

Dratini line could be described as elegant. Also for dragon types in the TCG they usually incorporate colors of the Pokémon into the attack cost, Dragonite has green and yellow, so grass and lightning. Grass is Erika’s speciality.

To be fair to Dragonite VStar, it was designed to evolve from Pogo Dragonite V and they probably knew if they made the Vstar too overpowered it would be problematic.

Talking about XY era cards, the Galvantula and Gourgeist from Phantom Forces probably count. There's no reason to use them when you could use the Night Marchers

@@BurtsPTCG yyyyyyyyeahhhh... The amount of set-up to get my big boi out for blood was so tempo heavy & slow, that him hitting the Active was... Anticlimactic.
They did my bodyguard, sidekick & XY best fren so completely dirty. I mean you'd need a pressure washer & would take days to get the surface layer off, but he'd be dirted on all over again...
And when I say "I was in tears", I was dead ass serious. Bc PokémonAmíe was a feature that I highly enjoyed. It made his Mega Evolution BUSTED.
AND HE WAS A COMPETITIVE BRED LUCARIO. A THIRD DESCENDANT GENERATION. BRED FROM ANCESTRAL SETS OF PARENTS FOR ATTACK, SPECIAL ATTACK, & SPEED. HE WAS A NO-FRILLS BEAST.
I got banned from local game shops bc I would wipe the opponents with him. He held Metronome, had Aura Sphere, Extreme Speed (PP: 8/8) Stone Edge (PP: 8/8), & Drain Punch for good measure.
When I saw he was gonna have a Mega Evolution card, I was thrilled. When I saw no Lucario Spirit Link, I was upset... It was very heartbreaking.
I've seen the Metang-Dialga combo in action. Truly terrifying.

During the time of PTCGO M Gengar ex was my to go card. Copying not just your active opponent pokemon but any pokemon in play with no downside literally. Think you have 3 basic energy attached and you copy Charizard ex ability deal 250 damage.. discard all fire energy … basically a free 250 attack….
All the Gx and Ex at those time. M Gengar was really very crazy for me..

@BurtsPTCG it may have, since the sets were almost a year apart. But a trainer would not use the less effective card vs the superior version from its own set

I'll have you know that we would tech the 50 HP clefairy to prevent bats from being able to knock you out with a bite after they'd already committed 1 or 2 damage counters to it and buy you the turn you'd need to catch up on prizes

The first one is a pretty stupid argument considering you're evolving a HG/SS card into a card from a prior expansion (Supreme Victors) that it wasnt balanced for. Especially considering HG/SS had a new way better Arcanine card.

I don't think it's fair to compare a newer basic to it's evolution in an older set.
What about ancient fossil, with 10HP, and no attacks.
Meaning it's practically a free prize card for the opponent, if they have an attack benched pokémon, or can swap in your benched pokémon, before you have a chance to evolve the next turn?
This is true but they are necessary to get the fossil pokemon into play 🤣😭
I've been wondering since I started seeing the new babies (but soecifically Cleffa), can they actually evolve or they're just there without any of their previous advantages?
They can if you so wish! (at least back in the day) someone in the comments said that some people ran the clefairy so you could be outside of range of dark golbat ko's which kinda makes sense 🤣

That Clefary might be worse than Cleffa, but it’s not useless since you need it to evolve into the Clefable with a pretty good ability!
You could just play clefairy as a basic if you wanted to get to clefable tho :p but I see what you mean 🤣
That thumbnail is just the TCG in essence. Several mistakes were made in the entire creation of the game and while it was well intentioned, it kinds crached and burned harder than if you clicked hi-jumo kick, the opponent click encore, then switched in a chandelure and used will o' wisp.
M Lucario EX have a spirit link but it comes in a collection box
From what I remember the mega collection box came out after mega lucario rotated from standard unfortunately 😭

Shrine of Memories and Memory Capsule would allow a Pokémon to make use of its previous evolutions' moves, so if you used them, you'd at least give your Pokémon some better HP without losing too much on them being able to use decent attacks, but it's only for attacks and not abilities, so Pokémon like Cleffa and Erika's Dratini would be SOL.
Plus there were likely better Stadium or Tool cards you could make use of instead.

I'm constantly playing the newer Cleffa that give you up to 7 cards per attack. It is so good that I don't bother using professors research. Squak has it's advantages but Cleffa has zero retreat cost and you can play it on any move except turn one.
And it has a free retreat cost too! Happy days 🙌
