How's she goin'? Thanks for the nice comment Tom. I appreciate it!! Janet is having a hard time with her recovery, but her hip is doing well. Other medical issues are rearing their ugly heads!! Take 'er easy!!
@@GrampiesWorkshop Good morning buddy hope Janet feels better real soon I have IBS as well and that’s no fun for sure mine is much better since I retired from driving because fatigue can play a big part if that as well hope everything comes together for you guys take care enjoy your week . Are you guys getting much rain in your part of NS here in NB in this part we need rain big time they keep forecasting it but we don’t get it brooks are real low okay I am rambling on take care buddy
@@tomfillmore9710 So you sure know well what IBS can do to your day eh!! It's no fun for sure. Glad you are having a better time of it. Another good thing about retirement eh!! Take care Tom
Hello Mike. Great story about that board, I'm glad you found a good use of it after all these years. The drawers are coming along well. I'm happy that Nannie is doing a bit better. Take care
How's she goin'? Thanks John. Nannie is a fighter and she is giving this battle the attention it deserves that's for sure. Thanks for watching. Take 'er easy!!
Many prayers for Nannie and you as her caregiver, Grampie. We know Jesus is The Great Physician and with Him all things are possible! You would have a chuckle right now if you could see my Dad attempting to fix a jammed paper shredder with a putty knife. 😂
How's she goin'? Thanks Hannah you're prayers and kind words are very comforting. Maybe Bill could check in the Great Physician for some advice on paper shredders!! LOL All joking aside, prayers are powerful and we sure have come a long way on the wings of all the prayers and well wished we have received from folks like you and your parents. God Bless You and take 'er easy!!
Hey, Mike. Sure good to see you again in the shop build and a great big thanks for the update on Nannie J. I must show you my board streacher, LOL. You sure got the best out of that one board. Once I finally figured out my dove tail jig I have never looked back. Strong and the corners look really neat. It was great talking to you the other day. It eased the weight on my worysome shoulders. Great post old friend. Take care eh.
How's she goin'? Thanks Dean!! Your care and concern for Janet is very comforting to both of us. You talk about a dove tail jig, I was once going to try and make a box joint jig. I kind of made a very simple one but it was hard to get the cuts to repeat correctly for each side on the joint. One of these days I'll have at it again! Thanks for being there Dean. You are a comfort and a true friend!! Take care!!
@@GrampiesWorkshop Too bad I am so far away. Even in the wheelchair I can still offer some knowledge on what you have happening. Box joints are often hard to set up from side to side but I would have to be there to show you. Trial and error is hard to get just right. All the best to you and your girl bud.
How's she goin'? I had to do some head scratching to try and get as many drawer pieces as I could cut form the plywood. I hate to waste it! Thanks for the prayers. We got you card today. That was pretty special!! Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? You know it Bill. Look after the better half and then the better half will make things better for us all!! LOL The progress on the shop has kind of slowed down lately, but I have some videos made ahead, just need to edit them. Thanks for watching and take 'er easy!!
Praying for Nanny and that’s very handy saving all that material. Every little bit counts when you kneed it for a project. You’re making good progress Mike….CHEERS
How's she goin'? Thanks for your prayers for Nannie Gator. She is making progress but it's not as quick as we thought it would be. Your prayers are helping though!! Take 'er easy!!
Glad to hear Nannie is progressing, even if it's slow progression. Better than the alternative. You cut those waaaaaay more square than I ever could have.
How's she goin'? Thanks Bruce. Nannie isn't making the gains we thought she would, but never the less, she is making gains and like you said, that's better than the alternative! I always try and make things as square as I can. I am careful and measure well to make the cuts. And it boggles my mind why sometimes things turn out square and sometimes they don't!! Weird eh!! Take 'er easy!!
Mike my buddy you are definitely a design master of what ever you do. That was definitely some fancy cutting looking forward to the next part of the build. Send our Love and prayers to Nannie on her recovery and hope the road is smooth for her. Take care my friend.
How's she goin'? Garry you are too kind with your words, but thanks!! And thanks too for your prayers for Nannie. She is making small gains I think and that's the way we want to keep it going! Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Thank you for your prayers Mike. You know Janet is a strong willed woman and it's hard to get her down, but when she is feeling a bit defeated, she is bolstered by the fact that there are good folks like you in her corner and praying for her!! Thanks for that and God Bless you! Take care!!
Good to hear nanny is home, healing at home is much better for everyone. The drawers are going to be well made and strong by the look of things. Thats good because ya can load them up.
