Not joking, a few days ago I went to a Leviathan, turns out it were two inside of each other, and then next to that, two other Leviathans. I'm not sure if they have designated spawns but 4 in one go can't be normal 😂
4:36 Wow...Until now, I never thought that all these stats from games I've looked into for years, probably never took into account the spawn rates to drop rates in order to find the ACTUAL rarity percentage.
2:30 about Tetra fish, with that seed generator if you are interested in checking it out by randomizing seeds, there is a chance that the whole world doesn't even possess the cave or a lake with her nor maypole.
I’m sorry… I’ve been playing Valheim for over 600+ hours and have never once experienced a Boss Dream, Moder’s is probably my favourite out of all of them reading them though, super cool detail to the Dream mechanic
Great video as always! I never knew the wraith had a trophy its basically the whole creature lol I need to get one of those for a halloween lawn ornament!
its a dope trophy too! One of the best looking once. With the low drop rate of the wraith combined with the fact they only spawn at night they're super rare!
I was sailing towards Moder in my current playthrough, and while passing the island before the one to fight Moder, I spotted the Yagluth vegisir. Was really nice considering Moder locations are apparently only off in far reaches on the seed.
I usually find yagluth spawns before the vegisir. Had him on a tiny island once that the altar pretty much took up. Went searching elsewhere for one more spacious to fight in. 😅
a thing to note about the starred enemy section, there is actually a calculatable chance of spawn with body piles and greydwarf nests. the rarest things to come out of these spawners are greydwarf brutes or dragur elites with 2 stars. the chance of either of these guys popping out i think is 0.0014% (14% x 1%). but from what ive seen, 2 star trolls and dragur elites are the rarest with i think dragur elites being rarer (edit: yeah they do have a higher chance on spawners so either natural dragur elites or trolls are the rarest)
Came here to say i finally found #8 the frozen lake! Frost Cave just kept going down and this huge room opened up. it was really a surprise to find after so many years of playing.
I have harder time finding fenring than wraith. With wraith, you can mark where you see them and visit that area at night for more than one encounter. For fenring, first the mountain is hard to traverse to seek them and then even if you mark fenring spawn it will only spawn one per night on that location. However, while we only need one fenring trophy, wraith's chains is very useful for eq and decorations alike...
As someone with with more than a thousand hours in terraria, looking for rare Itens in valheim is quite fun and made me see this game as some kind of 3D terraria lol
@@SpazzyjonesGaming Please do! The boss-fighting-driven gameplay, variety of weapons, and overall freedom make the gameplay loop of both Terraria and Valheim feel very similar.
Started playing Valheim again some weeks back and found just such a lake in a frost cave, so I can confirm it to be a thing. It happened to also be in a mountain situated on the very spawn island so that's twice the luck. I didn't even know what to make of it myself until another player commented that the tetra fish I found swimming there are rare.
@@SpazzyjonesGaming Seems like it! Thanks for sharing some interesting findings. I'll admit not looking through too much because I have only been up to mistlands long ago and want to keep myself as "spoiler" free as possible.
I think I've seen the 2:30 #8 Big-Unfrozen "lake". Although I think it wasn't as large as the frozen example in the video, it was way larger then the regular version and Fish where regularly 'stranded', ready to pick up!
I got so lucky in my biome, there are 2 leviathans within sight of eachother (so I left them alone because that's neat) along with an unsinkable leviathan that didn't drop down after I harvested all the chitin off it. Really lucky.
me: played for 250 in game days, met one 2 star troll, 3 leviathans, randomly found the highest quality of tuna lying on a rock and has mulriple cultist, rancid remain, and drauger elite trophies lying around😂
the first fish I got was a quality 5 one before I even got the fishing rod. I was walking around shore when I noticed a fish stuck on land and grabbed it. I put it in a chest somewhere and days later came back to it because I was playing around with item frames and wanted to check wich items could be put on them when I noticed the fish was just huge and quality 5. Nice thing for a first playtrough
Loved the video! The Pointy Hat is another cool seasonal item only craftable around Halloween time. For trophies the Charred Warlock was rough to get, think wiki said it was 5% chance?
Reminds me of when I looked in the wiki about the Morgen spawn rate saying they are a VERY RARE spawn on the surface and immediately after closing the tab two spawned right in front of us
I have an old world where, in at least two caves, tetra fish are not born in caves, but in the snow directly above the cave. I haven't seen this in newer worlds.
They used to be more common under the initial roadmap but they seem to have tuned down encounters chances. I couldnt tell when it happened but i remember my first playthrough...Had the Abyssal Razor and Harpoon at the Black Forest stade.
@christopherbelanger4220 I think they are common enough at present. Admittedly, I tend to solo play, so doesn't take too long until there is no more use for the material.
Very interesting video! Even after 1000 hours in Valheim, I found something new for myself. For example, I have never seen a Wraith trophy until this very moment :)
the rarest thing I've seen is, in the world I'm playing right now there is a sealed tower spawn that overlapped with a tar pit spawn leading to the sealed tower not spawning(or being destroyed IDK)
