10 Months later and apparently, this got patched in Patch 0.217.28 :( This was my first vid, and watching it is wild. My voice sounds so scuffed in this bc I had a cold for xmas :(
Cheers mate, I think I had under 10 subs when I made that and I remember thinking to myself that no one will ever watch the video, let alone pause to read the text!
It's just meant to be a bit of fun, but I've compiled a non-exhaustive list of reasons when this might be useful: 1. You care about sleep posture 2. You're not host 3. You're playing on console (coming to xbox soon, right?) 4. You broke your F5 key in a fit of rage after getting killed by your own ballista 5. You broke one of the following keys: "d" "e" "b" "u" "g" "m" "o" "d" as in reason 4.
This is awesome! Now all I need is a friend and I can finally get my wooden cart dealership off the ground. Bronze nails are just so hard to get in this economy.
another dupe glitch: 1) Make sure to save your character and world AND you need to host the server 2) Drop the things you want to dupe to your friend 3) Alt+F4 (this wont save your character and world so you will have the things still in your inventory) 4) start the game 5) you should have your things + your friend should also have them (if the game crashes [in this case if we Alf + F4] host's files don't save causing Valheim to use your latest save, but everyone else on the server should just be kicked and they keep their things) I found this glitch when my game crashed after messing around with friend, then figured out how to replicate it
I mean a simple dup items is to have a server either with or without friends load in with the items you want to double drop them and if you are on a pc force restart it with the restart button I found this out on accident when I lost a tonne of silver prob around 120 silver was moving things around when I lost power for 10 seconds and this was just after I logged in so all the silver I had I had even lost some tools and food so I started off with a sad amount to dup so I tried restarting computer from windows didn't work so I press the restart button on then when I logged back into the server bam I had items on the ground and they were still in my inventory so I got my silver back more food then what I had lost and remade the tools as I had no backup since who makes backup of tools other then keep your old tools. great vid very funny though XD
Thanks mate, I appreciate it! Losing silver like that would've been traumatic lol. I've had some weird stuff happen with the game crashing and steam cloud acting up. There are definitely more straightforward ways to dup stuff like that, but I found this one fun - especially since i discovered it just messing around building traps on a bed haha.
While waiting for the mistlands update, me and my friend made a huge army of 2 star wolves and with about 50 of them we raided 2 super close goblin towns. Our wolves died due to Shamans but they shred through the gypsies with ease

@@BigBrianGameplay lmao, best reply ever. Very fair points you've got there, especially for console and if you're not the host, I feel stupid for not coming up with that.
Nah it's not stupid - to be fair when I made the video I didn't really think too much about if it'd be at all useful vs using the spawn command, it's more just to document something I found cool!
If you wanna cheat why go through all that trouble, hit F5 while in game the console will come up. Type Devcommands then Debugmode. You can build for free and spawn. A lot easier.
1. This allows for much better sleep posture than virgin debugmode (this should be enough reason) 2. This should work when you're not host 3. Will console players have access to console at all when it releases for them? (Also don't you need to enable console beforehand via the Properties menu? It's been a long time but I vaguely remember having to do it haha)
@@BigBrianGameplay lol well done good sir. I'm just thinking that this duplicate thing is really no different than hopping on another server to spawn the same materials and bring them in
@@apxika932 True, it's mostly meant just as a bit of fun, rather than something intended to be useful, but possibly for console players if they don't get access to debugmode?
@@Draxis32 this is true, however its much more effective spacewise to use blackmetal chests over regular chests (I think there is however a chance that ironchests are slightly more compactable in terms of storage per 2mx2m, but dont quote me on that)
@@Draxis32 also using the duped blackmetal to make blackmetal bolts is actually extremely viable since the arbalest outclasses the other bowtypes and the bolts are already quite op, amassing carapace bolts by comparison involves alot more risk and time/resource expenditure, so definetly blackmetal bolts are an absolute go-to with this trick if arbalest fits ur playstyle

This is certainly a very "what the hell were you even trying to do?!" -type of glitch to discover, LMAO.
Back support is important
I like the brutal honesty with the first requirement as I do count towards the removal of said duplication glitch.

I was just killing them for fun

i paused it and read the news headlines. great job, hilarious

If you really hate debug , you can also just copy your backed up charater, dupe any item
