As an old time Oregon coast calmer I have to laugh at that back torture device. What a horrible way to dig clams. First stay away from the water, it makes the holes cave in two fast. All you need is a stick and a cut down dirt shovel. I ran into an old couple on the beach that showed me this trick. I never even bend down to get the clam. Before I dig I know exactly how deep the clam is, where it rests in the sand and about how big it is before I dig. It’s all done from the top of the hole in the sand which you can’t do if you dig in the water. All you guys are doing is wrecking your back. But have fun clamming.

Could anyone else hear the screams of agony coming from that clam?😮

You know the oceans need to be a little bit safer and you people need to find something else to eat instead of the depleting all the sea life in the ocean

Can someone please explain or provide the "formula" on how much of the tax credit you actually get? Bought a NEW 2023 Model Y, single filer, make way less than the 75k threshold, but ONLY got $6k of the $7,500 I was supposed to get! WHY?? And no, I never owe on my taxes.

I am running into this same issue where I am trying to generate the form and it's generating with the primary owner and not the secondary owner's details. I re-submitted the request and now it's showing the primary owner's name with the secondary's owners SSN...what a mess!!! Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi i did tax file but i was only getting 1200 its the tesla tax credit 7500 supposed to get all money once

I disagree there was a question while putting owner’s information at the app, write down SSN and name who wants to claim credit on tax and it did say it’s not changeable. There is no glitch you missed it.

I took delivery of a used 2021 Tesla in Janurary 2024. The IRS website that I could claim a "clean vehicle" tax credit of up to 4000. I'm not sure if the credit has been already claimed, however. What should I do? Thanks.

Why do you use an expensive knife to open clams?

I bought it in Feb and sold in December. When I now log in and try to generate the form, it says that I have no vehicles available! I can't even call in - what to do?

I bought mine April 22nd 2023 and I just looked and Tesla filled out the form and completed on 1/24/2024 which was just a couple weeks ago so yours should be filled out by now. Hopefully you didn’t already file your taxes.

Why do you want the secondary owner to claim the tax credit? Couldn't you have just made them the primary owner when you bought the car? But I guess it's good that you brought this up and I'm surprised no one has been telling people that they should look for this form after purchasing their cars. When I first bought a Tesla back in 2018, Tesla included the form with my paperwork. And when I bought my latest Tesla last year they didn't say a word about it.

That’s normal, they always make these process hard and difficult. If about payment to them… you always get it done the 1st time😂. Also you should have not fall for these kinds of shinny objects that lure you buy this kind of vehicle

I did my taxes yesterday and claimed the 7,500 credit. Though, I am the owner. Sorry, it seems that there is a miss communication in the system regarding secondary owners.

I found the form 15400 on my Tesla account. I'm sorry what do I don once I downloaded the form do I include it on my Turbo Tax or ask Tesla to submit it to the IRS?

it is IRS issue, not Tesla....Tesla has no control about IRS form.

why need secondary owner on the form. Just do the return on the primary owner if for 1 credit.. unless you want to claim two credits....???

Fortunately, I did not put my wife on the Tesla, since we file jointly, I don’t think we have a problem. When we put the Vin number in the IRS form, it worked fine, so does this mean Tesla generated the form and sent it in? I do feel like I’m totally missing something. Is there a risk of not getting the $7500 , assuming we have $7500 federal tax liability 😢which we do. It’s February 3. Waiting on some cash app stock trades to be reported then I’ll be filing taxes. I hope they’ll be no issues, but if they’re are, I’ll come back here complain
