My mk5 gti does that jump thing sometimes. Its had a stage 1 tune only done 73k. Maybe time for another DSG service or new clutch pack. Note sure.
The clutch packs helped but not got rid of it completely. I think it’s the mechatronics
Another great video! Good to see it coming together in the end and that you fixed some of the issues. Keep going 💪🏻
Cheers bro.
Don't hit with wood if it don't go in easy it's wrong there's a seal in gearbox side that you should replace it normally gets pulled out when removing transfer box it will leak if you don't replace it
Thanks for this. Didn’t know about that. I thought it was just the a tight fit.
I have no leaks but next time I take it out I’ll check and replace the seal.
Simply an amazing build 👏
Thank you! 😁
hello Octane Fever do you know how much boost a stock 24v vr6 3.2 can handle with a stock oem headgasket?
how much psi are you running?
It totally depends one what fuel you are using. Using e85 you can prob run 15-20psi but if you can only get pump fuel lol 99ron or 93octane then without a decompression head gasket then you are probably looking like 7ish psi. I’m running about 14psi but I have a decompression head gasket.
Were the mk7 golf r clutch packs a direct swap? Any tuning required for the dsg?
Was going to ask the same question
@@robertchau6248 Looking at the video and what I can find online, it looks like its a direct replacement, and running adaptations with VCDS is enough to get you rolling. Think Im going to go this route.
They are a direct fit no mods needed or tuning to use them.
@@OctaneFever thanks for the reply 👍 awesome build 💯
Hi great to follow the build do you think that it would be possible to put a divider in the manifold to make it twin scroll the plate could be mounted to a spacer plate. Do you have any pictures of the inside of the manifold
Thanks
Ian
I wouldn’t recommend that. I’d imagine it to be pretty inefficient and just cause restriction
I have a factory R32 transporter so need it to spool up early plus the turbo needs to be lower down the back of the engine so need to make an extension to miss the bulkhead, also how much is the good quality manifold
Thanks
Ian
Nice job!
Thanks man. It wall worked out in the end.
New to the channel here but good stuff. I was wondering regarding the gearbox does the DSG need an upgraded clutch pack to handle between 500-600hp or just a map is enough?
Yes you will need to upgrade the clutch packs. I have oem mk7 golf r clutch packs in mine which will support about 550bhp 700ish nm.
Hey man i’m having a really hard time with the allen 6mm bolt in the transfer case how did it went for you?
I ordered a really long 1/4 inch extension bar. With a 6m 1/4 inch bit and seletaped it together and then made sure it was seated properly then just have to have faith to remove it lol
@@OctaneFever and getting it in? Mine seems to grab the threads but doesn’t tighten at all at this point i’m just think to smash a freeze plug in there and calling it a day
@@TorpedoStudios I take it the gearbox is completely together? Like all the other bolts are done up? There should be no issues grabbing that thread unless either the bolt or thread in the hole is fucked.
