    Springting everywhere is no issue except in the Mistlands where you can not see the enemy. All other cases just have situational awareness and you are fine.
    Terraforming used to be a massive issue, which is why people still think of it today. Before they patched it there was a memory leak that related to terraforming where the game would constantly remember what the land was like and what you did to it, and it would constantly cycle this every time and add onto it already doing this. Thus that regions memory files became massively cluttered and laggy.
    Also the randomness of the world gen is part of the fun. If you know what the world looks like then exploration isn't really that interesting.

We used that technique whenever we were exploring, take some wood and the materials for a portal with your boat. Find a nice place to set up, deconstruct the boat, make a hut, some chests and a portal so you can easily get back to base for repairs. If you sprint to half way empty, then let it regen before doing it again, you will be sprinting for the same amount of time as if you sprint to empty before you let your stamina regen because it will take longer before it's full. That way you still move quickly but you never run into anything with less than half stamina (this is true for nearly every game with a sprint/stamina feature).

  • @NomadUniverse
    @NomadUniverse 6 месяцев назад +3

    I feather sprint, short bursts of sprinting, regenning a little in between, always keeping enough to swing a sword or jump if I need to. Faster than not sprinting while managing stamina. I think the worst habit BY FAR is that people are waaaay to reliant on their (cross)bows. I saw tons of people who are afraid of melee combat. And because they were afraid of melee combat from the beginning, never learned how to do it.
    Just two days ago, i saw people fighting Yagluth and it took them an hour to bring him down to half HP, because all they were doing was running in a circle and shoot an arrow at him every now and then.
    I saw that so many times.

      That enables my friend, who plays a light build, to deal an insane amount of damage, without ever taking a single hit.

    Regarding #2, running in a biome also can generate noise, particularly in the dark forest. Pray aggro if you’re not careful.
    #3 just is silly to me. If you’re loading items into a furnace, kiln, whatever, you’re talking about a second or two of time. It’s barely going to impact anything in your gameplay. If you’re desperate for seconds in the game, I question what you’re doing lol. Personally, I prefer to not aggravate my developing arthritis as a gamer.
    #6, good advice, however, I would add that you wanna make sure you break your boat down in shallow water. The metal components will sink to the bottom and if it’s too deep? Yeah you won’t get those back.

    There are 2 essential mods that make Valheim much more enjoyable: AllTheBases (or equivalent) allows you to tweak many values but the most useful is stamina. Small changes in stamina consumption and regeneration make a huge difference in playability. Teleport Everything (or equivalent) affords the ability to transport ores (and other metallic precursors) through teleports. The dev's seem hellbent on forcing players to either A) Create entire mini bases (kiln/smelter/forge) or B) setup wagon/boat supply routes. Both of which are needlessly grindy.

    • @SpazzyjonesGaming

      This is what I do somewhat. I prefer to have a portal hub away from everything as I find that portals cause more lag than a lot of things. I have only 2 portals in my main base, the main one linking to the hub, as well as my emergency/nameless portal right next to my storage and crafting tables so I can dip from a boss fight or resource gathering to quickly repair things or drop off stuff.
      The only issue with multiple bases is the pain in transporting ores/metals and other non-teleportable objects to and from bases potentially far apart (unless you play with ore teleporting on, but I’ve found I enjoy the strategy and challenge of managing/transporting ores and other non-teleportable objects like Hildir chests without portals.
