I’m running 18z front calipers on stock 345mm sized rotors with cheap Bosch pads and they are a big improvement over stock. Pedal stayed consistent all track day in 92 degree F. Weather. No fade what so ever
Yeah I am pleased now I’ve had the chance to re-evaluate the session. My plans were to go with 18z but I can’t run any more width with the wheels I have so for now I’m just going to get some dedicated track/race pads which should eliminate the vibration going forward and see how that works.
@@vanishingpoint808 yeah I defo wouldn’t get away with 20mm spacers. No actually the discs are fine. It’s the pads overheatings and gassing off, feels like warped disc but it’s actually the pads. When they cool down they are fine. They only vibrate during hard use

@@OctaneFever I use 20mm spacers with my 18Zs. Surely the vibration is warped discs, pads don't vibrate?

Track tyres, stiffer roll bars, track pads, race brake fluid and some brake cooling ducts and the R32 turbo will dominate!
