Do you guys remember waiting in line to get on the coaster? You would hear a woman come across the speakers and say "Please move quickly through the station. Your time is running out. Each car accomodates two riders". Such awesome memories from there. I wish they would bring it back.

GREAT footage! I loved this coaster. It seemed like all the features (Screens, music, and so on) was only 100% that first year of operation. Seemed like every year after that, something wasn't working (the glass/fire screens, the big central screen, the music). At one point near the end none of the central chamber's screens were working and they just had decorations and stuff hanging in there. I'd think, "Maybe next year all the stuff will be working." I think mentally I'm still waiting, heh.

Oh, so THAT’S what happened! We went when it was a new ride and I rode it and it was so cool. The next year we went I couldn’t wait to go on it and see all that again, but it was just pitch black in there. I was so confused and disappointed. This explains it.

i was fortunate to ride chaos the last year they had it. it was in the summer in the nashville heat, but once you got the 3D glasses on and the ride started, all you felt was this cool breeze as you went round and round the perimeter of the building inside. i remember it was like staring down a bottomless pit with crazy images projected on screens. i was amazed

That would be in Belgiums Bobbejaanland. They’ve recently decided to invest a huge amount to ensure it’s existence the next few decades 👍🏼
Well worth the investment I’d say. Awesome ride!

The best part was that it was air conditioned & that was much appreciated when we went in July.
The worst part was that it was air conditioned & you would freeze to death if you just came soaked from a water ride!

I remember visiting opryland a few summers when I was a kid. From Louisiana, my grandparents use to take us when we would visit them in Alabama. My favorite ride was chaos before that..Wabash cannonball rollercoaster. I was sad to learn the park closed.

for all that’s wondering why the ride and the park was closed down…here’s the answer. it’s what i’ve heard. ….they did want to try and get new rides. HOWEVER, the park was on a island and didn’t give a whole lot of room to do so. and with the plan for opry mills…they couldn’t manage the hotel, the mall, the steamboat, and the park all at the same time. so it was either cancel the plan for opry mills, or close something. the hangman is owned by another park, pieces of the grizzly river rampage is used by a different ride. you can still see buildings from opryland. they didn’t tear them down.

I think they supposedly towards the end did some upgrades made some of the projections 3d and upgraded the name to Total Chaos. But that would have been in the 90s when we went.
