  • Well easiest way to describe this thing is a RUST BUCKET but basically my customer has had this thing for a very long time and the shop that it's at is one that was working on it a few years back buy they don't do full restores (neither do it buy I like money and I DO have the means to do them on something like this). So first things first, I needed to take a gander at what the damage was and to what extent.

Definitely a donor truck. The time and money you would spend on it would be crazy and would far exceed the price of a decent 1 that is roadworthy and in use..

I agree but the customer wants it fully restored. I already told him I don't feel like it's gonna be worth it in the end. They have value but not that much value.

@@blantondynamics yes I see this happening and they realise that they were mad in the head to restore something that has really gone to far,but I kinda understand when someone says to me "well my late dad loved this truck and I'm restoring it in his memory "then I think differently......

That would be good restoration content though

I'd walk away from that one !!!! I Kno it's money .but sometimes you just gotta walk away and fight a different battle.

It's definitely rough but customer says he can get almost any part for it. If he wants to dump money into it then let's go!

@@blantondynamics Customer is dreaming, replacement panels are few and far between for the 60.

What ever became of this project? Was looking forward to Pt 2 as I have an FJ60 that is only slightly better than this

This one ended up being way worse than we first thought, and it needed a frame to go under it and a lot of body work where it was rusted through the floor. Long story short, the customer didn't like the price of a full restore

The owner might be interested in selling it as is. I can find out what his price is and let you know. Itll probably be something ridiculously high tho.
