Hey Sis my wife likes being a stay at home mom because of you so thanks for your influence! Sorry if I didn’t agree at first! Don’t give up sis, give the glory to God in your homemaking
To anyone hating on this young lady for being a stay at home wife, stop please. She is right. I did a career for the first 6 years of marriage with my husband. We earned eqaul pay, we lived selfishly not biblically, more as roomates than teammates. We didnt understand biblical feminity or masculinity roles. I've been in the home as a full time mom of two boys, age 3 & 1 now... Its hard relearning your identity and I wish I had learned it in my early adulthood rather than focusing on career. Its so much harder to learn home skills alongside parenting skills. I gave my youth and energy to a job and my family truely always needed that priority.
Dear Kelli, thank you so much for your videos. All I ever wanted to do was to be a homemaker and mother. I’m so thankful to have married a man, 23 years ago, who wanted a wife who stayed home. I did this at a time and in a community where it wasn’t valued and despite the disapproval and offhanded comments I have loved every moment. My husband is a great encouragement and constantly reminds me that the work I do ( I grow a big garden and preserve a lot of our food, take care of our milk goats, pigs and chickens, buy in bulk and cook and bake completely from scratch) is of more value to our family than ever working in the community could be. I love to see young women starting to see the immense value we have to working in our homes serving our husbands and children. Thank you so much for the light you are in the world and in this community 💕
This means so much to me, as did your previous comment, which I read about a week ago and it made me excited to start making videos again, so thank you!! ❤
I love listening to you. I have been married over 26 years, have 5 children 8yrs to 25yrs, have homeschooled all but 1 of my kids school years and love being a stay at home wife and mother. I love learning more even at my age and am so blessed by you as a young woman living this life with conviction and love for the Lord and your husband.......beautiful ❤
Listening while crocheting. All I’ve wanted was to be a stay home mom and for so long I battled with that feeling. I couldn’t understand and felt wrong to think this way because we live in the 20 century. Not until God spoke to me through his word I was able to understand and not feel ashamed. I have one year left in the military and cannot wait to devote myself to my home, three kids and husband.
I love that you listened while crocheting! When I make these style videos that's what I envision them for because I also like listening to stuff like this while I do those types of things!! Also, thank you for sharing your testimony on how God spoke to you and directed your steps, He is so faithful 🙌 God bless you guys!!
I’ve always said that I so wish that dances and balls would come back! I wish every community had at LEAST one per year. We are so disconnected from each other. Knowing how to dance used to be common practice. Like you said, a great wholesome way to meet people and socialize!
You're amazing, sis! You've helped me a lot. I grew up with being taught to go out and work. When my husband and I decided for me to stay home after working since I was 14 years old (now 40) I was ridden with guilt and shame "staying home all day" this is extremely inspiring. I come here just for your sunny and bright disposition on Christian Homemaking ✝️ 🎉 you especially help on my "not so sunny days" please don't allow the enemy to distract you from the message so many of us are here for ❤❤❤ Jesus loves you!!!
You do make things very clear. As a young girl, I was never taught to be a homemaker when i got married even if we didn't have kids, and i went to church most of my life. Your message is so inspiring, AND I love ❤️ the seedling book!
I listened twice because I missed your content over the last few weeks! But glad you got a break. I appreciate the work you put into this channel. It always leaves me feeling uplifted and not dragged down like other content.
Love your content Kelli. You are discipling woman to love their husbands, to honour God and be workers at home. I love homemaking and a homeschooling mom of 4 in South-Africa.
Thank you so much sister!! And where in South Africa are you? I feel especially there the concept of homemaking and homeschoolings is rare from my experience....
I’ll bet that older lady down the street would love a friend if you ever get bored. She’d be a great resource for your garden you can be sure. ❤❤ PS, if you don’t like the color of the compost bucket you can paint it. My friend painted hers to match her house, I was like oh dang that is something I’d never think of. 😁
Yay! I love the sound of the book on organization for creative people! PLEASE,… make a video on the principles of that book! It sounds like just what I need!
