@carolyncarpenter9682 yeah I don't understand why these trucks and jeeps rust out so bad. I love my s10's and I've had dozens in my days, none have ever had frame rust issues even from semi salted road areas. Can't speak much on ford or dodge but I've never really seen much on those. Always on tacomas and jeep wranglers

@@blantondynamics1999, 290wb, I drove it home 500 miles from Chicago, but it needs oil leaks fixed, (peanut cover gaskets, and it looks like the front crank seal) front tires, I’d like to swap the wheels, as it has super singles, and then the icon style up front. I wanna do polished 24.5lp and paint the frame and have a vinyl company put a small graphic on the side. Just a lot a little things.. needs a new grill, as the one on it’s pretty rough shape. Needs new mirror brackets, it’s got daylight doors from an 07 and they don’t work. Both need regulators and motors. Just lots of little shit. The lights have a pretty big draw need to get charging system up to snuff, finish the interior. That’s where I started redoing the hard wood floors and putting a bed in it as it was just subs lol.

Were they the same frame design when being made by Dana

@@augustusgloop9330 the taco and 4Runners share parts, but have different frames. My '97 frame looks new.

@@notTwoTired maybe I’ll try to look for one instead of a Tacoma. A lot of the newer tacos like the 2nd gen tacos are rotted like crazy here. Even some new chevys are rotted lol

@@augustusgloop9330 it is so sad to lose the first gen tacos with the 3.4l, my 4runner has over 600 000 kms and cannot use a litre of oil between changes! I would also love a 2nd gen taco, but I am too nervous. Maybe the 2011s will be affordable by the time my 4runner gives up the ghost?

I completely understand but by the time I did all that, it would cost the same to buy and swap a new frame. It's never a win win with these types or projects because it normally boils down to customers budget. I'm NOT a "the customers always right" kind of person but I do try to work with them best I can to get the longest life out of something with their budget. And yes my ocd gets me from time to time on these projects and I have to fight it and ignore it best I can.

They make a thread repair kit for that 02 sensor bung. I believe advanced auto parts and O'reilly's sells the kit.

I dont have a clue what I'm doing. I just use common sense, youtube/Google, and just do it.

Thanks I appreciate the information. And no I didn't replace the piston coolers and also pretty positive they didn't get bumped. The only one I had concerns with is the one I dropped the socked into but it looked the same as the cylinder next to it. And there was oil on bolts and heads and assembly lube on the journals.

I did check clearance but didn't mention it because the videos are already longer than most people like and if I would have mentioned it i would have went into explaining how it works and It would have turned into a whole video by itself.

Alllmmmost. The stacks are about 1½" too tall to fit. But I could come down to like 20psi in the front tires and definitely make it fit.

Sounds like either the computer isn't sending any amperage to activate it or you have a bad ground on the circuit. You can have 12v but no amps. It may take 2 amps to work the solenoid but only putting out 0.001 which would be enough to show up on the volt meter. If you have a set of noid lights you could use one of those to plug into it and crank the car and see if it ever comes on. Or use a test light that uses a incandescent bulb and not an LED as those take almost no amps to make come on.

So you can do it by hand with a come along, but I used my winch on my car trailer. I backed my trailer up behind the truck, ran the cable back to the strap, and just let it do all the work.
