Good morning Mike. It's always nice to have all the family get together. Hopefully it's nothing more than an issue with with the voltage regulator or voltage rectifier and not a failing stator. Nice when it's as easy as flipping a switch on a power bar. Have a great weekend!

Hello Mike! There is always something to fix or look after. Glad you figured it all out. It doesn't seem like the crawl space is a pleasant place to hang out lol. Take care
How's she goin'? Well it's called a crawl space because that's exactly what you have to do. And then once you get under there to where you need to be, then you have to turn yourself around into some pretzel shape to reach what you need to work on!! Sure not as much fun as it used to be!! LOL Thanks for watching. Take 'er easy!!
Hey brother. It’s been a while for me to get a comment out there. I have been busy. How is the missus doing. I am not up on my subs. My fault but summer was madness. Like you say “life gets in the way”. Hope to stay updated. Take care brother.
How's she goin'? I hear ya Darrell about being busy. I try and watch and comment on the videos but the time is sometimes just not there. Janet is doing pretty good. Still not great but better than last week!! Glad to hear you had a busy summer. Busy good I hope!! Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Well Brian going under the camp is never a fun job, but I was kind of happy it was just the breaker that was tripped. But then again, I wasn't too happy I never thought of that and reminded the kids before they plugged in the kettle!! LOL Thanks for tuning in and take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Dave as I approach the autumn of my life, I'm getting behind on keeping up with the repairs, but I can still do them so that's gotta be a good thing eh!! Take care!!
How's she goin'? These are kind of 'bad news - good news' days eh!! I was sure the repair of the outlet was going to turn into a major undertaking and all it was was a breaker tripped!! But going under that camp is not as much fun as it used to be, but this time everything went well and all is right with the world again!! LOL Thanks again for watching buddy and take 'er easy!!
Must have been fantastic to see all the family together!! Lots of fun times for all I'm sure!! Gotta get a new battery for the truck this year before the cold and snow arrives!! Didn't realize that batteries have increased in price so much as it has been a number of years since I bought one the last time...sticker shock!! Forget the lighting, we're just all impressed that you have gotten yourself down and under there...I think I'd get in, but need to make sure to have a rope tied around me as I might just need someone to help pull me out!! LOL I had the same thing happen with my AC...I'd thought I blew something bad, but nothing was showing up until I took a moment to think and realized that my power bar had a breaker. Who knew...I'm not sure, but I know I have power bars that don't have breakers, but I guess pretty much all the new ones do now. Sure wish all fixes were that quick and easy! Not so in this house it seems! lol Take care and keep dry...I'm watching Otis dry right now after that first walk this morning! Anyone want to enjoy the smell of a wet Otis, you're all invited!! LOL
How's she goin'? Ha Ha Ha! Getting under the camp is not as much fun as it used to be!! I spent a lot of time under there when I was building the camp, but now it's kind of scary to be honest. You never know what you may find or run into!! LOL I bet Otis loved the rain, but the smell of wet dog is kind of powerful!! In fact I think I can smell him now on the breezes coming from the sou'west!! LOL Take 'er easy!!
Hey you’re not lazy Mike you’re efficient! Lol. Easy fixes are always the best. Might want to get rid of that power bar to save you more trips to the crawl space. Yup, crawl spaces are definitely one of my least favourite places. Cheers my friend.
How's she goin'? I tell myself riding around on the Estate Car is efficiency and not being lazy, but sometimes I don't believe it! LOL Moving the power bar should be on my 'to do' list pretty soon I expect!! LOL Thanks for the visit Mike. I hope you are all well and take 'er easy!!
It sounds like you had a fantastic time with family. It sounds like the estate car is going to need a stator. You did a great job getting under the camp, it did not look like a fun job but it is good that it was a simple fix
How's she goin'? Going under the camp is not nearly as much fun as it used to be Joseph!!! I hope the charging problem on the Estate car is as simple to fix as the GFCI problem!! But somehow I doubt it! Thanks a lot for taking some time to watch and comment. Have a great weekend!!
Hi Mike. I just wrote a long, wonderful comment, full of fun and laughter as always and then i TOUCHED THE WRONG KEY and the whole thing disappeared and I don't have the strength (or the memory !) to write it again, so this is what you get, a watered-down comment that has neither the UMPH nor hilarity I intended. All the best and great video. See what I mean- this comment just doesn't cut it either.....sigh
How's she goin'? Hey Craig, don't worry buddy, I can read between the lines and I thought your comment was top of the pot!! LOL Hey: no squirrels were injured during this video and the best news of all, the squirrels didn't even chew through the wires!! When I had no power at the outlet I was sure the wire was chewed off somewhere. Anyways, it's all good now. Take care!!
Got lucky on that fix, but it sure feels good when a potential huge task turns out to be an easy one. I hope the charging system on the estate car is as easy. Maybe a bad connection. Thanks Mike. Stevo
How's she goin'? Thanks for the visit Stevo!! When I didn't measure any voltage on the GFCI I was pretty sure the critters, like a squirrel, may have chewed off the cable. It was not easy to get under the camp and so I was thankful it was only the breaker tripped. Now I need to find a way to make that breaker more accessible!! I'm hoping the charging circuit on the Estate Car is a simple fix too, but that not be so easy!! LOL Take care!!
