    Quite frankly this reviewer gave good insight into this fantastic product.
    After auditioning the competitor the Mojo II & listening to it's personality (i.e. it's sound-signature), I then auditioned the iFi Gryphon & hello Sam slammed my money on the table.
    I'm telling you if a top-shelf hi-fi Dac/Amp is what you're after, with great wireless codec performance, then Bob is your uncle. I've listened to $2000 DAPs that don't sound this good. The Burr-Brown DACs in this thing well man oh man iFi pulled a rabbit out of the hat on this one 🥳 the iFi engineering like he said, incredible

    I actually just bought one this morning and all you've mentioned i accurate and true...happy with this purchase, more power! I now plan looking for a great active speaker to pair into it.

    I love your review way better then your typical delusional audiophile. I seen one review the guy said the Griffin had a V shape sound lol. Then they tell you about sound stage that comes from the dac. Your reviews are the best

    The rear or botton 3.5mm and 4.4 mm can be used as inputs and outputs. Please check the manual.

    Would you bother using this with the Mark Levinson 9505 since they have a built in DAC is there any point? Thanks!

    Very nice unit BUT i found it not practical. Its too larg as a BT unit on the go aspecialy when there is IFI GO BLU at about $200. Both units have relatively the same quality and limited by BT speed. If to use it with the phone via usb, somebody always calling and texting and you have to disconnect the XDSD to answer the calls. Included tiny usb c to usb c puts some strain on the usb port when you sandwich your phone with the unit Just go with the quality DAP and thank me later 😊

      I'm using a Sony NW A-306 USB as my primary source to the Gryphon

    Pleasee, try the New epos h6 pro. Said it imaging better than the tygr 300r. I was closing to buy the 300r and now i dont know what to do. Only for competitive gaming (imaging, soundstage and frequency response)

    Hi can i ask is this better than Creative Sound Blaster X4?

    • @axelfoley1768
      @axelfoley1768 2 года назад +1

      Bro the X4 is a different type of product. If gaming is your thing then you can't go wrong with the X4. If portable high-end elite hi-fi is your thing then the iFi smokes the X4.

      @@axelfoley1768 ok how does this compare to mojo-2 then i here mojo-2 and this ifi xDSD Gryphon are two that are best but im more confused lol i am not audio expert lol

      @@UmarAbid if you want to listen to audio from a computer, or do gaming from a computer, the Sound Blaster X4 (or the Sound BlasterX G6) is cheaper (only $149 US), and good for gaming (including surround sound) and movies, and also good for audio playback from computer (CD audio & WAV files).
      But if you want top-tier portable audio, and wireless Bluetooth features, then iFi Gryphon is the job.
      Mojo II doesn't support wireless Bluetooth unless you buy a separate streaming device from Chord (the manufacturer of the Mojo II) for $750 (US) called the "Chord Poly 2" which plugs into the Mojo II.
      If all your audio files are on computer, both the Mojo II & iFi Gryphon can plug into your computer.
      When you want 'portable' audio you have to plug the Mojo II or iFi Gryphon into your smartphone and play the audio from Android. If you don't like the inconvenience of plugging into your phone, you will need a dedicated portable audio player - DAP (Digital Audio Player). I can recommend the iBasso DX240.
      I listened carefully (with pro headphones) to both the Mojo II & the iFi Gryphon. To my ears the iFi Gryphon has superior sound without question. The Mojo II to my ears has a slightly weird tone - metallic treble, bland midrange, 'artificial' warmth, & the soundstage spread is not as wide as Gryphon. The Mojo II reviews are exaggerated imo. They hype it. Makes me wonder what is going on with those guys.
      And the Gryphon is about $80 cheaper than the Mojo II.

    is there a time lag in sound when u use gryphon as windows PC DAC?

    • @gamingaudioguide9292
      @gamingaudioguide9292  2 года назад +1

      not that I noticed. If you crank the format too high, I suppose it could introduce a small amount of lag depending on your setup.
