I used to wear super tight jeans or compression biker shorts and revealing shirts. I started wearing dresses everyday a few months ago and my heart has completely changed! I used to dress for attention but had zero confidence. Now that I wear dresses, I don’t have to worry about how my lady parts look because my dresses are flowy and don’t show anything. I have so much more confidence and actually feel beautiful!
I intentionally started wearing skirts and dresses over the last few years and I feel so pretty and feminine and I noticed I carry myself differently.. I actually feel more confident in dresses and skirts
I'm learning to wear more dresses as well just starmy journey a few months ago...I do feel ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL GORGEOUS lovely comfortable.. Blessings lady
I walk around my neighborhood with my sister, wearing our dresses and skirts, and quite often men greet us with “morning, ladies” or something similar. Always makes me happy. 🥰 Also, I think it’s made a difference in my overly casual church, since my family always wears “Sunday best”. We’ve noticed a difference over the years. Just thought I’d put that out there-you never know how much of an influence consistency can have for even a group of people. ☺️
I love this and it's so true, we never know who is paying attention and encouraged by what you wear! Love your testimony with this, thank you for sharing!!
I find that wearing a dress out in public men will hold the door for me and women are friendlier. I tend to notice other women wearing dresses they look nice. Where I live most women don’t dress feminine.
I have noticed the same thing. I am a little overweight and men treat me with such respect and open doors for me when I am in a skirt or dress. I agree on noticing other ladies dressed in dresses as well. ❤😊
Over the last couple years I've come to mostly wearing dresses. I'm a mom and serve in children's ministry, so there are times when I'm on the floor playing. I always wear cotton biker shorts under my dresses just in case. Wanted to throw this out there for anyone who may be worried about wearing dresses and accidently moving/not sitting in a lady like way 😂 it sounds silly, but it's really helped me make the switch
I love when you share on this topic. Due to you sharing it’s given me the confidence to wear dresses. I didn’t have any! My husband loves it. I now have 2 T-shirt dresses from Pact (these are my favorites), one 100% cotton T-shirt dress from Walmart (I don’t usually shop there but saw all these cotton dresses there one day. I have a cotton gauze style dress from Quince.
This is interesting! I grew up wearing dresses so it never felt like I couldnt operate to do things. I rode bike, did flips on the swingset, climbed mountains, abd crossed fences. The worst thing that happened was I was trying to cross a fence to look for morels in the spring time. The road was right in front of me and someone was coming,so I tried to hurry really fast, but alas, my skirt got hung up on the fence post and there I was! I did manage to get free ,I hope before they saw me. So I am living proof that life can be done in dresses!
I love this! Thanks so much for sharing your testimony, this is a comment that comes up often, but I don't feel I can really speak into it because I've never lived the dress wearing farm life! So this is helpful for you to share on!
I have a feeling that more people than not, when seeing you in a dress, we’re thinking how nice you looked. They probably didn’t even understand why lol. Your joy and confidence will also show through and people again will pick up on that. I hope you have a wonderful day! God Bless you Kelli.
Yes, I think that is so true and how much joy & smiling radiates femininity no matter the clothes are being worn!! I hope you have a great day too and that your garden is doing well!
Kelli! I have watching your videos about feminine dressing over and over for the last few months. Thank you for speaking so much about this concept, and I hope you have Margot on the channel again soon!!
Kellie my older friend also gave me the same book “Color me beautiful”, I’m a Black winter❄️ and I’m starting my journey💖Love from Sunny California 💕🌞Liza
I have also been on a journey, and I don’t own a single pair of jeans! Two winters ago I did the Wool& 100 day dress challenge. Only the people I told knew I was doing it! Expensive dress but it was fun!
Been on the same journey now for 2 years and I'm loving it!! ❤️ 👗 I feel so good in dresses now. Ive also had to learn how to wear dresses. Thanks girl!
I have another gal I follow on RUclips & she did a video on women being modest & feminine & many men in the chat responded saying how much they prefer it when a women dress modest & feminine. They like the way it looks & adds beauty to them.
Love this concept - and I love that you acknowledge that this is not a concept of 'modesty' or 'you can only be feminine in dresses' - it is simply 'I want to wear more dresses, because it makes me feel good'. ☺ It is actually interesting that the simple act of putting on a dress can cause people to judge you. (not everyone of course, but a decent amount of people) And it is a good example of how society seems to view femininity as something weak and less worthy of respect. (I am not a feminist, just a disclaimer) The "who do you think you are" is too real. I think in many ways that women are being 'cut off' from their femininity, and encouraged to be less feminine to be taken seriously. Not necessarily out of evil or hatred, but because it is seen as something inferior. I always wanted to wear more dresses, but working in economics, I am worried about how people would react. I don't have costumer contact, or a dress code, but they are only used to seeing me in dresses/skirts in summer if it is very warm weather. But as soon as fall/winter sets in, people would look at me strangely. I also believe Denmark is currently in the dark ages of fashion, where everything is black, ridiculously skimpy or in a masculine style. So I currently would not be able to wear dresses every day. I am considering doing my own 'ode to Mean Girls' and wear a dress every Wednesday (though not in pink). 😅 And every weekend, so I get more used to being in a dress, learn how to style them better, but without co-workers catching on too much, at the start at least. Then I can start sneaking in dresses more and more over the week. 🤫
Thank you for this video! I started working at a machine shop about a year ago and since then I feel like my femininity has flown out the window. I long for the day I can be home and am able to wear flowing dresses and skirts and tend to my family and house. That’s the goal that my boyfriend and I are aiming for. In the meantime I’ll just have to strive to wear shirts made for women in feminine colors to remind myself that I can still feel like a woman lol.