Mike, great video again. I can tell the love you have for your family in this video. What would we do without voltmeters?! I use mine weekly. Greetings again from rural Tennessee.
How's she goin'? Great to see your comment again Scott!! I was an industrial electrician and so a voltmeter was never tool far away from me!! LOL It sure was a great time having all the family around the camp again. We used to do this a lot more but as the extended family grows, it's harder to find a time when everyone can get together!! Thanks again for your support of the channel. Take 'er easy!!
Mike the tractor charge line fuse maybe, also last battery I bought from crapy tire they charged $20 enviro fee plus $2.60 sales tax but when I brought the core back they only give back the $20 , hopefully they changed that by now it's been 5 years ago.
@haneyoakie14 13% sales tax , $7 a gallon for gasoline and every item sold is 30-40% higher than in the USA plus a crazy carbon tax on gas/diesel natural gas , home heating oil and electricity so who's government is worse 🤣😅
How's she goin'? Thank for that heads up Steve!! I'll check that first. When I bought the battery the guy at the store, Lennie, did a great job explaining to be about the tax part. He told me if I bring the old battery in when I buy the new battery then no tax would be on the enviro fee. But since I'm an hour away from the store it would have cost me $3 bucks for gas so I just took the battery and will bring the old one in the next time I'm in town. So the part about paying the tax hasn't changed!! Thanks for watching. Take 'er easy!!
Hey there Tom. Now don't be putting down our government, we do a good enough job on our own!! LOL If they weren't teh government the government would put them in jail!! LOL Take 'er easy!!
Sounds like a wonderful day at the camp. Lots going on to be grateful for eh. At that age the battery sure doesn't owe you much eh. My backup generator usually doesn't last any much longer. I had to get another battery for our skidder. $350 and change out the door. After a load test we ended getting two of the flipin things as winter is close. Starting a 621 Detroit at -20 is a test at best. Yup, you have a low output on the Estate. 13.6 on high would be nice 12.8 or so at Idle would be best but that you already know. As expensive as they are I keep a new one on hand all time mine seems to eat them up 1/2 way through the winter. I have no idea why but after 25 years I just accept it for what it is. Any ideas from you ? Seems things come by in 3's (there it is again, lol) Batteries, Transmissions, home repairs tires and on eh. I saw it a lot when we had an auto repair shop years ago.Voodoo or ? again I just shrug my shoulders and take it on the chin, LOL. Have you ever consider a few 60 Watt lights under the camp and insulating the floor. Ugly jobs but in the long run a feather in yer cap old friend. At least tou have a reasonable space to your under to get into and move around in. When living in the cabin I used to have to breath out to get under about 1/2 the joists. I DIDN"T BUILD IT, LOL. In those days my 6'7" frame had a hard enough time getting around under there. Thumbs up, ? daned straight my dear friend. Sure wish we were neighbours. We could put a tunnel in between the 2 shops. Leave yours as is and mine as a machine shop built for a wheelchair. It would be a blast eh, LOLOLOL.
How's she goin'? It sure was a good time at the camp that weekend. Having all the grand kids and great grand kinds and our own boys and their wives; the camp was chock a block full and Nannie and I loved every second!! I did have the floor of the camp insulated with spray foam. Made a big difference. I used to have fiberglass insulation but that was just a mice hotel I'll tell ya. Since the spray foam no more issues that way. I have heat tape on any exposed water lines, but the are very few and I plumbed them right tight to the floor where it's warmer. And where the water line comes form the well I have a heat tape on it and then wrapped with 6 inches of insulation. Dare I say it, never a freeze up yet!! The battery was 5 years old and I guess it lived it's life. The poor thing, I didn't realize the charging circuit was fubared. Some repairs needed there I guess eh!! That'll be another video some day Dean!! It sure would be great if we were neighbors. It would scare ya to know the projects and creations we could come up with eh!! Take 'er easy and enjoy the fall and cooler weather old friend.
@@GrampiesWorkshop I can see the foam now. It really is the best. I am in a mobile home that has a level entry. It is on tubes with regular insulation. There are 4 vents that get pluged in winter, screens in summer. The crawl space is about 3 feet deep and we/I can move around fairly easily; With it being so far down in the earth I don't have heat tapes. I have a radio type thermometor where the water line comes out of the ground. The coldest it gets down there has been 3C at -40. I hear you on the mice though. I have a mouse zapper that works great. I rigged uo a line with a couple pulleys I can empty it out without going under. Works great.
@@TomokosEnterprize I use the old bucket filled with antifreeze. Not too good when pets are around but there aren't many pets the wonder around and we keep the door to under the camp closed so it usually only is filled with mice, shrews, moles and the like. Works good all year with the antifreeze.
