How expensive were the parts?

I'm gonna venture a guess the real problem is the design of that manifold. It's a single chunk of cast iron converging into a single point. Basically there is too much of a difference in temperature across the manifold and it slowly wiggles itself bent across heat cycles.

Hairspray it and put the coupler back on, hopefully not the weld.

That’s a terrible power curve! That tune either needs work or it’s time to build the engine to rev higher.

I found the stage 2 bfi engine and gearbox mounts made the most difference. Engine doesnt move.

I just recently finished the assembly of my r32 project( fully forged with a pte 6466) and i installed stage 3 clutch pack for 1200nm. I remembered that when i was reading the manuals for installing, it was saying to put the friction discs in oil and after assembly. You did the same with this clutch pack? Sweet ride and very helpful in many times in my project🙏🏻🙏🏻 Thanks man. Merry Christmas to everyone.

Does your turbo have supporting bracket or just hanging on the manifold If no brackets they is no manifold which is going to fix it

how long was the water in the oil for? did it damage any internal dsg electrics?

A wee tip, use 5w40 oil going forward. The German Channel (LR Time) recons the 5w30 is the long term cause of the crank bearing failure

might be dumb question but why tyhe decompression gasket? too much compression from stock? i never seen it before.. but again........... i never run of stock internals an such... an mostly Japs cars
