The Frequency Selection is not really smart choosen..., in my Opinion. Much better would be: 40hz, 120hz, 700hz, 3khz, 8khz, 14khz

In the Audio section, I only have the white text that says "Custom-tuned audio settings that" etc. I'm missing the Spatial, Spatial Audio and THX Game Profile tabs; while having only Google Chrome listed under APPLICATION MIXER. Anyone know why? lol THX Spatial Audio has always been a nightmare to set up for over a decade.

I had an Apogee Quartet, have a RME Babyface Pro an MOTU M4. I record mostly nylon guitar with 2 mics and synths. I only record on iOS (Cubasis & Multitrack DAW). My 2 cents: RME and Apogee were on the same level sonically. However, the Apogee recordings had a ready to mix (musical) feeling to them. I was worried about the Quartet OLED giving out, that's why I sold it. The MOTU M4 is very nice to operate (e.g. stereo linking by long-pressing MON1 button) without an app. I find the beed for a powered hub annoying, the M6 or ULMK5 would cure that, though. Sound quality is ok, however DAC headphone monitoring AKG Q701 & old 240 DF) can sound a bit boxy. Was better on Apogee and RME. Looking for ideas: Really looking for a new interface. The Apogee Symphony Desktop is visually the sexiest interface I know. Would also consider UCX II, MOTU M6 or UltraLite, Sound devices MixPre6, ...?? Requirements (iOS, preferably no app for control necessary, 2-4 HQ mic pres, 2-4 Line in, HiZ, DSP optional). Any ideas/suggestions?

Do you have settings for the dolby software for xbox, or should I not use that in addition?

I use them with Beyer Dynamic T-90 Pads. So the ears will have no contact with the driver. Good old headphones in my colletion.

I switched from the dt990pro 250 ohm to the dt880 edition 600 ohm. The dt990pro pierced my ears, but the dt880 is much easier to listen to. I highly recommend it if you own an amplifier with good driving power. It's a shame that it doesn't have a detachable cord, but it's the best for me in terms of price and performance. It gets better if you change the ear pads (unnamed ear pads made in China, the 23mm high mesh is torn. The sound is completely different with the thicker pads).

First off thank you for the video this was exactly what i was looking for. I have a quick question. Hopefully you'll be able to help me. I bought a new computer and got the sound blaster AE-7. However when I hook up my head set I don't get any sound to my head phones unless under the sound blaster command i have "Direct Mode" activated. However when "Direct Mode" is activated it greys out my equalizer and I am unable to edit the sound. Im not sure what to do. Thanks in advance.

one thing to remember is audio equipment that have the labels - Made in Germany Made in Japan Made in the UK Made in the USA all come with higher labor cost and taxes . I'm a total fan for all of the above and am willing to pay extra for those labels . Some people are not ,so,,,?

I don’t think your frequency response graphs are correct. Every other atrium open graph I’ve seen shows a severe rolloff past 40 Hz and yours doesn’t show that. Also, you show several headphones in their frequency, response graphs, and all of the low end and mid range was the same on all those headphones

Love the DT880 250 Ohm Edition I recently purchased. Have had the DT990 250 in the past (needs a cable repair, I broke the plug) and a DT990 32. Have loved all of them, even as a fan of the HD600. I do not find the DT880 as trebly as often claimed, nor the HD600 "too veiled." Both sound relatively "reference" to me, very different indeed, but not worlds apart either. I love the DT990 also. Good for all sorts of music-it is just a hated headphone from a "purist," "it must sound like this" perspective. I am not treble sensitive (love it, frankly, especially when it's extended and well done), so no Beyerdynamic offends me in the least, but also am NOT 85 years old. Hate the ageist connotations that older people cannot enjoy great audio, or that they can't appreciate how "bad" some headphones are. Maybe they like what they like, and you just do not enjoy treble at all? Nothing wrong with these older classics, and as the reviewer stated, a great value (and this 250 Ohm DT880 Edition is really among my best headphones for anything-both the HD600 and DT880 are excellent for "reference" lovers, with their own strengths and peculiarities.)

I love everything about the DT1990 pro, build quality is insane and the sound quality is great except the harsh treble which is easily rectified with EQ. But they are THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE HEADPHONES I have ever had on my head, I was unable to wear them for more than 30 minutes. It really was a huge disappointment having to return them, of course with anything YMMV if they fit you better than they fit me you cant go wrong buying these they are a great set of cans!

Greatest review of these cans I've seen on RUclips. I especially enjoyed your thorough comparisons of all these Beyers with one another. In fact, your review and comparisons were so good that made me immediately subscribe to the channel. My only gripe is that this video, from a year ago, is also your last video. Man, you'd be one of my top favorites if you start reviewing headphones, and audio gear in general. Based on only this video, I place you higher than a lot of these audiophile channels. Please, give a thought and come back strong. At the end, I hope that nothing serious is the reason for your absence and you're in good health. For a recommendation, it would be great if you could review the new Beyer DT 770 Pro X Limited and compare it to all these other Beyers, especially to the DT 900 Pro X.

Great review! I have these currently and am extremely happy with them. I was able to get them for $90! I only gamed with them once but currently I'm only playing RDR2 so idk how much that game really relies on positional awareness (I don't think much at all) but the wide soundstage does make the environment feel immersive. I also have the SHP9600. You mentioned the 9500 but I believe they're essentially identical in terms of build. I'm using the MA900 at work since I can FINALLY have an over ear set I can wear for hours. At home I use the SHP9600 and also HD58x. I think the MA900 is really really good. No slacker at all. Extremely happy I found them.
