    Well explained.
I'm a controls electrician at a park, I'm usually the one getting people off the ride in manual mode during situations like this.
Id like to add though with all due respect, 95% of downtime is electrical. Contrary to popular belief, it's not very often we get an actual mechanical issue.
By the way you were correct, both of those videos, the lift was being jogged in maint mode.

Yeah, I'm Not suprised, and talking with ride operators they do tell me that MOST downtime is brief and very short, not requiring heavy work. What you say checks out for sure. I apologize if I was not clear enough or implied that mechanical problems were more common than they actually were. Thanks for the feedback!!!

@@CoasterKey no need for apologies, I'm pretty impressed with the knowledge you have in the video.
It's nice to see a video that focuses on how a ride works, when it's running and not running 👍🏻

Question, so say a coaster doesn't get enough momentum for a loop or hill, and does a rollback into a part of the coaster without any lift hill or more advanced track, to the point it just kind of rocks forward and back until it eventually stops. Obviously they get the people off the coaster, but how do they get the coasters to move forward enough to finish the cycle and get back into the station? Is there like pulley they hook to the coaster to pull it where it needs to go?

@@linkLoverAG I've actually had this happen to me a few times
We get the people off, then tie off the train to the track and remove the upstop wheels. Then we remove each hitch one at a time and crane off each car.
We re-assemble the train usually back on the transfer track and it's good to go. Usually takes between 12-18 hours depending on the location and train style
