California in 1940s. Filming a movie scene on Oakland Bay Bridge (San Francisco)'2CH Dashcam'
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.Год назад
The original videos were filmed for a movie scene. Based on the sun positioning the rear and front videos were shot with time gap of at least half an hour, if on the same day. The same set of cars with the same 'moving' sequence was used in the both scene shootings. The videos were synchronized by simple slowing down or speeding up a bit certain sections.

Bear Infestation! Mama bear raises 3 cubs in green belt area next to high-rise building and school
Просмотров 140Год назад
The whole summer Mother Bear has been raising three cubs next to 9 floor apartment buildings in the green belt area between multiple apartment and townhouse complexes. Papa Bear also was spotted several times. Normally, warnings to residents are posted, but not this time. Nobody noticed? Or didn't want to interrupt the Happy Family Time? Most likely , if "The Gang" had been reported, they would...

sad to see how it has changed---
The west is the best.. Nope, The past is the best.
1952.
It's cool the way you chose the intersections for the comparison parts. 🙂
One fantastic video. Makes me remember the Earth with 2 billion people, no Hyundais, no Kias, no imported rubbish of any kind. Back in my day... Yes, I am old, but I saw it before it all went to shit.
Since there were no lanes or signalling back then presumably being able to read the minds of other drivers was a prerequisite before taking to the road.
shows how far this country has tanked since the 1950's
I'd rather be living back then !
I'm impressed how much better palms looked in the 50's. On the now pictures they look like they have anorexia or something.
It's a 1947 base license plate, that used '48, '49, and '50 metal date tabs. Can't read the tab. '48 & '50 tabs were aluminum color and the '49 is white. I guessing that it's 1948.
Nice ride, with background music for the mature viewer. 'Singing In the Rain', 1952, is on the marquee. Those are 1951 base license plates on the cars, that used a metal date tab for '52, '53, '54, '55 but I couldn't get a good look at the tabs but I'm guessing '53 or '55.
Makes me want to cry what our Americans government USA 🇺🇸 has turned into Democratic people that wants. Our country turned into 1 world makes me more than sick. And our poor kids. God we need your help more now than ever. Amen
Seriously doubt this is Hollywood in the 1920’s unless they were making 1948 model cars in 1920
Notice the palm trees still living......even the Liberal Demoncraps cant kill them !
good times, but smoggy
This is where I live I rode my bicycle and driven that street my whole life thank you for doing this
Hell, will you be around in 2050 ?
Just what I was wishing to see, and the algorithm came through for me. (time travel match-ups) 😉Great job !👍👍
...what's the background music?!! ...that second song JAMS! ...& the third!

Looks To Be 1951 By The Newest Cars Spotted. The Old Fat Palm Trees Lining The Streets Were Replaced By New Thinner Ones. Loved That Old Cigar Nosed Studebaker Stopped Behind The Camera Car.
The music just SUCKS.
And I love seeing American cars. Japanese cars don't belong.
Wow, it was so much better before. Nice and clean, no drug addicts, no encampments, and no governor Reagan and no president Reagan. How I miss my hometown.
Way better in the 60s - nice and clean, pavement in good condition, and no Japanese cars.
1950’s “road rage” at 5:57.
LOVE how slow everyone is driving as opposed to people nowadays going 70mph down sunset and screaming at people to move over LOL
Me guilty right here
For all of you pining for the "good old days" of the 1950's remember that our taxes were over 50% a year...so there is that.
Really??? 😱😱😱
thats pretty amazing that Ralphs has stayed on that same spot all these decades (knows in the 80's and 90's as Rock n Roll Ralphs due to the number of struggling musicians who lived in the area and bought all their groceries there, usually in the middle of the night after gigs). There is still a good deal of old Hollywood architecture still going strong along sunset.
50s la is so much better than today
Watch the video somewhere on RUclips of old Bunker Hill ca.1949, some of which was filmed for movie back-projection purposes (and can be glimpsed in a Cornel Wilde picture of that era). Someone else has produced a side-by-side video of the changes in the L.A. central area streetscapes since the '40s: it's depressing.
2020 has no soul.
Super, super-cool cars beautifully built with stunning designs and colours. Love the Nylons sign. Sunset Boulevard is such a classic example of American 'smooth style' it's like watching an film clip of an American Film Noir or similar. Thank you for adding colour to the peoples clothes, buildings, cars and so forth it's amazing and fascinating to watch. ❤❤❤
A big problem with colorizing is that it makes many of the cars look dirty.
Must be summer of 1948, as the trolly tracks arr gone with just a few remnants left and I saw a 49 Ford, which hit the streets in the spring of 1948.
Much better before. Much cleaner, no Datsuns and Toyotas, just REAL cars.
I was hoping to see a young Columbo and his car in this 🤣
Ugh, GEEZ…this music! What the hell were you thinking????? My god, otherwise fascinating video ruined by this noise!
Seems like it would help these "restoration" channels to have the side by side. Just as there's a full spectrum of color today, there was a full spectrum then. Everything wasn't muted lavenders, pinks, grays, etc., that these editors incessantly use.
Наверное, стало слишком много чёрных и цветных. А мало белых Закат европейской цивилизации. В России происходит то же самое.
Excellent let's go back,, was born in 50,, father bought a new 54 Ford,, green... His brother had a 54 Chevy.,
What movie was being played at the theatre in the 40’s?
The still photos are science fiction in the forties.
This is incredible, you can see Schwabs pharmacy that appears in the film Sunset Bulevard in 11:11. Garden of Allah (a famous motel famous people stayed, including Elia Kazan, Bogart, Garbo, and Errol Flynn) comes next in the same side on the right, and then the camera turns left and you can see Chateau Marmont, were John Belushi and photogapher Helmut Newton died.
Notice how slow and relaxed people drove back then?
Yeah todays world of drivers is just ugh man
After moving to Los Angeles in February 1963, I took a job at an oil company in downtown Los Angeles. The city looked pretty much the same in 1963 as it does in this video. It was a very exciting place for a girl from San Bernardino County, which is east of L.A. Couldn't afford a car, so I rode all over L.A. on the excellent bus system. I often visited stores along Sunset Boulevard. One summer I rode a bus for about an hour and a half from downtown to Santa Monica every weekend to go to the beach. It was a wonderful time to be alive.
I had to stop watching this as it was so frustrating. t should be split screen so you could actually see the differences.
The cars were so bubbly looking.
😮😮👍👍👍👍👍
Back then everybody were driving american cars ... Today they are mostly imports . 😢
