Yeah, most of the ppls think that mold (in cars) = places where you see it, where someone has touched their hands. But unfortunately that's not true at all. There'll be mold even under the floor carpeting, behind the door cards, inside the dash, inside the seats (cushion), inside the HVAC system & piping, etc. "It smells a bit" says Ed around 11:40 mark. Telltale how much moldy crap there's still in the cabin when it stinks even just after the cleaning / sterilizing process.
@@Gadne92.5they’ll probably end up fumigating the entire interior with a mold killing and nice smelling product that’ll kill everything that they don’t physically clean

The dash should come of and every HVAC pipe need to be clean . I m pretty sure that they are in the same state as the interior and it will be a hazard to use the ac as it will spread spores directly in your lungs. For a car in that price range doing it right is a must .

Also, none of those detailer’s solutions you’re using will prevent the mold regrowth or kill the spores. You should have called a mold specialist.
Typically, you would finish with an Ozone machine or some sort of chemical fogger than can fill the interior spaces and kill any mildew, mold, smells hiding out of sight. Imagine they did that here, just didn't show it.
I was going to bring that up. Just cleaning the surface of this car isn't getting rid of all the mold/mildew. It needs to be stripped down and everything cleaned to truly do it right
There is mold or mold spores everywhere inside that car including inside the vents. You have to start with a ozone generator for at least 4 hours. I would do 24 hours before I touched anything.
Should have taken every single interior panel out of car to clean the mold and mildew from the inside of parts. Guaranty the inside of the door panels are covered and the speakers in the doors and the center console are covered in mildew. The smell will never go away without a total disassembly and cleaning. It's a awesome car, do it right.
Sure, it looks good on the surface, but what about the vents, evaporator, heater core, under the dash, behind the panels, and under the carpet? Fungus isn't just a surface problem, it doesn't need light so can be and usually is anywhere and everywhere...

Is that a subwoofer behind the drivers seat? If it’s ported, I bet that mold/mildew is all inside of that speaker enclosure. I’d pull the speaker and check.
Wouldn’t you have to dismantle the entire interior to get the mold behind it? I imagine it’s full of mold back there too and not just on what is visible?

All the rubber on the tie rod ends and ball joints are rotted away by now. I am sure it is only a matter of time before seals start to leak as well. Rubber does not like to sit unlubricated.