They need to make more of the really rare stuff like the dyrnwyn and fishing hat and odin gear doesnt have to be practical its just cool to have really rare things in the game
Easier way to get serpent scales without the hassle of harpooning - Get it low on health and then melee it to finish it off. You can jump into the water swinging or stand on its head.
Leviathan's are only 1% chance to spawn? Damn... I've had times I've run into 2x... Even 3x Leviathans in one spot! I've found turnips seeds way more than I've found onion seeds haha. I've seen Thor and Odin both a good amount of times. Even tried chasing Thor down one time. I was messing around with devcommands late game, had a storm happen and saw that in the sky. Flew as fast as I could after it and got super close.
when the first time they added tetra fish, most worlds don't have it and those that have would only have 1-2 tetrafish cave. They updated it now and it is more likely that a world have at least a few tetra caves... It is still below 10 tho, according to valheim map...
0:22 I saw 3 once all within swimming distance of each other and then another spawned a few bow rows away. Had to clip it cause I’m sure that’ll probably never happen again.
I had to go thru 5 big swamps before finding any turnip seeds, Basically killed enough abomination for entire Root armor with all upgrades while i was looking for turnips. But on the other hand i found 2 leviatans right next to each other, i also find atleast one on every longer ship trip.
Wait, if Thor only appears after Modor? Does that mean Modor was stopping him from flying about? Or perhaps... Odin became really interested in your journey after you defeated the Elder, but Thor needed a bit more convincing, so after Modor is dead, you catch his eye, so he now flies past you, to root you on, and Celebrate Modor's death. That would be so cool. -sincerely Uel
I was traveling around the ocean for hours trying to find the merchant and 2 Leviathans were just chillin like 10 ft apart. It was my lucky day with that find lol
found yagaluths spawn while looking for the trader very early on in my most recent playthrough lmao, also this world is insane. I have 2 bonemasses in the same exact swamp right next to each other. Can easily spawn 2.
That's pretty neat, other than Eikthyr being clustered due to land size, I usually only find them distributed. Roughly 1 per third of the map. . . RNG or a glitch worked for you there. Imagine how long it would have taken if you failed the other way. 😂
Recently I've started a new map and apparently draugr villages and shipwrecks are way more frequent than it used to in another map I had. Also star enemies are more often. Would it be my seed or an update on the map generation?
mmhmm im not aware of draugr villages or shipwrecks frequency being increased. You do get more starred enemies if you increase the difficulty so that could explain that one
@@SpazzyjonesGaming This new world I actually have the 'keep equiped items' on (lowest difficulty for death penalty) and less frequent raids, but everything else is default. Weird, isn't it?
Am i stupid or did they remove the tetra pond from the map generator link? I've been hunting for 20 actual hours and haven't found them, and the map thing doesn't seem to show them.
leviathons are fairly common compared to potential spawn area size, i wouldn't say theyre rare, since you can expect to encounter at least one when sailing any decent distance. More-so uncommon
Ghalls also have a 1 and 2 star variety. In my couple thousand hours I've only ever seen one 2 star ghall, and 2 one star ghalls. 2 star trolls I've seen a lot more often.
Just started to play again and im having a blast. Kinda playing it blind again. I made a base between 5 big stones next to the ocean and one next to a swamp on a tiny but very high island and there are constantly fish appearing on the landing points on both bases.I made a artifical tiny shores so I can park my ship there and now im finding some pikes there every few days. Already have a few lvl 3 and 4 and lots of 1 and 2. but no way to cook them yet since im wasting my time building neat little outposts here and there lol.
If the draugr elit trophy is rare, then how about the Iron Sledgehammer which is crafted from it? Which is crazy, because it's like, one of few things crafted from trophies. I bet some people have never even HEARD of the iron sledgehammer. -sincerely Uel
I found a mod that increases the chances of serpents spawning. Haven't used it yet but thought it would be good since serpent stew remains a top tier food item even in the Mistlands. Unfortunately, there aren't many uses for the serpent scales. In fact, the only use is the shield. I find this incredibly stupid tbh. IMO the ocean itself should be considered one of the biomes. It should get a boss, an armor set, etc. Serpent scales and barnacles can be the "metal" of the biome. The armor could be the Abyssal armor set. This set would reduce stam drain while in water and prevents the "wet" effect; making it not only the perfect ocean set but also a great set for the Swamp as well. There could be sea dungeons that are old shipwrecks. And the boss, of course, would be the Kraken! (Which comes from Norse mythology). The only problem I see with the Ocean become a biome with a boss is that players have to sail through the ocean in order to go between continents. If the ocean was suddenly upgraded with tougher enemies than this trip would become more dangerous. A few solutions could be that the Ocean, as a biome, is squeezed between the black forest and swamp in difficulty. Or the biome could scale with the player- the common enemies could get stronger as the player progresses with the boss being locked until the boss of the Deep North is defeated. Alternatively to that, the whole biome could change once the Deep North boss is defeated. Idk if the Ocean will get a boss but I'd like to see this as a mod.

