- In this video I show how to install the custom wire harnesses I make to add the factory 115V outlet/power inverter to a 4th Gen Ram that did not come with it from the factory.
Parts List:
Outlet, 68159295AB for 2013-2016 Rams
56046934AA for 2017+ 4th Gen Rams
Bezel, 1WP34DX9AA for 2013+ Rams
Inverter, 05026486AA
Bracket, 68050503AA
Bracket Screws, UNKNOWN
*some people have used the following in place of the factory screws for the inverter and bracket:
M4x.07x10mm bolt with washers x 4
M5x.08x20mm bolt with washer and nuts x4
I should add to my truck when I order, it seems kinda complicated.
My factory shows an open ground when I plug in a tester. Any ideas? Good work btw.
Do you know if the gen4 Ram with the 150w inverter can swap to the 400w inverter that the gen5 Rams have?
Post pictures or making a video on the wiring diagrams for this installation?
This is a great video as it answers a lot of my questions regarding power, etc. That said I got ahead of myself when I asked for the 2nd video info from your last. Regardless I would love to have the Part Numbers involved for the harnesses, inverter and bracket. My RAM is a 2016 Express , 2 door. P.S. i looked under the passenger seat and there is no Yellow Plug that I could find. Again, great video. Steve
I updated the video description with the OEM part numbers that I have. As far as the harness it is a custom harness that I would make.
Are you selling the harnesses? I would like to purchase if so.
@@bretthays2674 yes, shoot me an email. I’ll need to know some info on your truck. Also, there is one additional wire not I my video that is needed that runs from the BCM.

@@hydroblueram You've got mail!
@@hydroblueram That email address bounced back for me? I have a 2016 1500 Express.
Great Video, I was wondering if you have any knowledge of adding the factory inverter module in a 2022 Jeep Gladiator. I have the re plug and the power outlet behind the center console. I can’t find we’re the plugs are under the dash and the on off switch.
Unfortunately most of my knowledge is around 4th gen Rams. Wish I could help.
Thanks for the upload. That’s a 30 amp fuse correct?
Yup, should already be in the fuse box, F38.
Do you make the harnesses? Would like to purchase
Yes. Shoot me an email, mrdougherty1@aol.com
Do you sell the wiring kits the you make by chance?
Most of the wiring you see in my videos
I make and sell. Shoot me an email and I can help you out.

Where do we find the wiring

Why would it Ram installed this plug and not have it operational? I wanna power Mini cooler. I can't just plug it into the plug on my dash ? . I never knew that.
This video is about ADDING the outlet/inverter. If you have the outlet from factory then you already have everything installed.
@hydroblueram ohhhh lol ok so if I plug a cooler into that plug on my dash I'm good to go do you know if it draws power or works if truck is not running ?
@@--emt you want the truck running. It will not work if the ignition is off.
@@hydroblueram thanks bro
I have a 2019 Ram and my connection is in the rear center console
2019 5th Gen? This is a video for 4th Gens.
@@hydroblueram I know, but I can't find one for my model
Me too
Was the yellow con under the carpet
Should be attached to the seat frame if you have it.
