@@ALEX-xd7ko it wasn’t an option on alfaobd before but it is now. And it’s only for the 4th gen 4 digit codes, not the 5th gen 5 digit rolling codes. Also, there’s actually a bug in Alfaobd now which isn’t slowing you to pull the code. You have to use an older version of Alfaobd to do it.

@@ronr3669 my blind spot is factory 5th gen. The sensors are in the tail lights. My tail lights are from a 2020 Ram HD. They physically fit without issue but you do need a custom wire harness and programming to get everything to work properly. You would also need some kind of indicator unless you have factory tow mirrors. You could swap the glass out for ones that have indicators in them.

@@slacinace the 09-12 Rams have a lot of differences electronically from the 2013+ Rams. Really your only option would be to go with after market harnesses that uses resistors and splits out the brake/tuen signal.

I make wiring kits for this if you want. $40-$60 USD depending on how much wiring you need. Most trucks either have the hood latch connector but aren’t wired back to the BCM or they’re wired at the BCM but not all the way to the hood latch. Either of those scenarios would be $40.

How can I buy your harness?

Trailer harness still does not have a dedicated turn signal. I went this route at first but it still requires a module to break out the turn signal and another module to drop out the brake signal when the turn signal is on. I didn’t like the setup with having to use all those modules there I could accomplish better results by just running two wires.

Yes, 4th gen BCMs have the turn signal driver circuit needed to break out the turn signal and brake light. Thats how I was able to do it on my truck. I only make the harness for the 5th gen LED tail lights though, I do not make a harness for the incandescent ones.

Another question, if I were to go with the 5th gen LED tail lights, would the harness you make for the blind spot monitoring work with the non-monitoring lights? Or do you have to commit to whichever variant of the LED lights right off the bat?

My understanding is that the fault sense signal gets pulled to ground when the LED light is turned on. If the fault sense circuit remains high or is higher than the BCM expected then the it throws a fault.

You mean it does terminate at the connector under the fuse box? So you just need the wiring with the hood latch connector to the connector under the fuse box? Shoot me an email, I can help you out. Mrdougherty1@aol.com

@@hydroblueram other way around. The big fat plug has the wires for the hood latch in it but the other half of the connector does not have the wires but pin 11 at the bcm is populated. It just does not full the full way from the BCM to the plug under the fuse box. They must cut it off somewhere in the harness

@@chrismckenna5361 what year is your Ram? If it’s populated at the BCM then it should run all the way to the connector under the fuse box.

That’s a 5th gen CHMSL and the second camera is for a digital rear view mirror. I haven’t looked into what it takes to get that working on a 4th gen but I can tell you, if it’s possible, it’s going to be a lot of work.

On the rear wall. And you need a front and rear antenna and new fobs.

No, those need to be cleared by a locksmith.

It’s a setting change in the BCM. I don’t know it off the top of my head but I’m sure if you google it someone has a video.

Says who? I haven’t heard of anyone who’s had an issue using them. Unless this is a 2024 model year change.

I tried to use it. I have a 2019 and its as I commented. Only two ports currently connected to truck is wired up all the rest no wires are connected to any open ports.

@@Cantgetusernam I’m not sure what you’re saying but I’ve sold cables to people with 2018-2023 4th gens as well as 2019-2023 5th gens and they haven’t had any problems. I myself have a 2019 Classic. Would be helpful if you emailed me pictures of what you are talking about. Mrdougherty1@aol.com

The demo doesn’t really let you do anything, you need the paid version. And I use the obdlink MX+ mainly but I also have a $30 scanner that works just fine as well.
