    As a HRBP how do you influence others to match your way of thinking? Or persuade them to do something that they may not particularly want to do? Do you have any examples for the above?

    I'm going through the interview process right now for an HRBP role and was given several questions to prepare for with the hiring manager. One, I'm not sure how to answer as it varies depending on how an organization views what an HRBP does. The question is: tell me about the biggest project you've worked on as an HRBP. I've worked on so many projects! Some that I have thought of include switching our payroll system over to another program and being part of the beta test team, as well as rolling out the program and training at my site to the employees and leaders. Another is conducting engagement surveys and increasing the engagement percentage by 20%. This was followed up with focus groups and one result from the focus groups was performing a pay analysis and increasing the pay for about 2/3 of the hourly staff who were not falling within market range. Are these good project examples for an HRBP?? Thanks!

    • @DavidMalan01
      @DavidMalan01  3 года назад

      Hi Lisa,
      I think these are great examples!
      I would be thinking about what examples you can provide which demonstrate the biggest impact to an organisation’s bottom line or what examples demonstrate a cultural change.
      In this video I go through some actual HR Business Partner Interview Questions and Answers, it should help you with your preparation! ruclips.net/video/ovGtkzOIozA/видео.html

    Great video, thank you for sharing. In a large organization with HR specialists, would an HRBP be responsible for ownership of career development of employees like hosting educational workshops outlining different paths and career progression and skills for employees ? Also creating mentorship programs, and library of useful educational courses they can take ? I’m being asked to do these things and I’m not sure if this falls as part of HRBP role as I’m new to the role. Thanks so much. Appreciate any feedback you can provide 🙏

    • @DavidMalan01
      @DavidMalan01  2 года назад +1

      Hi Iris,
      Thanks for your feedback!
      It really depends on the organisation and the HR department.
      In some organisations, Organisational Development will design the frameworks i.e. Career Pathways, workshops etc and then HRBPs will be responsible for implementation.
      In other cases, HRBPs will be responsible for the development of content.
      Hope this helps!
