welcome to soju with sarah! (trailer) ☕
I wish i had this episode when I moved 6 months ago!! incredibly relatable to assume that an entire move will be said and done in about a week 😅 crazy how easy it is to underestimate the effort and energy involved with big life changes!!
I’d LOVE a video about practical finance tips, you guys are great!!!
this was one of the best episodes, i had tons of laughing. thank u so much!!
ahhh i love the vibes of this podcast and binging these episodes..... and james
Really liked this video Sarah. I'm going through my set of challenges and this video is a reminder that change is okay and really helps us grow a lot, even if its a little scary.
🤍🤍 change is definitely hard but there is so many great things that can come from it
I like the new cozy corner!
The only RUclipsr/ Podcaster I will take the time to write a comment for 🥰 Hope you guys are enjoying the new space ✨
Thank you so much for this video! It is definitely something that I needed for reassurance that it is okey to feel differently about change in general. And a little side note, I told myself that starting the next year I was going to buy myself a ring as a promise to myself, that regardless of anything challenges I’m faced with I’ll be there for myself. <3
Thank you and I appreciate you Sarah! This episode really came just in time for me. I am planning to move and it’s just a lot of changes that comes with it. So it’s scary and terrifying but I also know this will be good for me, for my own inner peace. And a great reminder, there is no rush, each of us are on our own pathway ❤
Worst thing about Soju with Sarah is that it ends... sometimes in under 30 mins. I hope yall enjoy the new space and take your time settling in ❤
Hi! I have been a quiet supporter but I found this podcast right in the beginning of my study abroad semester in Japan this past Fall. Thank you for constantly posting!! It's helped me throughout my workouts and thoughts. I hope your move has been going smooth. The goal is to be like you guys in the future. But I have yet to land an analyst internship for this summer. Okay I watch the video now!
I’m disturbed all over again at the fact that I understood The Substance mention in the bloopers 😭😂
Very much resonate with your points at 26:43, about being able to pursue upward mobility, in much part at the expense of my parents hard work growing up. I like to think I’ll pay it forward ~shrugs~
🍵🫶🏻
seasons with helping parents is such a good mantra! i will be graduating next year and hopefully have a full time job and this has been a main concern of mine so this is a really good advice 🫶🏾
Love the openness and vulnerability you both show in these podcasts. ❤
love this podcast so much <3 it's always the highlight of my week
Moose working overtime in this ep, best pawducer <3
Your personal anecdotes are why i love your podcast! Because your experiences seem so relatable to mine it makes me feel less alone and more confident in trusting your advice. Keep up the great work :)
I feel like if you hide who you are as a person just so that ppl don't judge you is not the way to go. If being vulnerable with someone leads them to judge you, then they're not a friend.
always love the real talks <3
I HATE cucumber 😂🥒 and they do have a very strong flavor !!!
Hi Sarah! As always I always love hearing about your well thought out outlooks on topic. I moved to New York about a year ago and if you happen to want to meet I would love to meet and chat. I feel like your personality I really resonate with having watched your talks. Hopefully this doesn’t come off as too burdensome and if not- I will continue to tune in to your talks. Your video have really helped me out especially the episode about feeling lost in your twenties. As someone who left behind a career in anesthesia and transitioned to tech I really had a lot of self doubts but your content helped me pull through and keep working forward in my life 😊 so this is me shooting my friendship shot
i learned a lot from this episode and i also have a hard time unlearning the idea that "using people" is bad so it's nice to hear that other people like you have shared similar sentiments as mine <33
Great pod ❤️❤️ Taking about money can be a very difficult conversation in relationships but I do think it’s a necessary topic
your podcast became my comfort zone tbh🤍 thank you guys! you are the best🙂🤭🤍
Social media is the problem .Back in the day women didn’t obsess over their looks like now and it’s out of control
Thanks Mom and Dad, Love, Child 001
Firstly, I’m so happy there’s a soju with Sarah episode to watch in the morning after a long long week. It really feels like a sense of relief to see a new episode. This topic especially as well because financial decisions are so difficult and causes me so much stress. Thank you for sharing this ❤️
I love when you guys talk about REAL things like money, your relationship etc. please keep posting these transparent and relatable topics 💘🩵
i would watch healthy drinks with sarah 😌
SARAH HOTTIES UNITE 💪💪💪
I love hearing you guys talk about literally anything, its like having a cozy conversation with friends. It is also helpful to hear other couples talk about what they do with their money ie joint accounts
🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
always a great listen and you guys make laugh sm even with serious topics haha <3
loved how you critique the aspect of oversharing and being too honest. Leading with transparency can be good, but you also don't owe people all of your personal information. It can change the energy and dynamic of a situation and people may then engage with you differently! It's about protecting your peace <3
love the point aboutt honesty/oversharing is not a universally good thing to do
babe wake up!! sarah posted!! needed this for the weekend thank uuu 😌🫶🏻
fav time of the weeeeek! Perfect time for me to get ready to as well 🫶🏼
Your podcast feels like a breath of fresh air compared to others and I really liked this episode. It highlighted areas in my life that I am currently working on. I also work in corporate, but I actually feel the opposite; I felt my coworkers created a space for me to really express myself.
"Supporting other crabs" 🥰
This is genuinely such a funny episode im legit crying at work😭😭😭
what the FLONK
I’m about halfway through listening and have a LOT of thoughts here - the term personal branding makes my insides hurts. It makes us as humans reduced to capital to be marketed rather than intimate beings with the capacity for complex emotions, vast abilities, deep needs for connection, and nuance. Not to be that person that’s like “it’s late capitalism,” but it’s late capitalism babe. And social media is all connected to the systems at play here. No longer is social media about socializing, but rather it’s curated capital (influencers/content creators) dictating our consumption. I feel so free after deleting the clock app and anything meta. Growing up, I saw participation in social media as necessary to connect with my peers, but as an adult, I now see it is voluntary (because it always has been). Girl, what if you didn’t participate in scrolling? How would it feel to not describe yourself as chronically online? What if you were your authentic self at work (spoiler alert: you’d still have your job and you might even thrive more at it)? What if you didn’t buy the microtrend because it is truly heinous? I know this is way more nuanced since half of your work IS online, but nonetheless I think asking the why and doing the thought exercise can be useful! The perpetual identity crisis only makes sense in the state of the world where everything, including intangible concepts like lifestyle and personality, are commodified and consumable. It’s by design!
Your comment resonates with me. I deleted all the social media apps from my phone because I found myself scrolling for hours through content that wasn't healthy. One of the most difficult things for me after deleting social media is that it exacerbates my identity crisis since I don't feel as connected with people an I cant distract myself. It does have its benefits but its like jumping on the deep end.
one thing i think sets you apart from other content creators is that you dont make a living off of it, so you can prioritize your authenticity, draw like minded people and cultivate such an awesome community. i think the people who prioritize selling their personal brand may have the struggle of tying their self-worth to their financial income, which could feed into a view and liked based mindset so its really refreshing to hear you talk about your struggle so openly, and i hope you continue to make content like this. as a fresh grad beginning full time work but also aspiring towards creative dreams, you’re a big inspiration for me.
this was so comforting!! We’re about the same age and most of the things you talked about have been the shadow of my year- esp about personal style and never feeling 100% happy! maybe its the battle of the mid -20s, but cheering you on as we work through it! 💛
that's my mom!
Soju with Sarah was my top most-listened to podcast of 2024❤ Thank you CREATING this beautiful space out of thin air
This has been my favorite episode so far! I can totally relate to having an identity crisis 😅
