For Sony, Samyang makes the same lens (Well, same zoom, same aperture, same for factor, and looks really similar) for $600 less, and the Samyang is Parfocal (for video shooters). Nikon has to take Tamron, but it doesn't suck. Also, the ability to program the buttons to Astro - push the button and it focuses to infinity, and disables autofocus. Push again to re-enable AF or can be set to Focus point A and B (and set focus speed in video) and being able to choose between them with a manual switch on the camera. It is amazing.

Seems everyone disagrees with this video title. Me included. Can’t beat the a6700 for the price. Apart from dual card slots there is nothing the A7iv does that the a6700 doesn’t but there are quite a few things the a6700 does that the a7iv can’t do.

This why everyone shoot Sony due to a lot of competition for good affordable glass. You marry your glass and date your camera body!

got the 7artizan and got the metabones speedbooster. canon to sony adapters. the metabones gives heavy vignetting so you have to crop in in post. the artzians is much better but you loose an F stop.

I wonder if shooting in 1080P content there's some type of artistic value to it any insight on that or views

Looks like yours also has the old dial for tightening where the battery goes? I always thought that was a bad idea and the newer ones have a little more leverage to be able to tighten a lot easier. As far as alternatives, Neewer does make the same thing and for almost half the price per usual Neewer products. Can you also comment on how your red coiled HDMI has held up? I have seen some complaints about it not always connecting well and it is only a couple of dollars cheaper than the Kondor Blue ones? Thanks!!

I've ways hated the fact that all you were a le to get is prores raw as its pretty much useless if you seriously want to grade. BRAW is a much welcome edition.

ah yes. finally someone still care about 1080p nowadays😢😅 sony does oversamples their 4k footage, but not with the 1080p. sad truth😅 i know few sony cameras has good 1080p: a7s lineups, a7r lineups the other lineups like their aps-c and a7 series are having a “boring” 1080p🫠

Thanks for your video. I recently bought the Viltrox 550 Pro and probably going to send it back due to fan noise (on low fan setting). No information by the supplier as to how long you can run without the fan! Also didn’t come with micro-HDMI cable although supplier debates this on Amazon. The pros are - it comes with battery (which rattles around when fitted) has a nice protective case and nice folding sun hood. Fan noise is a deal breaker and interesting that I am no hot-shot videographer but reviewers on You Tube are not taking about the elephant in the room with the Viltrox - the fan noise! Slange

Just bought a 2nd body. 2400 for s5ii and 3 lenses (2060, 28200, and 50). Unbelievable. Also with the new fw upgrade and the way it handles and stabilization. You cannot beat this camera.

None of these ai companies are releasing any working demos, and the ones that are look like lsd fever dreams struggling to produce 2 second clips. Everything in the ai space right now just seems like shady marketing designed to dupe investors (typical of tech companies)..aside from maybe image and text generation (though companies are already being sued in this space to make sure creators get paid and content isn't stolen to train models...this alone will become a moneymaker for copyright lawyers preventing wide-scale adaptation). In reality power and processing limits have been hit and there's no way this can be provided at scale currently. Even text generation is being scaled down fragmented so it can be provided at scale, with people complaining models are getting dumber. Even if ai in this space becomes competent, it will not be providable at scale for a long time. The only thing even making ai viable right now is governments turning a blind eye towards stolen content being used to train models.)

How does it hold up 1 year later?

I wish this had a bit better of a modular design. You ultimately need some sort of quick release between rods and then have a quick release after for mounting to a tripod (which is needed for my setup since my 200mm lens rips apart adapters). It's fantastic as a concept, but incomplete from a product standpoint. Imo, I feel like you could build a similar setup that is much more modular, since you already need to spend that extra money prior to getting this V-Mount plate if you do want to make this plate modular. I'd probably use something like this if I was running lighter lenses with no lens support needed, Since it's pretty easy to attach a quick release plate for switching between handheld and tripod.

I’m thinking about whether to get the A6700 or the A7IV. What holds me back from the A7IV is that I have quite a few lenses that are APS-C. Do you think I should take a big step and switch to the A7IV, or since I have more APS-C lenses, should I stick to the APS-C line and go for the A6700?

Noob here. What does internal RAW of external RAW mean ? What is the difference ?

We need Internal X-OCN. Better than BRAW. Sony needs to stay state of the art. Stay inspiring. Not catch up with some overdue benefits. I have the atomos. Pro Res is nice, however a non acceptable workflow to get it into DW. Now I would have to buy several BM monitors…well.
