Completely agree with you. I'd been using the UA Dream as my main gigging modeller for a while, but picked up a ToneX One to play around with a month or so ago. Within a week it had replaced the UA Dream on my board. Don't get me wrong, the Dream is a great pedal but the ToneX One, paired with The Studio Rats 'Best Ever Tweed' profile just sounds and feels amazing. It takes pedals brilliantly too. Now I need to get another for my practice board!
Ha ha, yep, that's what I found too... I've tried a bunch of modelers over the years (including a few from UA, which are very decent, I agree) but the ToneX was just the first one I personally connected with in that tone AND feel way. I don't miss anything from my analog amps with it, which is kind of scary and kind of great at the same time! The Studio Rats' presets are amazing, as are the ones from Amalgam Audio... enjoy yours, however many you end up with!
Thanks for the video! I just got my TONE X yesterday. I agree the software isn’t terribly intuitive, so far. The standards presets are great though and yes, that feel of it was surprising to me-didn’t expect that. Without software, it can be figured out fairly quickly, but it seems all the magic is in the software, as it should be. I emailed them this morning saying the app/interface was very confusing to me. IK replied in about 3 minutes apologizing about the learning curve and can be frustrating. They attached their video tutorials which I’m sure will teach me how to use it just fine. Very nice folks. If you get confused, they are there to help you that’s for sure.
Well that's awesome customer service, and just another reason for choosing ToneX as well. I wish all companies were that on it when responding to people, let's put it that way 😉 Hope you get yourself into it ASAP, as there's loads more to discover... I might also be able to help if you are struggling, so feel free to let me know if there's anything else you can't quite wrap your head around. Try some of the free Amalgam Audio and Studio Rats presets... they were real game changers for me in terms of tone and pure feel! Enjoy 🤘
I've got two of them - saves a lot of space on my desk, requires no seperate power-adapter - just USB - recording and practicing has never been easier. I wish you a merry X-mas and an inspiring new year 2025.
Putting it to use within 5 minutes sounds a bit fanciful to me. I've spent a whole afternoon trying to get on top of the pedal and the software.. it's not at all obvious to me how everything works. I am now getting really good results; having downloaded some captures from The Studio Rats and Tone Junkie. It works amazingly well.

I'm not surprised to hear that! Cheers Team IK, and thanks for making this wonderful little beast of a pedal!

Sold! I’ll take 3 to get my wdw backup board!
That would be a thing to behold for sure! Do it!

I went with a nux amp academy as it had a loop and a xlr di out
But maybe I should still try it out
I have the free VST plugin, & the few amps you get sound really good!
Great video
Cheers, glad you enjoyed it!
I think exactly the same 😉
👍🏻👍🏻
It doesn't seen very usefull to use live
