I use the 7440 daily and i cannot recommend it due to heat throttling issues. Sometime it slows down and checking with hwinfo, the cpu package hits the 100 C degrees limit. No dust or dirt is blocking the fan, it is just too weak. This should not happen to a business notebook.

Since you are providing basically a HOW TO video, why not show the HOW TO in the larger portion of the video instead of a tiny PIP window. Most if not all RUclips videos have the person off tot he side in a PIP frame while working on the device so that people can see what you are actually doing. just a suggestion I am sure someone else may have pointed it out. The most terrible thing about this product is that it goes to sleep at regular intervals. Every time it wakes up, there's a delay, making it inconvenient to use even as a basic "volume control device." Microsoft is truly clueless.

Linus from Tech Tips broke his Surface Laptop Studio doing this although in fairness he did not know all the hidden screws he had to remove. So this is doable but not easy. I installed a 4TB 2280 and it's been going strong for over a year now.

It didn't work several times and my phone disabled biometrics every few attempts. I think that its secure enough but perhaps isn't fast enough as face id on iphones or pixels.

Did replace the hard drive to 256. Went smoothly for the most part. Now i cant get the trackpad and keyboard to work. I dont see any damage done to ribbon cable. Only power button works and fn button lights but caps lock does not. Did firmware, driver updates and did multiple restore and no lock Any idea ??

T4 Torx for me. I've watched a number of similar videos and they usually recommend the T3 however, a number of people have stripped the head of the screw. I suspect that the T3 is recommended because it does fit. It's just that it doesn't fit as well as the T4. So, if you do have a T4 Torx, start with that and only use the T3 if the T4 is too big.

I use a Surface Pro 8. The first keyboard broke after 2 years, and the second one stopped working after just 13 months. Now I’ve had to buy a third one. And it's not cheap at all-it feels really ridiculous!
