Let's Do Some Insulating
The wall is stripped and it's time to insulate!!
But before I can do that I need to figure out how I can get some insulation behind the electrical panel and OSB. I come up with a plan and it seems to have worked out OK. Then I finish insulating the rest of the wall.
But insulation is not complete without vapor barrier. So I staple up some vapor barrier and then tape all the seams and prepare the vapor barrier bags around the outlet boxes with tape too.
Now I'm ready for some sheathing, but that'll be in another video!!
Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy the video. Please 'thumbs up' me and leave me some comments. And if you haven't done so already, please consider 'subscribing' to my ch...

Let's Move a 16 Foot Workbench
Просмотров 26112 часов назад
Well it's time to fish or cut bait!! I've decided to finish insulating the shop!! So in this video the first thing I need to do is move the long 16 foot workbench. It's covered with 'stuff' from the mechanical side of the shop that I haven't cleaned up yet. So I have to clear the bench. That means I need to find a place to stash all this 'stuff' that is on the bench!! Then I have to figure out ...
Some Repairs Aren't Always Needed
Просмотров 25221 час назад
We all have repairs that need to get done. But sometimes the repairs are not always needed!! Have a look and see how I think the battery on the Estate Car is no good and then find out it might not be bad. And then to top it all off I think I have a bad GFCI ground fault interrupter outlet on the camp and come to find out the GCFI was fine!! Yes sir, some days you're the hockey stick and some da...
Estate Car Hydro-locked

I've been dealing with my small engines being hydro-locked the last while. Now the Estate Car has fallen victim!! I was lucky because it was just hydro-locked and nothing more serious than than. The sump sure had a lot of gas in the oil. But I managed to drain everything and change the oil and some other parts and pieces and I think the Estate Car is back in ship shape. Have a look and let me k...
Installing a Heat Pump in Grampie's Workshop

I'm finally doing it!! I'm putting a heat pump in the shop!!! Have a look and see what's goin' on. I have my son Derek come to the camp and install the heat pump and I spend some time prepping the shop for the install. It was a lot of work and Derek worked like a trooper the whole day but we ended up basking in the cool air from the heat pump when all was said and done!! Thanks for watching and...

The Shopmade Fuel Dolly build continues. I need to get a handle on this project!! In this video I show the trials and tribulations of trying to get a handle on the dolly that will support the weight of 2 jerry cans filled with fuel and also a handle that will be usable!! This second problem was one I was not anticipating. But this wouldn't be a 'cliff hanger' series if it were not for a few cur...
A Shopmade Fuel Dolly Part 2

Well I'm continuing with the Fuel Dolly Build. In part 2 I install some wheels!! I kind of have a vision of what I want this dolly to look like, but to get to that point there are a lot of grey ad fuzzy areas!! Like for example how to mount wheels. I want the dolly to be mobile and able to get anywhere on the property with minimum effort on my behalf, so big wheels would probably be better than...

But like my grand mother used to say to me, "Too much of one thing is not good!!" LOL I enjoy watching you build, develop and organize your shop. I can see you have a plan and it takes a lot of time and shuffling to get that plan executed eh!! Your shop will be sweet though. How's she goin'? Thanks Kevin. Some days in the winter it gets pretty cold, -25 or so. But I had the diesel fired space heater and that would warm it up pretty quick. Trouble is it made a lot of condensation, plus where the shop wasn't heated continually, the condensation would be really bad by times. With the heat pump and the insulation, it should make a world of difference. Thanks a lot for commenting. Take 'er easy!!

How's she goin'? I accidently found out about the heavier vapor barrier. A long time ago, when I was building our house in town, I went to the lumber yard and wanted some vapor barrier. The buddy said all they had was 6mil. I didn't want to look like a rookie so I said, "I always use 6 mil poly" And when I got it home and started to install it I said to Janet, "Well I don't always use 6 mil but from now on I will!!" It sure does go up a lot easier than the thinner stuff. The 6 mil poly stuff kind of goes where you push it and stays there better too! Thanks for tuning in and take 'er easy!!

Did you ever have one of the tile games? Use to be a pretty common stocking stuffer. There was a picture puzzle printed on tiles

That is a big job to do but well worth it in the end. I moved my big workbench a few years ago and it was an afternoon job. When I built it I used nails and it took everything I had to get it off the wall. Worth the effort though. I like the look of the Philips head screws but they can be a pain to remove. Just think of the reorganizing you will be able to do now. Thanks Mike. Stevo

Once that shop is all insulated and tickety-boo, you'll be able to put a bed in there and list on Airbnb! lol Take good care, hope Nannie is feeling better with each passing day...and make sure to take a little time and enjoy the weekend!