@@GrampiesWorkshop I used to do that with a 5 gal bucket with a dowe and a toilet paper tube with peanut butter on it. Opening camps up that hadnt been used for years. Antifreeze of course. One camp I got 25 in one bucket overnight. Damned things can burn down camps by chewing on wires. Squirels are bad for that too.
Mickey didn’t eat your GFI wire, but maybe he ate your stator wire? Or maybe it is just a rectifier diode gone bad. Or crusty terminals. Looking forward to the video of that outcome. Praying for Nannie.
How's she goin'? Thanks for the prayers Tom. They are appreciated. I was thinking it was mickey or his buddy the squirrel that ate teh wires but it was just a breaker tripped. I hope it's just a bad connection for the charging circuit too. Thanks for being here tonight. Take 'er easy!!

How's she goin'? Some nice of you to watch and comment. Thanks! I kept the new battery because the old one was 5 years old. I put it the charger and left it overnights on a slow charge and the battery voltage was still on 12.5 and it didn't do well on a load test so I think there is a bad cell in the battery. I'll return it to Canadian Tire and happily take my $20!! LOL Thanks for watching. I enjoy the comments so keep them coming too please!!

Hey Mike , very glad it was a somewhat easy fix for you . Have a good week . 👍🏻
How's she goin'? I was pretty happy it was just the breaker. I was sure a critter had chewed through the wires!! LOL Take 'er easy!!
There’s never an end to the small jobs! And sometimes it can get pretty messy😛
As long as we are able to get to them we seem be able to get them running.
Take care!!
Have had days like this lol. Looked like a horror movie when you were under the camp hahaha. Great video Mike, take care.
Good afternoon Mike!
Well Gary, how's she goin'? I hope you are having a great weekend!! Take care!!
No refund on tax? Your government is as bad as mine.
@haneyoakie14 13% sales tax , $7 a gallon for gasoline and every item sold is 30-40% higher than in the USA plus a crazy carbon tax on gas/diesel natural gas , home heating oil and electricity so who's government is worse 🤣😅
@@SteveRobReviews Kamala wants to make us just like you. 😢
Bonsoir Mon Ami, You are like the man of the deeps (ruclips.net/video/KRP72u2tyKY/видео.html) I was very young (about 9 years old) and I asked my mother where these people on TV were from and that's when my mother explained Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, I knew I was going there like I knew I was going to work on the Aurora and I still remember that feeling at that age too!!! And that's exactly what happened from 1991 to 2000 😇👍👌I Like Your Fun Story On Your White Board 🤣👍Ho Ho The Garden Tractor as an Electrical Problem,,,, Cheers 🍻🍻
Comment ca va mon ami? That's a great story Dave!! So you were an airframe mechanic from an early age!! I like that. I always thought being an airframe mechanic would be the ultimate job!!! Congrats to you. And I am from Pictou County, a great coal mining history there, so being referred to 'Men of the Deeps' is a very nice compliment!!! Merci et a la prochaine!!
Yeah 5 years is about the average on any battery I reckon, toasters and kettles cause problems for you knees on this one Mike 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good day eh!! I expect the old battery has a bad cell, but it should be good for a back up maybe. If not, I'll get $20 for it!! LOL If I was on the ball I would have reminded the kids not to plug a toaster and a kettle in at the same time!! LOL It's all good now though and my knees are healed up pretty good too!! LOL Take 'er easy!!
Grampie did you decide to return the new battery or do you think it’s time to change it out anyhow .
Take 'er easy!!
Hey Mike! Why walk and have to carry your tools when you can use the estate car! Do everything you can to keep it running Brother!
How's she goin'? Amen to that Doug!! My feet bother me a lot too so being able to drive around in style on the Estate Car is important!! Thanks for watching Brother and take 'er easy!!
That’s just things happen for me but me, they just stay bad and come back after I think I fixed them and are still bad….Just keeps a guy thinking…..CHEERS
Hello there Gator!! Of yeah, I've had lots of repairs like that too. I figure I did a top notch repair and before you get turned around, it's broke again! LOL But it's keeps us out of Tim Hortons eh!! LOL Take 'er easy!!
that's kinda unhandy to have to crawl back under there to reset the power strip.
How's she goin'? I have to agree with you that one Vernon. My crawling days are quickly coming to an end!! LOL Take 'er easy!!
Hi Mike 👋, you went under there like a ninja 🥷, pleased you got the power back on. I hope it's an easy fix on the tractor 👍
Jeepers Mike!
You went under there like a special forces commando!
How's she goin'? Thanks Nev I always expect to find something under the camp that I don't want to find! LOL But this time it was just the breaker tripped. A good find!! Nothing that would bite me at least! LOL Thanks for the watch and take 'er easy!!
Hey there Gary!! When the captain says 'go' we go right!! But I was the captain on this one and I still went. I even surprised myself!! LOL Take care!!
G I Mike 🪖 I think RUclips ought to pay you hazardous duty pay for this one sir 🫡
How's she goin'? Ha Ha Ha! Thanks Bill. I keep expecting to find snakes under the camp but I never have. I'm sure not a fan of snakes so I guess that's why !! LOL Take care!!