I will definitely do an update on it! I have read chapter one and it's a lot of principles so far, which I really like, before getting into the practical. I'll do a full review when I'm done!
So good to see you! Your videos are always so peaceful and fun! I have a garden in the backyard and then this Spring we converted our front yard into a garden. We used chip drop and got 14yards of chips! For free. I love the front yard garden. I am an extreme extrovert and I meet so many people. Covid was so difficult for me because of the isolation. I am making up for lost time! 😂😂
I love that you converted your front yard to a garden, what a great use of the space- hahaha especially being an extrovert, that is so fun!! And that is so cool that you got 14 yards of wood chips for it! I wish we had signed up for it last year so we didn't have to buy woodchips early this year- they are expensive!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful books! I’ve recently started taking up reading again after years of not doing so, so I’m on a book craze and have my eyes peeled out for any good, uplifting reads! Planning on starting pride & prejudice after my next two reads (I like knocking them out by lowest to highest word count) and I’m so excited ☺️ sending love to you and your husband from Arizona!
That is so exciting you have gotten back into reading!! And I'm with you on the word count, I I hope you enjoy Pride and Prejudice! And I'd love to hear any books that you find you love!
I love your videos! Living out the role our Heavenly Father made for us is not an idol! It has so much value to the kingdom. And I'll dare to say , better fruit in the family then far off mission work. I've seen a lot of damage in families from people thinking the only way to serve the kingdom by running off to be a missionary and leaving the mission field they had in front of them ie their children. Agree with minimalist . Been there . Done that. You end up restocking things you let go especially if you are a creative homemaker.
So wonderful to watch your video today! It sounds like you had a busy but enjoyable September. As always it’s a treat when you share how the Lord is working, inspiring and encouraging you because for so many the encouragement is then passed on. I hope the weather hasn’t been a problem for you. I can’t remember but I thought you had said you were in Ohio and I wondered if any remnants of the hurricane ever reaches that part of the country when the storms make it farther north. Anyway, seeing such devastation has been heartbreaking for sure. Thank you for sharing with us today, you are a beautiful light in a world that is hurting. God Bless you Kelli. 🤗
Hi Kelli…my father-in law loved David Thoreau and he read many of his books. One thing I so enjoyed that my father-in-law did was built a pond on his property, taking cues from Thoreau and filled the banks and edges around it with beautiful wildflowers. It was such a peaceful place to sit and watch all the birds that were attracted to the pond. His name is pronounced as thur…row!😊
I may be mistaken, but the barrel-type composter that I owned suggested you turn it to mix the compost every time you filled it (or often). You may be doing that, and I just missed it. I enjoyed your video, as always. Thank you.
I too enjoy reading very much and try to include various genres because I’ve always believed that “knowledge is power”, so the more you learn, the better a person you can be. I just finished Before We Were Yours, by Lisa Wingate. The book is based on the true story of Georgia Tann who ran the Memphis branch of The Tennessee Children’s Society and all the children and families who were victims under her care and of her team. The author did a beautiful job in telling the story based off of her research. It will make you cry, laugh, get angry, and hurt your heart, but definitely a wonderful read.
I LOVE being a homemaker. My husband LOVES me being a homemaker. However, I do still sometimes feel like I wish I could contribute financially. When I get those feeling, I’m reminded about the videos you have made about the home economics! I do contribute financially…. Just in a different way than my husband does for our family🙂 Thanks for the home economics videos! They are appreciated, and encouraging!
You mentioned the YWAM biographies of heroes of the faith. My husband and I are enjoying those audiobooks from our local library app. They offer such encouragement for the Christian life.
Homemaker is the best job ever. The workplace is a strange battleground. Not worth going through all that mess when I can be my own boss. I am a great boss!😊
Egg whites are also a great facial for the face. I've done it a few times. When the egg hits the room air the whites actually tighten on the skin too so help with pulling impurities.
