Hey David, why did you stop posting your videos?
everyone hates HR coz we feel you are the goons of mordern day thugs. no one hates you, you are hired to save every CEOs ass... in a nuthsell have you watched the movie ford vs ferarri ? well every HR is 'LEO' as a character. I am deeply sorry to see so many hate towards HR, its just we wish we could share the same desk and then you will know why.
HR at my old job won't let me visit my old job. I resigned but didn't get fired. I'm enraged now.
HR gets a bad shake, but you need to meet them halfway as a worker. When complaining about my boss I provided 7 months of evidence that he and the boss’ boss was covering multiple HIPPA & harassment policy violations. Instead of “firing” them, HR proposed & had implemented a position “streamlining” that happened to remove those exact positions. Cheers!

No HR will try and find dirt on the person that needs to fired and proxeed to use slimy illegal and cut throat business tactics to get there way, even in the largest corporations...never settle with HR and never believe HR, they are liars...always contact your lawyer

Hi David, Great video - very informative. I have a bachelors in Social Work and I’m looking to move into a HR space. I was wondering what your thoughts are on the Graduate Diploma of HR for entering the workforce and how it fairs in terms of future employment prospects. I was looking at a masters however, it’s rather expensive. Any advice?

question: i see on the left side in your navigation that every PARA part is a 'workspace'?( under private) you can relate to them. so the projects can relate to the Areas. I thought everything needed to be in 1 thing. and underneath that you make the para structure? Can you then also make a dashboard with relations to all of them ? my mind is boggled right now...

this is the opposite of what HR do, they would have said OK - then gaslit the crap out of the employee and fired him. The most useless 'profession' ever, worse than estate agents - really low barrier to entry, any f**kwit can do it - but they actually think they are clever and doing a real job. I worked at a software dev company - HR just caused problems. The CEO sacked the entire HR department and never replaced them, everyone was much happier - he just had people running payroll etc and that was that.
i hate these people. I swear , as a salesman, i can read better through minds than their crappy psycologycal degree, i know when they are interested in me and the way they talk to me, and most of the time, they dont fkin care, and i can notice that the interview has to be delivered by me and not by their technical questions, which , they dont ask cause they dont know. They lie a lot and the decission depends on their fkin mood simple as that
Hr will not talk as this if manager raise any complaint about employees he will be under pip if he is good performer also hr will come up with other issue like ur are distrubing team and ur have behavioural issue because managaer doesn't like u. They dont have time to talk to team members . Hr doesn't have time to talk face to face. Many hr in india doesn't talk properly with resource

I was threatened with physical violence at work, once. Reported the guy (he was an obese man with edema in his legs so bad it looked like a pinprick would burst them so, not intimidating lol) and you know what HR told me? "Well, he apologized! What do you want us to do?" Uhm, how about FIRE HIS ASS? THEN, a year later, I get fired for missing a meeting on my day off, a day off my manager APPROVED. Fuck Human Resources. All it exists to do is make otherwise useless women feel like they aren't.

HR is like a viper's pit. If you dare to step foot in there to talk to them about any issue, you can be sure you're next in line to get fired. Their job is to screw people's lives whilst protecting the interests of companies that rise to the top by exploiting their employees till there's nothing left to exploit.

My boss was exactly like that and HR was firing me quietly without real reason and without letting me understand a thing.
This role is an artificial ideological construct invented by David Ulrich a few years ago. This is one of the typical successfully promoted pseudo-useful consulting tricks. The key question is what exactly this so-called HR business partner is ACCOUNTABLE for and what decisions he/she has the right to make in relation to what and to whom. And how exactly do these accountabilities and authorities (A&A) differ from the A&A of any other HR specialist (C&B, T&D, TA, “Generalist”, etc.). The problem is that when they try to explain the role of HR in the organization, and in particular, the role of the so-called HR business partners, they forget 2 things: 1) that it is managers, and not HR, who are accountable for the staff subordinate to them, that is, it is a manager (not HR) who is accountable for a) the working behavior and work results of their subordinates, b) the teamwork of subordinates, and c) the enthusiasm/engagement of subordinates. 2) any (not only HR) employee of an organization is, BY DEFINITION (by labour contract), obliged to partner (do his/her best to cooperate effectively) with all stakeholders in the organization. Therefore, guys, PLEASE stop mindlessly repeating, like parrots, mantras about the HR in general and the HR business partners in particular. Turn on your heads and finally understand one single simple thing: EVERY HR specialist must be able to partner with all stakeholders in the organization. There should be not specially created "partner" roles in HR or Finance, or Logistics, or Marketing, Sales, Production, or in the Legal department. If the employees of the organization do not know how or do not want to interact effectively, then no dedicated HR employee (whatever he/she is called) will solve this problem. Management and only management of ALL FUNCTIONS should be held accountable for this by their direct bosses. And about HR, it's enough to simply say that 3 things are expected from ANY specialist in this field: professionalism in his/her functional area, business understanding and leadership (as from any other specialist in any other function in any organization).

I just stumbled upon enlightening but the real issue is that HR at least in America they don't even do their job and the fact that they hire people that are not leaders they just put anyone in America in a position management trainee program for two years then became a supervisor then became a manager but I see teachers get promoted to principles without having the key steps necessary to be a leader at least here in America and American leadership is sucks that's all companies are feeling left and right
Get a job.
HR is people with zero skills and zero intelligence, but somehow they believe they help people do their job better. In reality they are sociopaths hired just to carry out firings.

Hello , new to your channel and subscribed. One doubt i have in using PARA method. I have PARA folders implemented in multiple systems - Apple notes, google drive, macbook , icloud drive . My PROJECTS folders have multiple project subfolders inside them. Similarly for AREAS , RESOURCES , ARCHIVES have multiple subfolders. google drive (PARA) - because when i am at office we cannot connect to icloud drive. icloud drive (PARA) - because i need to sync my documents in apple ecosystem. Apple notes (PARA ) - because i keep all my notes there instead of Evernote. Macbook (PARA) - because i am saving big size video files and photos locally in my macbook. My Question is : Do i need to daily copy paste manually all the contents of my PROJECT subfolders to all the different PARA systems implemented ( eg : google drive, macbook, apple notes ,icloud drive) to maintain sync between them ? Please do reply. I am very confused on this PARA system.
I have a similar system but I don’t copy and paste across all my platforms.
