Beating all Valheim Bosses using REFINED EITR (No Weapon Challenge)

- Ever wondered if that dropping piles of refined eitr on the ground could be used to kill every boss in Valheim without using any weapons? Probably not, but in this video that's exactly what I do, taking down everything from the tutorial boss, Eikthyr, all the way through to the new Mistlands boss, The Queen. As I mention at the end of the video, this is going to be part 1 of a series, with further instalments being more difficult challenges.

Great video, entertaining to say the least. It is a neat concept to use an item to kill a boss
Someone should make a mod that allows to drop a single item from a stack. Put these in slot 8, or whatever, tap 8, and a single spits out. Repeat for full stack.
I've got so used to shift+left click, 1, enter, throw item, repeat x100

I haven't tried it so I don't know if it really works but there is a trick you can do to protect the stone fingers from Yag's beam attack, it is time consuming though. Just raise the ground around them because it is not damageable, I usually create a large mound before I fight him for kiting and I know that works.
Interesting, I assume you'd only have to raise the ground a bit because he should never be aiming up at a really high angle. I might try it out!

wouldn't the exact problem he had with the eitr recombining into a big stack happen because of too many items on the ground?
@@HandyHanderson It works with chickens tho. Also you only realy need 2-4 on ground not 30.

Yeah that definitely would've been a good idea after the eitr started recombining. Before that my logic of dumping everything at that one spot was that there are a few different paths that intersect there so it's easier to lead The Queen and Seekers there. I will try it out though with something else I've been working on.
Did the devs intend for these shinanigans?
So... I should surround my base with Refined Eitr as a defensive measure? Might be better than balistas.

Interesting challenge, personally I'm not a fan of music instead of in game audio + voice over, but also the first thing I do in every game is turn off music, so I may be in the minority. Either way, good job, nice video, keep it up!
That's fair - I think one factor in using music is that when I'm showing something at 300%+ speed, the in-game audio sounds pretty scuffed. I'm working on something similar to this video and I think there will be more scenes shown at real-time speed and for those I'll look at minimising the music and saving it for the sped up sections.
I've only been making videos for less than a month so I'm still learning a lot about what works, and even what I personally like, so I really appreciate hearing what people like and don't like (even if yours may be an unpopular opinion - I really don't know!)
@@BigBrianGameplay I hadn't thought about the sped up side of it. Honestly check out @NickRawcliffe I think he's got a great approach even when he does throw in music it's more about the potential humor than what one would call "good music".

I might be mistaken, but when you were splitting stacks, were you automatically setting it to 1/30 instead of at half? If yes, how?
Nah I wish, I'm shift-clicking then immediately pressing the 1 key to change it to a stack of one.
When I can take my time (so before the battle) I use my left hand to press right shift>num pad 1>enter and while I click and throw the items out at the right time using the mouse. The problem with that is that your left hand is away from WASD, so when I have to split the stacks during the battle I use left shift and the 1 key in the row above the letters. It's a bit slower because you have to click OK instead of pressing enter, but lets you still use WASD.

Yeah I ended up figuring that out for myself when trying to do the same battle but without a shield or armour! Wish I figured it out earlier, but it made the fight more epic I guess haha

You killed the queen faster using just eitr than asmongold could do it using melee weapons.
I know this is ancient by internet standards but out of curiosity, if you had dropped 30 piles of 30 Eitr, rather than 30 piles of 1 Eitr, would they combine?
Not 100% sure, but I don't think so because it seems to recombine them into their largest stack size (so 30). I can't remember how much Eitr weighs but that might limit things too.
To be fair this is not a pacifist challenge more than it is a "I'll dunk you in a pile of radioactive wastes"

didn't realize how tanky the tower shield was.
Me neither, I rarely use them because I love parrying too much.
It's the entire/only point of the tower shield. It works really well if you have a friend using either a pole arm or ground pound hammer.

"work smarter not harder" use a bunch of stacks can't combine if they are max already bring a cart load of stacks after tutorial dear cuz that's when you get access to bronze
not really a chalange if you just spawn the eitr
In the title of the vid it says Pacifist challenge i.e. not fighting, so using a different strategy other than weapons to fight a boss. That is the challenge, finding a different strategy!!! Not sure how you can then say it wasn't really a challenge.

Valheim is a broken meele game with a gamebreaking meele bug that makes you hit and miss when standing next the npc, resulting in dying multiple times only cause of the bug.
Any diffrence of level up/lower then npc make you miss.
Mistlands doesnt have leveled ground so you miss +50% of the times infight.
Valheim has a co-op de-sync so bad you cant play on a decent level, memory leaks and freezes continue to company you and you palls.
Since 2yrs the community is asking for these fixes, but nothing comes except a weakass over hyped mistlands that is a total game/fan killer.
And now the bosses die from green little glowing balls on the ground.
Valheim sucks, its just as simple as that !
While I definitely don't have as negative opinion as you, I do have to say that I couldn't believe it when the mistlands update dropped and they hadn't fixed melee combat on slopes while also centring a new biome around slopes! lol
Odd place to air your grievances. The slope melee thing is annoying, but if you are aware of it, it really isn't that difficult to deal with in most scenarios.
I don't think it's fair at all to say it sucks
