I have the hood latch sensor and connector and alfa obd. As far as i know i only need the pin that goes in the bcm. Do you know where or how i can buy one. Would glad buy one from you if i can get in contact with you?

Do you know where I can purchase the pins that you inserted in this connector? I know I need to add pin 11 that goes out to the hood latch.

I make wiring kits for this if you want. $40-$60 USD depending on how much wiring you need. Most trucks either have the hood latch connector but aren’t wired back to the BCM or they’re wired at the BCM but not all the way to the hood latch. Either of those scenarios would be $40.

Can’t you just ground the circuit and skip buying the hood latch and all that extra bs?

The hood latch sensor is a safety precaution. In the world we live in, I don’t want to be liable for telling someone to bypass it and god forbid they have some kind of accident when they are working on their truck and they set off the remote start.

@@hydroblueram That I understand. I’ll just put a relay that is normally closed but opens when the the under hood light is sent power. Have everything in the garage for that. I just need to pull the back seat and make sure I have a antenna under the headliner. My truck is well optioned enough to be wired for heated and cooled seats… so I’m hoping that’s all there already. Then just turn it all on in alpha and see if the remotes I programmed start it. Kinda enjoy figuring out what works and what doesn’t. Helps the community better understand their trucks

@@nsboost all the hubs are remote start capable, I wouldn’t even waste your time looking at the hub. Also, not sure of the year but in the later 4th gens they started making an internal antenna inside the hubs and stop using an external one.