How's she goin'? You know Kenny, healing has a lot to do with state of mind and to be in the hospital, well that doesn't bode well for a comforting state of mind, so being home is definitely a lot better all around. Thanks for tuning in and take care!!
A hip takes a little while to recover but she will be so much better when she’s all healed up. You are fixing up the shop top notch and going to be awesome. Cheers Mike👍
Hello there Lloyd!! Thanks for your encouragement. Janet's hip, I think, is doing good. Her other health issues are holding her back. But we're gaining on them slowly! The shop will be a nice spot if I ever get t finished!! LOL Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Thanks Brain. Janet is a strong willed woman and she'll get the better of this surgery and her other health issues too!! That piece of masonite could tell enough yarns to last through a 24 if it could only talk I'm sure! Take 'er easy!!
Thanks for the update Mike ! Glad your taking good care of Nannie 👍Nice you got some pieces cut & ready to go together , Great video 🙏🙏Keep well look after Nannie # 1
How's she goin'? Right on Griff. Looking after Nannie is my #1 job for sure. The drawers are going to be nice and sturdy as long as they fit the openings eh! LOL Thanks for the nice comments and take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Thanks Bob!! I was finally able to get the video edited. It takes a lot of time when I only get to work on it 1/2 hour at a time!! Thansk for tuning on. Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Thanks Len. Nannie is holding her own. She's a fighter. Glad to hear, as an electrician, my carpentry skills are OK!! LOL Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Thanks Nev. I'm pleased with these drawers. I think they will be good and sturdy eh!! Nannie is a fighter and she'll beat this for sure. She is looking forward to getting back at the gardens!! Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? You know it eh!! I figure you'd need at least a 24 to hear all the yarns those drawer bottoms could tell!! Thanks for the kind words for Nannie brother. Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Thanks Vernon. Nannie is doing pretty good as far as her hip is concerned. Her other health issues aren't cooperating too good though. But we'll get through it I'm sure. Thanks for tuning in. Take 'er easy!!
Howdy Mike. Interesting history on the 70 year old navigation table top. Who would have thought that someone would have saved it for so many years to later cut up for drawer boxes, lol. Glad to hear that Janet is getting better. Take care!
Making some mighty good use out of material for sure! Gotta make use and save some cash where a person can! Things will be looking mighty fine!! Hopefully all is improving on the health front. Prayers and good wishes for sure!
How's she goin'? Thank you Bruce! Prayers are a great way to help and support Nannie in her recovery!! With the cost of wood these days, if you can save a piece it is worth the effort eh! Woof Woof Otis and take 'er easy!
I hope Nanny continues to improve! Great history on the masonite, Mike. It's almost a shame to see it get cut into pieces. But it is being put to good use.
How's she goin'? Thanks for your well wishes for Nannie Rick. I have had the masonite for a long time and now every time I open one of these drawers I'll think of my dad! Pretty neat really eh! Take 'er easy!!
Great story behind the masonite sheet Mike 👍🏻. It must hard for Nannie to take medication with her other issues 😢. I hope she gets better soon, tell her to stay strong Mike. All the best from Kathleen and I. 👍🏻🙋🏼♂️🙂🇨🇦
Salut Luc!! Thanks for the nice comment. The masonite would have a lot of tales to tell if it could only talk!! Janet is a trooper and a stronger person I don't know. Her will to beat this is keeping me uplifted. Bonsoiree Kathleen and have a great weekend!!
Interesting story about the Masonite I like hearing about things like that. I'm still praying for you and Nannie I have been through a couple of broken hips in my life and I know recovering from these things is not easy. Tell her I said hang in there and keep fighting.
How's she goin'? Thanks Ronnie. Janet is a fighter and I know she'll battle this till the last day!! The actual hip surgery I think is fine, but her other health concerns are taking their tole on her now. That masonite sure would have some stories to tell eh!! I'm glad you enjoyed the back story!! Take care!!
Hi Mike. Nice work on the drawers. Another argument for having a wells stocked storeroom. 70 year old Masonite will be working for the next 70 as drawer bottoms. 😀😎
How's she goin'? Thanks Dave!! I was putting off using that masonite for a long time, but I felt this project was the one it was intended for!! Take 'er easy!!
Glad to hear nannie is working towards recovery, it takes time. Drawers are coming along. Most try and cut the material right the first time but I find the failure rate is higher. I always cut larger then fine tune. Good call Mike. Stevo
How's she goin'? Thanks for your kind words about Nannie's recovery. I like to cut on the large side and then trim back like you say. Much better chance of success eh!! Take 'er easy!!
