Also kind of amazing that Jack Johnson was still able to write all those songs while playing hockey...
BORING
NO
1. Makar 2. Pettersson 3. Hischier 4.Heiskanen 5. Robertson 6. R. Thomas 7. Suzuki
Grew up playing with him and I remember the first year I made AAA. My dad said that was the one guy on our team who would make it to the nhl
Can always tell who has “it”
Dallas won the 2017 draft with Miro, Oettinger, and Robertson
Ya huge for them
Always tried to emulate my game after Bure. Always the fastest on every team. My hands aren’t that good and I’m not that crafty like him. But I tried.
He is the best hockey player in the world.
Weber was a beast in Montreal😂 this video really should have been “being traded ruined PK Subban”
Zero skills except fighting, and that only if you consider size a skill!
His name will go on the cup when they will it all go jets go
Consider this: Robinson was great but he had a long career to compile his statistics (e.g. his best-ever plus/minus number), but Bobby Orr had a far greater impact on the game and, if he'd had a career as long as the Big Bird's, there would not be any argument about who was the greatest defenseman of all time.
Nuge is miles better than schef
You think??
The Habs wanted Shea Weber so they can get rid of PK Subban.
Fighting in the NHL has gotten a little ridiculous with a nice clean open ice hit causing a fight when it shouldn't be, however in saying that fighting isn't a problem in the game overall and is a nice change every now and then when a good tilt happens for the right reasons. Rempe's issue is that his aggressive style of play is dirty as he raises Elbows even though he's taller then most or hits players on the numbers and that is why Rempe is going to either get suspended often and longer each time until the league just won't sign him to a contract anymore.
8:58 there were only 2 Fleury and DePietro.
I think Kopi coming from Slovenia defintely played a role in him slipping in the draft.
But it doesn't answer the question of why Kopitar wasn't drafted higher. What mistake did scouts and GMs make? What false assumptions were in place?
False Assumption 1: He was not from a country that produced NHL players,; 2 - While he did play in the SHL, he wasn't lighting it up, 3 - He didn't/couldn't play in the WJC, 4 - Every player taken ahead of him was North American in a period where GM's placed a higher premium on the US and Canada.
Thanks for sharing such valuable information! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (mistake turkey blossom warfare blade until bachelor fall squeeze today flee guitar). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
Price won zero. Best goalie to never win shit.
Team sport, neither did Lundquist.
@scorpioonthelow7783 But with Henrik they don't call him the Best goalie in the world. Price was pedestrian at best. Lundquist had some good teams...still couldn't get over the Hump. Lundquist better than Price all day long.
This is one of the all time worst missed picks by the Canucks. Man what could have been....
hard to say as luc bourdon could have been a top pairing d man if he never had that accident
@@bjballin possibly but unfortunately we'll never know.
did Burke say we WERE going to take him or WERENT?
Were not
that was an awesome video, i always wondered what happened to him after the Senators gave up hope i had no idea that he played with half the league before he gave up, and his last game was not nearly as long ago as i thought considering he was drafted way back in 1991
Thanks!
On a redraft, nevermind top 5! Rantanen cracks the *TOP 3*
Can't believe kopitar went that low after playing with a men's pro league
Jack ended up with an ok career but started out as an absolute beast
I would say Anze is the 3rd best in this draft class Crosby is the best then the goat Carey price is second
Also two-time leading playoff scorer.
Worked for his favourite Italian restaurant for around a year delivering food, probably been to his place like 20 times. Cool guy.
Oh sick!
R.I.P. Luc Bourdon..
♥️
All these Montreal fans saying Price had the better career. How many Cups did he win? You just know these people would have a higher opinion of Kopi if he were a Hab (or a Canuck, or a Senator, or...)
Montreal fans are nuts, Kopitar all the way
I remember that draft. The commentators were godsmacked every time he dropped. They could only speculate it was because they knew nothing about Slovenian hockey.
he played in the swedish elite league...so they did not even have to scout him in Slovenia
R.I.P Luc Bourbon
♥️
1. Crosby 2. Price 3. Kopitar
Bobby Ryan and jack johnson both have kinda tragic stories
Crazy stories!
Jack hasn't come out as a bigoted shithead... So far
Carey Price is #2 in my opinion. He was the best goalie in the league for a long time and won a Hart. Kopitar is a close #3. Also RIP Luc Bourdon. He had so much potential and could have been an absolute stud defenseman for the Canucks.
Amazing video to by the way such an underrated Chanel always love watching these draft videos
Thanks so much! Appreciate the support!
Do a video on Quick and how he’s the greatest modern day goalie of all time and how he was actually miles better then Price (quick single handily won them the cup and has multiple cups price has nothing)
I mean, you’re not wrong
No
@ Quick did what price couldn’t ever do lmfao and he did it multiple times and has a conn smythe trophy to go with it all he was and still is quite literally miles better then price and he’s still playing not to mention price was also on a shit load of drugs his entire playoff run
I agree with this person of obvious taste and quality.
I liked when the Oilers made Quick look quite ordinary in the playoffs.
AI content like this is contemptible trash
Not AI thooo
@@beyond_thebench beep bop boop
We fondly refer to him as " The Franchise"
Someone has to be! Haha
8:47 LA * great video tho BTB
Thanks!
Should the Habs drafted Kopitar then draft Quick after?
That’d be the dream haha
UNDERRATED CHANNEL
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Pens fan, Kopitar is absolutely the second best pick in this draft. Total legend and stud, love the guy.
Agree!
Top 3. I put Price higher
Real recognize real
@@GaciMeister No disrespect to Price, he is a fantastic goaltender, but Kopitar was a big part of two Cup-winning teams, and is still productive to this day. Kopitar's consistency, durability and longevity give him the edge over Price
@@entropyredefineddon’t say durability, he had a pain killer addiction.
I still can't believe Sens picked Brain Lee at pick #9
Rough pick lol
Carey price: hold my glove! Seriously, had he been on a better team and avoided the infirmary, he would have gone on a tear. His 2015 stats are not a fluke! The habs were only good because of him, look what happened in 2016 when Price was out.
As a Sens fan,I can't believe it either.
So strong...but ran away fro Brady Tkachuk. 😂😂
😂
future 40 goal scorer? he already did it. but remember everyone, anthony cirelli is a better hockey player
Yes we were saying that teams missed out on a future 40 goal scorer by not drafting him
@@beyond_thebench makes sense
Bobby Orr is easily the greatest defenseman of all time. He's in a class by himself. Following him are Ray Bourque, Doug Harvey, Nicklas Lidstrom, and Eddie Shore in some order. I think there's every discussion to be had about putting those four guys in any order. They're all close. After them, I see Slava Fetisov (though you have to look outside of the NHL to his career behind the Iron Curtain to see why), Red Kelly and Denis Potvin. Then I'd probably round out the top 10 with Big Bird and Chris Chelios in some order. I have no problem saying that Robinson is one of the best defensemen in history. He's top 10 in my book in about 150 years of organized hockey history. But as great as he was, I see absolutely no argument for him at #1. Like I said, I see no case for anyone not named Bobby Orr.
mY favoritr Jets!!
Even We got the sedin NO cup + 2 riot
why is Daigle even in this? He was superior to both of them and did it in Gary's clutch n grab era of shenanigans, one of the very reasons he left the NHL.
Fellow first overall labelled as a “bust”
