Much ado about nothing! I don’t understand why people get so bent out of shape over this. I don’t change frame rates very often I suspect not many videographers do. When I do, it takes me literally 5 seconds to change the shutter speed to conform to the 180 degree rule. Just double your shutter speed it’s really so basic I don’t understand what the fuss is all about. Other upcoming updates for my A7Siii such as focus-breathing and DCI 4K are much more important and needed.
I agree of all the things I’d like to see upgraded, this is probably the smallest one

If I’m shooting events or commercial videos I change frame rate quite a lot. The problem is I tend to forget the shutter speed. Shutter angle would solve this for me. 🙂
Because without it you could turn up to shoot something and not be able to reduce flickering from certain light sources. It can be removed in post with great success however if there’s a lot of movement it can produce nasty artefacts. I’ve had this happen twice and thankfully my current camera allows me to dial it in till the flickering is removed, without that it would have been very problematic.
