Ashlands was a huge change of pace. I played through each biome in vanilla as if they weee standalone expansions. Over 500 hours played before starting ashlands. I really enjoyed mistlands and have built a massive 10 player base and built some very elaborate structures. My skills were all 50 to 75 with the highest being around 90 and the lowest in their 20s. NOW? I am throwing things at my monitor, all my friends stopped playing, I've rebuilt the ashlands base 4+ times AND all my skills are below 20 from deaths.

why didnt youjust raise the ground when stuck in the water.

i soloed the ashlands because my buddies well.. they weren't the best players out there so i pretty much had to do EVERYTHING by my self and yes the dreaded make the boat to the ashlands the back and forth lose the portals and the bodies been there.. but i eventually got everything back and now i have all the gear even that dyrnwyn sword... ALONE .... the foretress i destroyed it and made my base there because the walls can't be broken annnnd it is spiked ... my initial portal was in a broken building but the monsters kept breaking it so i ended up diging into a rock and made it there.. and then i went for the foretress and my god was it awefull i had 4 bodies there so i used the corpse run trick where i'd take one of my bodies and fight with big hp regen and low stamina comsumption for 1 minute everytime i lost the buff i grabbed another one and so on so forth and used bonemass at the same time after the foretress was done the game became MUCH easier

Please do not take this as a dis or anything, but I can't win at this game. Heck I got killed by the third or forth skeleton that attacked me, yes I have no clue what I am doing I have no potions yet, etc etc, but even with weapons the mobs still own me. Yet here you are killing them with fire :( I know I'm bad, but this means I'm even worse then you without weapons :( Now I know I have watched others do things that seem to melt my brain, well done.

I built my Ashlands FOB in a cluster of rock spires just a bit off shore, with a feather cape and a good jump, I can glide over to the beach and you don't have to worry about it being overrun by mobs.

My question is, how in the fuck is a person. meant to solo this place?!

Prior to the Ashlands I had worked up my Stats, especially blocking to help. As a solo player it took three ships double digit deaths and I'v got a base and securing a secondary portal on a spire close by, just in case. After the first 20 deaths it just becomes a fact of life, or death, in the Ashlands. Funny video. 😁

I wasn't planning to watch this whole video. But that's really impressive, that challenge is crazy and your storytelling kept me here for two hours. Congratulations, amazing!
