      Awesome, they're just coming in to stock in places here in Europe, so hopefully you should get yours soon! It's an amazing pedal.

    Good evening dear friend, it looks like a decent overdrive with a very nice sound including a pleasant appearance and control, I like it. I have had an overdrive pedal from this brand for some time now, also in green it is probably called Mini, but I am not entirely sure. Greetings Pavel CZ.👍👍👍

      Hey Pavel, it's a lovely overdrive and incredibly versatile! Yes, there is also an ODR-mini, which I guess is the one you have (me too!)... but now there is also a new ODR-mini 2! This one just came out as well: thmn.to/thoprod/602237?offid=1&affid=1250
      I have a video coming very soon with it too. I love the vibe of the ODR drives - they work so well for all the styles of music I make.

    I use the Nobels ODR-1 and do not use the bass cut feature. I pair it with a Fender Deluxe Reverb Tone Master. I set the Drive at 9:00, Spectrum at 12:00 and the level at 1:30. In my opinion, the "X" version defeats the original purpose of the ODR-1. It was not made to be your final stage of Overdrive. I use it as an "always on" pedal. I have other pedals for Overdrive and Distortion. The way I use it, it brings my amp to the "sweet spot". BTW, nice job on your video.

      Thanks a lot! Interesting points too. What's your main guitar? Single coil or humbucker (or other 😉)? I do think that makes a big difference with the bass response.
      But yeah, the Nashville guys used the ODR-1 as an always-on Telecaster sweetener, and that's definitely a core use for it. In my vids I like to showcase everything a pedal can do, but for me I'm also much more about the lower gain and transparent tones from the ODR-1, and I love combining it with my Greer Lightspeed and my Timmy.
      The Gain Boost takes the ODR-1X into a whole different ballpark and I'm here for it, but it needs to be used sparingly and at the right times and it does have huge amounts of heft! Cheers for watching and enjoying 😊

    Hello, what is the model of that Telecaster ?

    • @RichWordsMusic
      @RichWordsMusic  23 дня назад

      Hey, it's a 2014 Fender FSR Satin Tele in Ocean Blue Candy. Made in Mexico, and it's been my main guitar for 10 years now. Originally it had a single coil neck pickup but I got the neck humbucker put in. I also put the three-saddle bridge on (it originally had a modern Tele 6-saddle bridge). I love this guitar!

      @ Thank you! I just found one used on Reverb, unfortunately I realized it only has 21 frets. I need that 22 fret.

    Why do people always say it’s a secret pedal or secret weapon among Nashville players. . It’s pretty well known that a lot of Nashville guitarist use it.

      It used to be... was a cool story! But it isn't any more, you're right. There might be the odd person who doesn't know about that, I suppose, but most people who know about gear will know.

      @@RichWordsMusic Yeah.
      The bass cut is obv post gain cos the more gain you dial in, the MORE low end you hear!

    So the Nobels ODR-1X is a clone of the Wampler Belle which is a clone + improvements of the Nobels ODR-1.

      Ha ha, as long as they're all making each other improve with every new design I guess it's good news for us guitar players! I don't think the ODR-1X is a clone of the Belle, but I need to research and see exactly what the Clipping button on the Belle does...

    It is a great sounding pedal but like all OD's there is no such thing as the best. There are only OD's that are best for a specific tune that one feels requires it. Because of this I would consider the new mini. I have and use 22 OD's scattered over 3 boards and all 3 boards are patched together to be controlled as one from a switcher and in real time. I only play original material and play 34 tunes I wrote at my gigs.

    • @RichWordsMusic
      @RichWordsMusic  25 дней назад

      You're absolutely right... I guess I clickbaited just a little with that title ) Very unlike me, as you know. There's a best overdrive pedal for any setting, and not just a best pedal full stop. Even a pedal that can successfully pull off all the best tones won't be best for some people, as it's not a one-stop option!
      The new ODR-mini 2 is possibly my absolute favorite the more I play it (video on that coming out this week too!). It's super simple and the Bass Cut roll off knob really elevates it above the original mini. Could definitely be a contender for one of your three boards! If I'm ever in your neck of the woods I'll be at one of your shows for sure!

      Yes, I did! It's like that on all the Nobels pedals these days and I think it's a great touch :) The prices are really good - I also have the new ODR-mini 2 and the DEL-mini and they are both highly recommended! Cheers for watching :)