So happy you posted a new video. I enjoy your videos so much. I’m sorry that some viewers leave snide comments. Anyway as for a GREAT Sense & Sensibility movie I would highly recommend the one staring Emma Thompson. It is so good. And I absolutely fell in love with the character Colonel Brandon played by Alan Rickman. I think you will really enjoy Emma great book and I also fell in love with Mr. Knightly. After you read Emma the movie staring Gwyneth Paltrow is good and so well done. Another Jane Austen book I would suggest and I think it’s one of her shortest books is Persuasion it is so so good and I fell in love with Captain Wentworth too. I’m a hopeless romantic. There is also a wonderful movie for it as well but all are English actors so can’t remember their names but the movie I have on dvd is excellent. I think your husband Scott would enjoy the movies also 😊 hope you have a wonderful weekend and I will be looking forward to your next video 😊
Oh thank you so much! This makes me so excited to watch it!! And I will have to look at the little bookstore and see if they have Persuasion. Thank you Amy, I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well!!
I was going to recommend the Emma Thompson version as well of sense and sensibility it is my favorite too! And persuasion has got to be my favorite besides pride and prejudice do read it!😊
I liked the 1995 Sense and Sensibility so much that I got the DVD. I also got the 1995 Pride and Prejudice DVD collection which is a lot longer.😀 But I was born in 1968 so maybe that's why I prefer the Jane Austen movies made in the 1990s.
I love Jane Austen’s stories! My favorite movie versions are the A&E mini series of Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy, Emma with Gwyneth Paltrow, Sense and Sensibility with Kate Winslet.
I love the Jane Austen books! So glad to hear you are enjoying them too. 😊 Also, I agree with you about the ballroom dancing. I have actually been able to do some of that on occasion and it is super fun! Thanks for sharing with us; it is always great to hear updates from you! P.S. I really like the 1995 Sense and Sensibility movie. It is not quite as good as the book, but it is still really good in my opinion. 😉
That is so fun you've been to some ball's like that, I would love to learn the dances! They seem so fun! And we ended up watching that Sense and Sensibility movie this weekend and really enjoyed it- I was fascinated by the certain parts they left out from the book, but it was a long movie so I can see how they did as much as they could with it. And we laughed a lot!
Never read Sense and Sensibility, but I highly recommend watching the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth. It is so spot on to the book, and far superior to the 2005 version with Kiera Knightly, even though she is one of my favorite actresses.
I was homeschooled and was raised in an area with a lot of homeschool family’s. Every year we would get together for a ball! We did very traditional dances much like the dances in the pride and prejudice movie. I know of a few people who met their spouses that way!
My cousin and I literally talk all the time about how we wish the Jane Austen era dances/balls would come back for young christians/homeschoolers lol. and OHMYSOUL there ARE VERY GOOD Sense & Sensibility! At least two I can think of! (I super disagree with the youtuber that said there isn't lol) You absolutely MUST watch the Emma Thompson/Kate Winslet version, and if you enjoyed the 2005 P&P but also loved the book yall really should watch the 1995 bbc miniseries bc it's very faithful to the book and is also a good version.
Truly, they would be so much fun, I would love to learn how to dance like that!! And so many of you said this, we ended up watching the Kate Winslet one this weekend an loved it! I'm so glad y'all encouraged it!
I am going to have to go to this antique book store one day, it sounds like a fun little shop :) And that compost barrel looks like just what my husband and I could use in our suburban house, I like that it has a lid on it! Your dress is beautiful by the way, where did you get it from?
