I’ve been using fresh milled flour n all of my bakes for nearly a year now, and I’ve only just had the courage to mix different grains together to get a different flavour/consistency. I’ve started an at home cottage bakery after speaking with the local authority and being given the ok….and then a week later I was told by the local authority that it needs to be long fermented. So now I have to jump into sourdough when I’ve never got it to work for me before 😓

Those candleholders are amazing!!! I actually like the look of the burned wick better than the unburned ones on the tree. 🕯️ They were absolutely worth the 3 year wait. (Can you imagine someone actually lighting them on a real tree!? 😳) Oh goodness - that hutch would be amazing!!! A true workstation! I love that you set the newspaper under the tree. Very nice video! I am new to baking, inspired by the desire to make my own freshly-milled whole-wheat sourdough. I've never tried a mixer, but get best results with one-hour autolyze and 3 stretch-and-folds. Results have not been as good for me with additional hand kneading.

Honest question: What about midwives and doulas? They are workers as well. Are they sinning for not caring for their families? I find it hypocritical that homemakers are against women working but rely on female midwives and doulas to deliver their babies. I know homemaking is important. Sorry for coming off as harsh but there have been women working in the bible such as Lydia for example.

I have watched many videos, so I hope I'm not asking something that you have talked about, but do you ever use Einkorn flour? If so, what are your thoughts? I have also been interested in sprouted wheat flour. So far, I am a complete failure eat sour dough, so Is am trying to find a healthier version of yeast bread. It is important to note that the word "helper" is the same Hebrew word that is used to describe God. God our Helper. So, we aren't simply there to pick up after the husband or do their dirty laundry, but we are also a helper in a much more profound way. We "help" the man to realize things he wouldn't have realized on his own. That is the meaning behind helper. Woman is made for man because he cannot stand on his own. this is not to say that woman is above man or better than man, but we were created to have a very different role. Also, being your husbands helpmate doesn't mean you can't have your own projects. in Proverbs, wives made things and sold them for an income. were wives the breadmaker? No, but their sole purpose was not just about their husband either. But by all means, yes, we are our husband's helper. 👍

How fun is that?! I made soy candles once and loved it. Some of them turned out great and some of them when I burned them,the wax tunneled down by the wick. I was afraid to give them as gifts because I didn't know which ones would end up doing that. I would welcome input on how to keep that from happening if anyone knows.

YOur tree is so lovely! It reminds me of our tree; packed with ornaments that are all 'special' in one way or another. No 'aesthetic' decorations for me LOL. I love the candles & clips. I also love the Farm & Fireside. I buy these types of publications whenever I find them at antique stores. The reading is so interesting! They used much richer vocabulary back then, when this would be the main form of entertainment & brain exercise. I love the ads, too. The ads back then were so detailed & lengthy, prime reading material all on their own!

Yeah but it is easier when you are young and don't have flabby arms and a fat gut. Every woman knows what style fits her particular body type, and trying to wear the things you are showing just doesn't work for some body types. It is so discouraging trying to find dresses.
