Same question @ConnorConCarne: I assume it's [Deadeye's Mark] F2 [Shadow Flare] [Heartseeker]x3 F2 + [Mercy] + [Deadeye's Mark] [Heartseeker]x3 Fill with auto. repeat-ish. on staff im around 29k and when swapping to dager i drop to 26k. so i dont see the rotation getting any better.

This build is for Thief but Mesmer is also a great choice :)

You can more or less use this rotation. Full Power Chronomancer will have different utility skills but the rotation will be structured very similarly.

it doesn't apply its boons neatly in a 600 circle around the Deadeye, does it? the Herald does.

this does more damage herald has more boons and utility it really depends on how much you trust the healer in your subgroup

Quickness Deadeye has significantly higher damage and can slot Invigorating Precision for extra sustain and should still be able to out-damage Herald. Herald offers way wider boon access (both in range and in number of boons). It depends a bit on your Healer as well. If your Healer pumps out a wide range of boons then Deadeye is a great shout. Herald is generally the safer choice though and can 'carry' groups harder.

It's simple and does okay damage but if you're able to play with any additional level of intensity, rifle deadeye will be much, much better. We're talking 30k vs 45k for two builds that ultimately are about spamming the multi-shot ability

I forgot to mention in the video that your Deadeye's Mark gets reset whenever your marked target dies. So, it's even more hype in Fractals.

Definitely recommend giving Deadeye a shot. It even uses more or less the same gear as Daredevil (just swap out Relic of the Thief for Relic of the Deadeye and you're good to go). It even uses staff as well.

You can play Quick DE rotations for a DPS build by using Be Quick or Be Killed grandmaster. Taking the SnowCrows bench with that trait gets 41.9K on the golem, and it’s comfy in real content because you generate a ton of your own Quickness. I know it's an exaggeration and I don't even play virtuoso but you need to be properly resetting and playing fast for 42k on cvirt. Laidback rotation with just the main weapon skills is 30k ish. Though that is still not bad considering the range, sustain, cc and others tbh.

Condi Virt is definitely one of the easier classes to play and you can easily get in the high 30's with relatively little effort. Getting it to 42k though still requires just as much effort as most other builds though.

Great points! I like to watch rotation videos on half speed (which I why whenever I include rotation sections in guides I always slow them down). Being able to check your log against the benchmark is super useful as well (definitely a topic for a future video). Spot on, after a certain point low DPS is basically just not pressing buttons fast enough.

Some classes do more DPS when certain conditions are on an enemy. For example, any thief build using the Deadly Arts traitline will have the intrinsic trait Exposed Weakness, which gives a 2% damage increase for each unique condition.

You're very welcome :) Conditions on the golem are super important. Like @WaterYaDune mentioned, some classes do bonus damage per the number of total conditions on the target. Most important though is Vulnerability which is just a straight 25% damage increase when vulnerability is capped (which it basically always is). for a build doing 40k+ DPS, Vulnerability accounts for 10k of that.

this game is very much focused on horizontal progression, meaning : once you get exotic, you are pretty much ready to raid and do other endgame content (excluding fractals). All you need is a group that is willing to teach, or be patient. i think his point is kind of just that if you play the game and do what you enjoy, you will passively get these materials, which you can then turn into gold. also as far as foods go, if you google : Clairyx/Standard Raid Foods , it will bring you to the wiki and will show you some great options as far as budget food options go. the most expensive ones, while obviously best, are really only necessary for min-maxing, and you can do totally respectable damage with the budget versions. hope this was helpful!

No, SC don't publish benchmarks done with hitbox size other than small. It is just the standard at this point, small hitbox, 4mil hp.

​@@sh1ro9 what he means is that on the hitbox selection you pick "average" since its the smallest available. The three options are average, large and huge.

Hi, the main thing that comes to mind is to make sure you add all conditions to the golem (especially vulnerability) as well as boons to yourself. The 25% from vulnerability would account for the difference. Other than that, it's hard to say without looking at a recording or a DPS Log. If you're able to upload a DPS log to the build advice channel on our Discord then it will be way easier to help.
