Perhaps it's worth a moment to check out Revolution's 35th anniversary weekend we celebrated last month. During this weekend, 4 different soundtracks, and a combination of different historic projections used in Revolution, temporarily played in the ride again. It might be cool for checking out the history of Chaos' sister coaster :) Not to mention that, in the winter of 2023-2024, Revolution got a massive overhaul, focusing especially on bringing the theming back to it's original glory, and maintaining the coaster cart. Because of this, Revolution is here to stay for many years to come! (There's even some references to CHAOS now)

Holy crap. It sounds like this guy's drunk or has a mouth full of something. I can't understand half of what he's saying. And he pronounces everything wrong. Wah-bush? I'm surpirsed you did not mention the ABB Stromberg electical system that produce what bobbejaanland calls the "revolution start sound".

Just think, if there didn't have to be another mall because Nashville said so, this theme park would be HUGE by now! I think they messed up big time!

I wonder if any of these could have LIM/LSM conversions done to them. Though I imagine the engineering costs would be too high to justify considering these are widely considered to be dated and unexciting designs by modern standards.

for people who want to do this attraction again, it still exists, 100% the same copy of the one in Opryland, this is possible, there is an amusement park in Belgium called Bobjaanland that still has this attraction. called Revelation there, look it up, on RUclips if you want to relive memories is always fun, have a nice day 🫡

Guys, Bobbejaanland just remasterd the original, "Revolution". It's just as amazing now as it was in 1989. Whenever you come to Belgium, pay it a visit!

I think when it came out having a coaster at all was a big deal, later on it wasn't as big a deal, therefore a straight bit of track with one loop, just doesn't leave lots to the imagination and I imagine they had relatively low attendance / didn't attract people to the park like they once did. Compared to newer coasters.

Bobbejaanland is renovating the Revolution coaster and they have included little references to Chaos in the new theming

Riding Viper at Six Flags Great Adventure only once. It was a really odd experience. This is a model of roller coaster that COULD be brought back if the layout has much smoother transitions. It's the same with suspended roller coasters. They should be brought back as well but welp... ~gestures~ No one is paying me to design them.

I worked on chaos in 91 - 94. I miss this place so mush. what happened to the screen I was told someone drop they cup of soda on it. then that kill it. they could not replace it because it cost too much.

This was just an even jankier version of the Togo Ultra Twister, which had already been around for ages, there was even one in the US in '86. It is funmy hearing him tall about an immelmann before they existed though but also very stupid hearing him say you can't do them with normal track...

As I recall, we thought this thrill ride was very overrated.

The best part was that it was air conditioned & that was much appreciated when we went in July. The worst part was that it was air conditioned & you would freeze to death if you just came soaked from a water ride!

I had the luxury of ride both models; as an enthusiast I think it was a fine ride. Intensity is not my first objective I'm more of a historian than a thrill seeker and enjoy unique experiences experiences. Any park could have bought it and inserted their own IP. It's all all weather ride, that seats many people, re-ridable and attractive to the overall park guest that could be returned at a moments notice if a park marketed and cared enough to do so. Thanks for the video it is a ride worth remembering.

I think they supposedly towards the end did some upgrades made some of the projections 3d and upgraded the name to Total Chaos. But that would have been in the 90s when we went.

i loved this coaster , tho they quit giving out the glasses after the first season, than eventually the effects were gone and the ride was no longer dark and more or less a spiral, you would see tons of glasses laying at the bottom

there's another Chaos across the ocean in Europe, it has mostly the same features as Chaos did it's first year.
