Thanks for the review. It‘s the Joyo for me because it sounds alright and it is pink. My theory is the more expensive you buy the more likely you are going to replace your stuff.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! The Joyo is excellent indeed, and loads of fun. I see where you're coming from on the gear replacing front... but maybe that says more about the buyers than the gear in some cases ;) I'm definitely guilty of going down the expensive route sometimes.
Good evening dear friend, great demonstration of 4 fuzz pedals. I have this particular EHX and Joyo model at home. I haven't connected the Joyo yet because I'm working on such an obscure thing and that's connecting 2 PB Palmer 60's together, exclusively with Joyo effects. I bought the Joyo together with the new green Joyo Bright overdrive (I hope I remember the name correctly) + the relatively new Joyo Hot Witch fuzz pedal from the R series (also not connected yet). In total, the set will have + 20 pedals. Personally, I've had the EHX Deluxe Big Muff for a long time, it's great in combination with modulation effects from EHX and an expression foot pedal (EHX, of course). I've been looking for a way to fuzz pedals for a long time, now I have every PB fitted with this effect. I can definitely recommend, I am also considering them, EHX Triangle and Ram's Head Big Muff. The Rude Tech looks great and so do the other pedals, everyone has an idea of the sound in their head, of course including the price. It's always a hard choice, but it's for fun, so let everyone be happy with their choice. Thanks for the video and have a nice weekend. Pavel CZ.👍👍👍
Thanks for the review Rich. My EHX RamsHead Reissue (original played by J Mascis and David Gilmour) is a nice fuzz pedal. I think my Way Huge Swollen Pickle Smalls pedal edges it though on tones and functionality however. I enjoy using the DOD Carcosa fuzz too. The Walrus Audio Eons looks very nice too albeit pricey for a fuzz. We are spoilt for choice these days. Cheers
Thanks Keith! We certainly are spoiled for choice these days. I've been on the lookout for a used Swollen Pickle for ages now - I saw it on an Andertons video (they blind test about 15 fuzzes and the Pickle ends up doing very well!) and have to have one. They don't seem to come up much though. The Ram's Head is also on my list. I have the Carcosa and the Eons too, and they are indeed both great! They're both incredibly versatile and do anything from a light drive to spotty madness... which can be fun! I will do some videos featuring those soon. Cheers and rock on!
I wasn't for years and years either, now I am! Give it another try... can't go wrong with the $25 option ;) Gary Clark Jr. makes everything sound so good!
I'm afraid you can't sell me on a fuzz to add to my chain, but it's interesting to see these comparisons. Is it my old ears or the quality of my speakers, but they all came so close after some dialing in. The 3Muf-14 is the one I'd choose if you put a gun to my head, because of its versatility, not because of its Big Muff replication excellence, which it did very well.😊
Ha ha, fuzz is one step too far for some people - as it was for me for many years! So I totally get that. But yes, these are all relatively similar, and the 3MuF-14 is the one I'd pick too - it can do anything the others can, and more. Which of course comes at a price, but hey, that's all part of the game, as we know ;)
Someone beat me to it - Swollen Pickle for me. Although I have just discovered the Stone Deaf Fig Fumb - another really versatile pedal. It's just a shame it's the size of a small city car.
Yep, I've got to get a Swollen Pickle in - as soon as I see one used near me I'm going to pull the trigger! Need to check the Stone Deaf out too... it's an expensive rabbit hole, this fuzz one :)
Yep, it's funny but you're totally right. Fuzz sounds like an amp that's broken 😅 I hated fuzz for years and years (bought a Big Muff when I was a kid but wanted to sound like Green Day and Rage Against The Machine! Which didn't work out 😉) but in the last couple I've sort of rediscovered it and am living falling down this rabbit hole... it does sometimes make the transparent drives feel a little pedestrian in comparison!

Best way to test, thank you
that sonicake fazy cream is SOOO NICE
Yep, it's amazing! Super fun little pedal.

That boutique muff looks great , I liked the cheap tone wicker muff instead.
It's truly awesome... but you can do great things with any Muff I think. Even the $25 Sonicake sounds awesome to my ears!
Fuzz on sir im not a fuzz guy but, i’d like to be. Gary Clark Jr. makes it sound so good.

@@RichWordsMusic ill send him a FireHorse to try once my design is finalized ( probably sometime after the blug amp X is released)
The Sonicake Fazy is so small, it will fit perfect on my pedal board...
Exactly - I love the practicality of it, and it sounds great too!

Cheers my friend!
I prefer my fuzz shaved! ;oP
Oo-er missus!

Problem with Fuzz is, by its very nature, it sounds cheap and crappy. I suppose some people find a place for it but not this OD connoisseur?

Gotta love those Muff tones!
