2018 ram how to diagnostic wit scanner too

Mine is 18 ram 5500 I did the same it didn’t work. It still says this truck has security gateway code.

Yes it's 12 + 8 harness Chrysler

After connecting the 12 pin and 8 pin harness....Then do I connect the other end to my OBDII scanner?
