Putting it to use within 5 minutes sounds a bit fanciful to me. I've spent a whole afternoon trying to get on top of the pedal and the software.. it's not at all obvious to me how everything works. I am now getting really good results; having downloaded some captures from The Studio Rats and Tone Junkie. It works amazingly well.

Amazing how things have changed. One pedal for £150 can basically emulate, with incredible accuracy, a million pounds worth of pedals and amps.

I have the free VST plugin, & the few amps you get sound really good!

My question is, Are the normal sized pedals still traditional through hole construction or Cheap SMT builds like the mini pedals. All Boss pedals have been SMT since 2014. All the big corporate stuff is now $12.00 SMT crap as well. A eye is sheity quality.

Thanks for the video! I just got my TONE X yesterday. I agree the software isn’t terribly intuitive, so far. The standards presets are great though and yes, that feel of it was surprising to me-didn’t expect that. Without software, it can be figured out fairly quickly, but it seems all the magic is in the software, as it should be. I emailed them this morning saying the app/interface was very confusing to me. IK replied in about 3 minutes apologizing about the learning curve and can be frustrating. They attached their video tutorials which I’m sure will teach me how to use it just fine. Very nice folks. If you get confused, they are there to help you that’s for sure.

Completely agree with you. I'd been using the UA Dream as my main gigging modeller for a while, but picked up a ToneX One to play around with a month or so ago. Within a week it had replaced the UA Dream on my board. Don't get me wrong, the Dream is a great pedal but the ToneX One, paired with The Studio Rats 'Best Ever Tweed' profile just sounds and feels amazing. It takes pedals brilliantly too. Now I need to get another for my practice board!

You expained about the bufferd or true bypass in your video but i don't understand why you place them all in series? if there is any important difference it's now inaudibel Love my (simple?) ODR-1 on 18V it's always on my pedalboard an compaires with nothing of my other overdrives

Excellent review fella. Great playing. I thought I had enough guitars, but I’m not sure now.

more switch on the clean tune for the standard but there's not much different and the distortion sound exactly the same. the boost does makes it a bit difference. But it's like buying a tv these days lol, once you got it home there's no resolution side by side comparison so you learn to live with it lol. but for budget and quality might be the preference. I would say if that's the only guitar that you going to used then the standard. but for specific playing style and you have other guitars too then the element. thank you for your thoroughly review.

Thanks a lot for your time and efforts. As a Tonex Pedal owner I do believe I'll get a new Tonex pedal just to use in front of the Tonex itself to emulate all the pedals I need! It is better than the tonex one because of the screen that could help to recognise which stomp you are using! This device is a true killing one!!!

Fantastic review as always !! Keep up the great work !! This guitar is amazing...... Just a note for anyone who is a bit worried about a Floyd Rose system - you don't need to use the Floyd Rose system, just keep the nut section unlocked - and tune it like a regular guitar.

The blue one is actually more expensive in The Netherlands. How weird.

Had both for a day, instantly returned them. Not bad, but also not awesome. But the same I could say about a Klon Centaur, Zendrive, Box of Rock or OCD. About a Tube Screamer anyway. They all did not improve my amp sound, but made it worse, trashier and more unbalaced, so nothing for me.

They need to put tremolo's on their jazzmasters.

I’d go with Timmy if I was going to choose 1. I’ve owned the real Prince of Tone, original Tumnus, and the Timmy V2. I’ve never tried the MXR versions but seems pretty close. I might need to grab one. . The Prince was cool but had a certain vibe and wasn’t really transparent for me. Kinda thin? But rad in its own way. The Klon and the Timmy stack really well together like they’re made for each other. They make a gain baby that’s pretty cute. Never had a Nobels…

I have the TE-62cc SFG. I don't want another guitar in the same colour. Why can't they just make a fiesta red ST Modern? I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Heck, at the very least make a black version and an olympic white version (with a white pickguard). It's insane that we can't get none of these guitars in classic colours. That goes for the TE-62cc as well. No butterscotch blonde version.

Well sorry to be a buzzkill, but this is not new new design. It actually is almost the same as guitar called Revelation also made by Mr Etwistle. I had one back in the day, and they are very nice instruments. My only gripe back then was the fretboard made of artificial wood that I really disliked. Other than thatz awesome guitar at that price point.