I've ordered a lot of nice dresses and skirts from April Cornell. They're well made, feminine, modest and even a reasonable price, particularly in the sale section.
This may be a bit TMI but how do you wear dresses in the garden? I honestly would love that but we have so many ticks and chiggers….i start feeling itchy just thinking about “ chiggers in my neighborhood “ as an older lady said to me. 😅 I love dresses and I’m trying to change to them more. I’m 75 years old. Lots of things are too young for me. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and life with us.
I wear long skirts n dresses in the garden mainly material that's flowery like rayon but not rayon...I also wear knee high rain boots in garden even in summer....I have a few just for garden
I second wearing tall rain boots. I also find that I get less ticks when I wear dresses than jeans or leggings. It almost seems like they like tight spaces to hang out!
I love dressed but my cat does also! As I walk around, she hangs from them. Lol because of that I don’t normally wear them around the house so that I don’t have to keep rebuying them. I love Faith based t-shirts and often wear them with skirts. 🥰
I love wearing dresses. Since having issues from C it is difficult to dress in pants as ive lost feeling in my feet and now my legs . ive decided to do dresses this winter also for the easiness of dressing. Need to get some long sleeve t shirts for warmth (live in Maine)
I wear dresses and skirts every day and I've had this same problem, especially when I want to take my dog for a walk without getting blisters. I have since discovered Thursday Boots, the Captain model. They're really comfy and have an elegant, Anne of Green Gables look to them. They're my default footwear from October to March.
I wear cute colored Keds or sandals in the summer & I have different cool boots for winter - like some riding boots, some cool lace up ones. these go especially well with leggings & some chunky wool socks during our cold NY winters, under dresses.
Hi, I don't think it's a problem to continue to share about values and the why for doing them- especially when its counter cultural. Dave Ramsey basically says the same thing every podcast, yet it continues to encourage many. The popular culture is constantly pushing degenerate values through media (ESPECIALLY on young people), so I will continue to share and give testimony to a different way of living.
According to Exodus 28:42-43 the High Priest wore Linen Breeches. Hebrews 4:14 Jesus is the Great High Priest (Eternal High Priest). Hebrews 5:10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisidec. Therefore he wore Linen Breeches. Yeshua Jesus was not a cross-dresser Deut. 22:15.
I've taught both of my daughters this life lesson that I have learned. People in this country tend to be so self-absorbed that they are NEVER thinking about you, they are most likely focused on themselves. And if YOU are worrying about what THEY are saying/thinking about YOU, then you are guilty of the same behavior - self absorption. Sad, but true. My husband has a saying; "it is none of my business what you think about me". I pretty much only wear dresses & have done so off & on over the years. I prefer dresses/skirts & can accomplish everything (gardening, farming, housework, etc) with them on. Unfortunately, even though my husband tolerates me wearing dresses, he prefers me in jeans. I just don't find pants physically comfortable anymore. I have had 2 c-sections & can't stand anything constricting me around the middle. I just feel more free & ladylike in a dress.
Agreed!!!!!!!!! Feel more free n ladylike I have more desire to accomplish my tasks don't know I just do I'm thankful 🙏🏽 for everything .. my body is not hanging out my dresses I'm respectful of myself.. Blessings to you always keep wearing dresses 😊❤
I'd love to hear your (and others') input on wearing skirts while homesteading. Even walking out to tend my garden results in all kinds of bugs (spiders, beetles, etc) attaching themselves all over & under my skirts & ending up in the house, not to mention skirts getting caught on fence wire, etc. How do people who tend animals & use farm equipment manage in skirts? I am having a challenge with skirts. PS: Love your channel - you are a very inspirational young woman (coming from a 70+ lady)!!!!!
Thank you so much, that's so kind! I can't speak to the farm living side of things. But as far as the garden, I wear tshirt style dresses in the garden, and often have biker shorts from Pact under neath which is helpful. But other times, that's when I'm happy to wear shorts or pants in the garden as well depending on what I'm doing!
I run a small farm & garden. I tend chickens, hogs, turkeys, walk my dog through the woods, garden, run tractors, work in our barn all while wearing skirts/dresses. I just have 'work' dresses that I don't care what happens to them. I pretty much only buy things thrifted or on huge clearance. If a $2 dress gets ripped...oh well. I make quite the site in my dress, barn boots & big floppy hat, but everyone is always telling me how cute I am. Don't know how cute a 43 yo lady can be, but I guess I must make an impression LOL
I live on a hobby farm/homestead; chickens, cattle, hogs, dogs, honey bees and a garden. I do all my work in skirts and dresses. I prefer denim skirts, not flowy, when working. I wear my rubber boots or Crocs type shoes, and never have a problem. I also make sure my skirts and dresses are just below the knee, not too long as you don't want to get tangled in anything.
I used to wear super tight jeans or compression biker shorts and revealing shirts. I started wearing dresses everyday a few months ago and my heart has completely changed! Thank you 😊 I'm will look now
I’ve found Old navy & Target brand dresses from Poshmark or ThredUp! I think their older styles were super feminine and well made. Hope that helpsb
I find dresses easy to wear in the summer, but i struggle in cold months because i love cozy sweaters. I'm looking forward to pt.2.❤
I love being in a flowy cotton dress and cozy long socks with sweaters or sweatshirts in the winter! It’s the best!

The only fabrics that I am aware of that the Bible talks about not mixing is linen & wool.
Dresses for the win!!!
Yes!!
I love drug rugs, i didnt know that was the name for them hehe
hahaha sounds terrible, I've never heard them called anything else 😂
I like to wear dresses. It's finding comfortable shoes to go along with thrm that is hard for me. Dress shoes really hurt my feet/back.

How did God tell you that you should wear dresses and not pants?
