- Опубликовано: 5 июн 2023
- Welcome back, my MK5 R32 turbo had an issue where oil was found in the coolant and it took a while to figure out that it was the DSG oil cooler, so in this video we replace the cooler and get the car back up and running.

Good to see you are making progress, looking forward to the mapping!
Yeah you and me both.
Glad you got it sorted in the end! looking forward the next tuning session :)
Thanks, yeah me too!
Keep going buddy, process of alimentation. Once you know you've fixed something yourself, then it's been done properly .
Once again, hats off for doing all this yourself.
Big up from Taiwan
Thank bro. Gotta keep pushing.
Awesome update mate, so much went wrong but looks like you got it sorted out. Keep up the good work
Thanks 👍
Im watching this series and i love it you doing amzing job. Im sorry about the few problems around tue project but its not a bug deal for you just a work but most importantly more content for you. 👍🙌
Thank you so much!
Glad is all sorted now mate, cheers!
Yeah me too! thanks for watching
I’m here from TikTok. I just wanted to say thank you for making this video. I do wish you’d of shown the process of filling the DSG as it’s always nice to see a normal person doing it as some of the other guys seem to make it look really complicated.
I have 2 b6 Passats with DQ250 DSG and I’m trying to learn as much as I can about them, after spending £2500 on one of them and it still doesn’t change gear as it should, it holds 1st to the redline.
Where abouts in the UK are you?
Check my videos bro I have done a how to for servicing a dsg. Yeah they can be a pain tbh. Get yourself a vcds cable so you can do reset etc as doing the basic settings on the dsg might sort it out. I’m in high wycombe mate
Hi mate do you know the torque spec for the 3 bolts that hold the cooler on thanks
No I don’t sorry. But I can’t imagine them being more than 20/30 ft lbs
Make of dsg cooler please?,
Please add a link, great video again,
Links are in the description along with part number of the cooler.
Was the gearbox fine after the oil changes? My transmission oil looks exactly the same.
Yeah flushed it through once and it’s been fine since
How many times did you exchange the oil? Did you completely flush the coolant lines before replacing oil cooler? @@OctaneFever
The fans are notorious for failing on the mk5 platform, I realised the entire pack of them on my R32. I think from memory the little fan is piggy backed through the big fan wiring wise and it’s the little one that plays up
Yeah the big fan has the control unit built into it. So you pretty much have to replace the whole thing when it goes wrong which seem very wasteful.
What size where the o rings ?
I’m not sure sorry. But here is the part number N91027901
Add the links to the products you used please
Done bro. Any questions or anything I missed let me know
@@OctaneFever thanks buddy
Really good job and hope u don't miss the mapping session again 😜