Not joking, a few days ago I went to a Leviathan, turns out it were two inside of each other, and then next to that, two other Leviathans. I'm not sure if they have designated spawns but 4 in one go can't be normal 😂
The most I've seen on my screen at once is 3 I think. Never 4! Especially on top of each other like that

Great video as always! I never knew the wraith had a trophy its basically the whole creature lol I need to get one of those for a halloween lawn ornament!
its a dope trophy too! One of the best looking once. With the low drop rate of the wraith combined with the fact they only spawn at night they're super rare!

@@nelsonhemstreet3568 great call
I was sailing towards Moder in my current playthrough, and while passing the island before the one to fight Moder, I spotted the Yagluth vegisir. Was really nice considering Moder locations are apparently only off in far reaches on the seed.
I usually find yagluth spawns before the vegisir. Had him on a tiny island once that the altar pretty much took up. Went searching elsewhere for one more spacious to fight in. 😅
lucky. he is hard to find
a thing to note about the starred enemy section, there is actually a calculatable chance of spawn with body piles and greydwarf nests. the rarest things to come out of these spawners are greydwarf brutes or dragur elites with 2 stars. the chance of either of these guys popping out i think is 0.0014% (14% x 1%). but from what ive seen, 2 star trolls and dragur elites are the rarest with i think dragur elites being rarer (edit: yeah they do have a higher chance on spawners so either natural dragur elites or trolls are the rarest)
2 star trolls and draugr elites are definitely rare. I believe starred creatures have a higher spawn rate from spawners too
Came here to say i finally found #8 the frozen lake! Frost Cave just kept going down and this huge room opened up. it was really a surprise to find after so many years of playing.
nice! very rare! congrats
Fenring trophy is the by far the most rare.
I was on my 2nd Valheim play through when I got my first Fenring trophy drop. Didn't even realize I had never gotten one before that.
Yeah thats a good one. low spawn rate plus fenring only spawn at night
What about Wraith trophy? I got that in my fifth time finishing the game and that's so cool
@@srt7008 wraith is mega rare and a super cool one
I have harder time finding fenring than wraith. With wraith, you can mark where you see them and visit that area at night for more than one encounter. For fenring, first the mountain is hard to traverse to seek them and then even if you mark fenring spawn it will only spawn one per night on that location. However, while we only need one fenring trophy, wraith's chains is very useful for eq and decorations alike...
I've literally come across 4 or 5 Leviathan all sitting together like it was a town meeting. Must be ultra rare.
I can't argue with anyone about their rarity anymore
the map tool trivializes the rarity of all of these lol
I agree. I wouldn't use it other than for demonstration purposes in the video

I have found 3 Leviathans right next to each other and although finding them is fairly rare... when I do, they're usually in groups of 2.
Yeah its weird. They're rare but when found it often seems to be in groups

I'm glad you found something new! its hard to introduce things to players so many years after the games launch
the rarest thing I've seen is, in the world I'm playing right now there is a sealed tower spawn that overlapped with a tar pit spawn leading to the sealed tower not spawning(or being destroyed IDK)

-sincerely Uel

very good point!
I totally agree. I hope before 1.0 release they choose to expand the oceans biome
My first ever 5rated fish was the Angler fish. It seems that one is alot more common to find than any other 5rated fish.
