    I like it. Yes, it's odd but it maintains a sense of style and class. Pretty rare combination. Thanks for the demo, very nice.

      I agree, and I love the fact that Slick actually decided to go with something a bit different than the usual affordable clone guitar brands! It sounds and plays as good as it looks too - really impressive all round. Thanks for watching and enjoying the vid!

    It's an interesting and simple guitar, reduced to the minimum to get best results. Bronze and brass is a good resonating material and brings a special "flavor" to the tones of the guitar. This guitar sounds good and for that price it's a very affordable guitar. I like the pickups, they are very versatile and balanced in their sound. I don't like guitar sounds that are to shrill. This guitar has no tone potentiometer... Sometimes it's very useful to have the possibility to adjust the tone, but in this case I'm happy with these pickups.
    Great video as always!

    I had one the chance to play a Slick SL52 (LP style guitar) and was amazed by the look, the fat and at the same time clean tones from this guitar.
    You should check it too.

    Yep - I've got the bright Blue Turquoise one, and really like it. I get very "Strat-like" tones out of the neck pickup. Imagine a single coil output, but with a wider "aperture" (range of vibration area) and hum-cancelling. Very versatile, actually. I've used this guitar for Doom Metal tones, and it works great.

      Cool bridge, adding a brass nut would complete the look 🧐

      @@PooNinja Ooh, great idea… not sure why Slick didn’t do that too! Well, actually I’m sure there’s reasons. This is definitely an extremely different axe!

    How do you change Pups without touching the Pup selector?????

    • @RichWordsMusic
      @RichWordsMusic  Месяц назад

      Editing ;) Play the riff once on one setting, then again with the other and cut between the two as seamlessly as possible! I should probably learn to switch as quick as the pros do, then I'd only have to shoot each part once and do it live ;)

    Harley Benton TE90 twin?

    • @RichWordsMusic
      @RichWordsMusic  2 месяца назад

      That’s definitely the closest cousin to the Slick I’ve seen! It’s a look and vibe I really like and I’d love to try the TE-90 one day as well 👍

      I own an SL60 and it’s a cool guitar. It has some neck dive for sure, so I’m not a fan of that at all. The neck needed work. The pups sound really good, bright and perfect for playing almost any style.