Yess!! And something like that would be perfect for a suburban home, keeps it all closed and nice. After he told us about it, I had looked them up, and there are several affordable options and even smaller ones that would be nice! And it's actually a top that I wear with skirts, I got it from Pact on clearance, lets see if they still have them..... okay I found it but they only have black left but it's only $17. I wear size Medium if that's helpful... wearpact.com/women/apparel/all%20tops/clearance%20avenue%20slim%20long%20sleeve%20top/wa1-wnv-blk
Dear Kelli, I would love to hear your (and your husband’s if possible) thoughts on IVF. We have severe male factor infertility and want to start IVF… but I am worried about it going against God‘s word…
Please watch the 1995 BBC miniseries of Pride and Prejudice. It’s so much better than the 2005 version. I don’t have many strong opinions on simple things like this, but this is one hill I will die on. 😂
Sense and Sensibility: 2008 - 3 episodes (the only one worth watching, in my opinion). Pride and Prejudice: 1995 - 6 episodes (this is much more accurate to the book, and done really well).
Oh that is good to know! Haha it's funny you say that because while reading Sense and Sensibility, Scott said "this is very wordy" hahah so I'm definitely thinking it won't be a book we read together, if you also say it's long and some uninteresting parts 😂 He will be glad to hear of your caution 😊
I enjoy the 2008 mini series of Sense and Sensibility. The beginning 5 minutes is odd and not really important to the story at all and feels quite out of place in my opinion, so I usually just fast forward through it.
Hey Sis my wife likes being a stay at home mom because of you so thanks for your influence! Sorry if I didn’t agree at first! Don’t give up sis, give the glory to God in your homemaking

Definitely the film of sense and sensibility with Emma Thompson, Kate Winslet and the late Alan Rickman. It’s lovely! xx
I'm so glad so many of you said this- we watched it this weekend and loved it!!
I love being a homemaker and a wife and it’s a blessed life! God bless you and your beautiful family ❤
Amen!! God bless you!!
As an empty-nester, homemaker, I truely enjoy your chats.
Thank you for sharing 😊

Thank you so much, Nancy!! I hope you have a lovely Friday!!
I enjoy your homemaker chats! Thank you for taking the time to share them here.
Thank you so much, I will continue making them!!

@@homewithkelli Yes you are right it is rare, I am in Pretoria, Gauteng Province. The Lord led my husband and I to homeschool 4 years ago.

The wildflower 😊❤love it
Isn't it just beautiful!
So wonderful to watch your video today! It sounds like you had a busy but enjoyable September. As always it’s a treat when you share how the Lord is working, inspiring and encouraging you because for so many the encouragement is then passed on. I hope the weather hasn’t been a problem for you. Hi Kelli…my father-in law loved David Thoreau and he read many of his books.
I'm also living in South Africa 🎉
Oh amazing! What part do you live in? My husband is from Natal.
Johannesburg but my husband is also from natal
Ohh my not true of sense and sensibility! The one with Emma Thompson and Kate Winslet! 💞 it’s very very well done
I am so glad so many of you said this, we watched it this weekend and loved it!!
Try Jan Karon’s Mitford series. They are so charming & inspiring!
I've never heard of this, thank you!!
There’s an amazing sense and sensibility film!!! With Emma Thompson and Kate wjnslet. Watch it!
Oh thank you! That makes me excited to watch it!!
Sense and Sensibility: 2008 - 3 episodes (the only one worth watching, in my opinion).
Pride and Prejudice: 1995 - 6 episodes (this is much more accurate to the book, and done really well).
Thank you!!
Titus 2: 3-5 influencing others to homemake, is discipleship. Keep looking up, your golden! C
Amen! Thank you so much ❤️
Emma Thompson sense and sensibility
Thank you, that's good to know!!
This is the best version. The direction and acting are superb!
I wouldn’t recommend reading Emma next, it’s very long and large parts are not very interesting. I would recommend Mansfield Park, or Persuasion
Does Scott or you know a man named Randy Smith from South Africa?
We don't =)
I enjoy the 2008 mini series of Sense and Sensibility. The beginning 5 minutes is odd and not really important to the story at all and feels quite out of place in my opinion, so I usually just fast forward through it.
