  • I got some computer parts from my brother Steve and built myself a computer but one of the drives isn't working right.
Check this out. I'm going to see if I can activate an NVME M.2 SSD drive on my new PC. It sounds pretty easy, let's see if it is!!
I built this PC around an ASRock z590 motherboard and Intel i9 10900FR 10th Gen processor my brother Steve gave me. I needed more parts so I went on Amazon and ordered the ones I needed. Here are the Amazon affiliate links for those parts if you're interested:
Power Supply: CORSAIR CX650 80 Plus Bronze Non Modular Low-Noise ATX 650 Watt
Power Supply - NA - Black
    Amazon Affiliate Link: amzn.to/3LYiMoQ
Cooler: Thermalright Frozen Prism 360 Black ARGB Liquid CPU Water Cooler with
120mm ARGB PWM Fan,360 Black Cold Row Specification, Computer Water
    Cooler for AMD/AM4/AM5,Intel 1700/1150/1151/1200/20XX
    Amazon Affiliate Link: amzn.to/3YDzvpc
Computer Case: MSI MPG GUNGNIR 120R Premium Mid-Tower PC Gaming Case -
Tempered Glass Side Panel - 4X ARGB 120mm Fan - Liquid Cooling
    Support up to 360mm Radiator
    Amazon Affiliate Link: amzn.to/3SINUMR
SSD Memory: Crucial P3 Plus 500GB PCIe Gen4 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD, up to
    5000MB/s - CT500P3PSSD8
    Amazon Affiliate Link: amzn.to/4fQnSl1
You know building a PC is not that difficult a job. There are lots of videos out there that show you how. So if you are interested jump in. It's good fun and very rewarding.
I did get my NVMe M.2 SSD Drive activated and all is well now.
Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy the video. Please 'thumbs up' me and leave me some comments. And if you haven't done so already, please consider 'subscribing' to my channel. It sure helps my videos get noticed and my channel grow.
I hope you all have a great week.
    We'll talk to yas ...

As a recently joined member of the Grandpa club, I know a Grampie project is ANY project that needs done. Dog sitting so the grandkids and their parents can get a weekend up north, fixing a pool pump cord the dogs chewed up, replacing the brakes on the daughters car so the kidos are safe, buying kid toys at auction instead of lawnmowers, buying a new computer for school so grandkids mom can go back to college and get a better paying job, reinforcing fences so the dogs can’t escape, etc. I glory in doing these jobs.

Mike, I had something similar happen to me. I run old industrial laptops. On one of my old laptops the old analog hard drive was going out. So, I replaced it with an upgraded digital one. After replacing it my laptop would work good except for it kept over heating and shutting down. I looked up on RUclips an answer to my problem i found it. It was a very simple fix.. My laptop was set to maximum power input "which is adjustable in windows 7". I watched a RUclips video which showed me how to turn it down to 90 percent from 100 percent. Which i have done now it is working great without any problems.

How's she goin'? Right on Vicky!! That's the thing about computers, they seem complicated but there is so much helpful info on RUclips. For example most any problem has been experienced and a video made of it's solution. I'm glad you took on the challenge of digging into the laptop and resolving this issue. Many old computers are tossed every day when really they are all still great machines, all they need is some upgrades and some reconfiguring. Thanks a lot for watching and commenting.
