    As an owner of 4 Gibsons(including an SG Standard), there is absolutely nothing wrong with Epiphones, and no reason a professional can't play them, in fact quite a few do.Enjoyed the video, keep it up. This one is on my list, either this or the p90 special.Thanks

    All due respects dude. It's 2024. Anyone who's paying attention knows knows the mid-upper range Squiers and Epi's these days are pro-level guitars in their own right, with great looks, build quality, playability, and tone. How bout you play it a little for us?

      @@chooko9250 if you look at my channel a little more you will find me playing it a bit. I own several Squiers… there’s no doubt they’ve come a long way, however the essence of this guitar is a game changer if you play one. It is unequivocally an absolute masterpiece to play. Effortlessly…. And with my left arm and wrist so badly damaged from my motorcycle accident..ease to play is very important to me. Especially because I can’t feel much of my left hand and fingers from the nerve damage. This guitar makes that handicap “almost” disappear for me. Very few guitars do that. If you get a chance to play one of these I’d highly recommend it. Thank you for watching my video. I appreciate every comment..

  • @johnwebb2562
    @johnwebb2562 2 месяца назад

    Hi 😊. If you find a guitar you like and bond with , don't despair if it has a high gloss neck. You can easily render that. If 🎭 you mask off the head and body carefully and with some 0 or 00 steel wool rub off the sheen gently and Bob's your uncle. Don't be afraid to make an instrument your own. Production guitars are just generic concepts, they are just a rough tool to be modified, even the most expensive boutique guitars fall short of being good 🎵🎶 musical instruments.Have Fun . Best Regards. John.

    @Thenon-mediocreguitarist Great guitar my friend! I never played one of these. One day, when I hit up G.C., I'll make sure to sit down and play one of these. Plug one of these guitars into my amp of choice, Line 6 Spider V60 MKII, same amp that I own, or the new Line 6 Catalyst CX 60, or Catalyst CX 100. How well do the pickups hold up on this guitar? Also, if I ever plug this guitar into a Line 6 Spider V60 MKII amp in Guitar Center, how well will the pickups sound, if I go to the insane setting on the amp? Super stoked to try this guitar out at G.C. I wonder how well this guitar will handle a set of Dunlop Heavy Core strings on it. Perhaps, the Jim Root Signature 6 string set, that allows you to play in Drop "A". And play all those heavy Slipknot riffs.

    Never met a Gibson guy that crapped on Epiphone. Not saying they don't exist, just think that's pretty rare if they exist. Most Gibson guys are just guitar guys and all guitar guys want 1 of everything.

    hello sir I'm a mediocre guitarist and plays a PRS S2 594 it feels really comfortable and the tone is great. Been looking to buy another PRS and based on the reviews that I'm seeing people actually like them PRS even the SE line up. They just have their new SE CE 24 and a lot of people are liking it since it's the cheapest guitar on their lineup. Nuf yapping hope you have a nice day

    I got this guitar a few years back. Been playing for 20 years (semi-professional) and always wanted to try an SG and a guitar with p90s. So killed two birds with one stone (also had an employee discount). So far I've changed the pickguard (tortoise looks good with the green), bridge, and recently put Gibson tuning machines on it. I love the way the neck feels. I was intending to swap out the pickups but these sound really good to my ears.
    I had it sitting in it's case for about a year while I was playing with other guitars but recently pulled it back out to use in a reggae band and fell in love with it again. Great guitar. I mostly play jazz, funk, soul style music. Would be interested to hear how it compares to the Gibson.
    Also, RIP Bill of Bill's music. Good people at that store, served me well over the years.

    You have the ignorant bias that alot of guitarists have. I had it as well. Once you realize that they are human beings making guitars EVERY day. Then you realize you get good at it. China manufactures can make anything you ask for. You want cheap? Here is your chibson. You want high quality? Here is your Eastman.
    I have an Epi 61 IBG that I love. Also have a westcreek racer that was 200 bux new. Its an amazing guitar.

    I got a Gibson Sg faded in 2016 for about 500 bucks new. I always though those weren't so good. But then some friends tried to make me trade that one. The price have gone up since then and I gotta say that I still rather buy a SG faded than a Standard. I don't now what it is exactly but the satin finish surely plays a big in role in that.

      @@Thenon-mediocreguitaristI have a very very ADHD-addled brain, and after reading his comment I am watching every second of it out of principle haha. What I can say is that I enjoyed what you were saying, your anecdotes and seeing the guitars. I did have to watch it on 1.5x speed though. What I would recommend is getting into editing and cutting down the pauses, having some B-roll to exemplify what guitars or thing you are talking about. I would highly recommend looking at editing styles that some bigger guitartubers utilize to keep the flow and transition. I will stick around a few weeks and enjoy your vids! There are not that many new guitar channels that manage to establish themselves anymore so I would love to spend some time with your videos here. Gotta say I REALLY liked that Epi SG.
