@@JonathanPalfrey I don’t know enough, but my assumption is that if DJI and Rode can put it into their receivers, we can get it in a camera! I have to own my ignorance, though.
People don't talk about it because it's technically an amateur sound guys dream, if u know audio 24 bit won't clip and u should be monitoring your audio instead of 32 bit float fixing all amateur mistakes...thats the general consensus on 32bit float its a not needed amateur fixer
@@Shuttterbugg I’m sorry if I personally offended you. For a solo filmmaker, the less one has to worry about the better. And everyone makes mistakes. I see no reason to not include it if it can be done.
@@Shuttterbugg but that’s like calling autofocus and raw amateur features? No ‘Pro’ needs those features to produce a good image however they are all great features which for pros makes shoots easier, add flexibility and a layer of insurance for certain circumstances. I like the rumor of keeping quad bayer for low light and going to 6K, bumping dr and low light. Since the current 12mp sensor starts at 4X or 45mp this one will have to start above 80mp. Some crazy good 6K.
Regarding to the duo usb-c I would love this and I would go even further and hope that usb-c will replace the hdmi port with protocols like thunderbolt there is no technical argument against it in data transfer speed and imho there are only positive effects like smaller ports and cables and ofc only one type of cable to care and carry around
Not sure what the situation is however there has been talk that Canon and Nikon paid Red to be able to use raw. Sony may have also paid them for the Venice and Burano, I guess with the bigger profit margin on those cameras it’s worth taking the hit.
Nice list. I would add wireless audio input from a Sony wireless microphone. Similar to what DJI is done with the pocket three. I would be all over that.
One thing I would want is the ability to monitor sound with my wireless earbuds ! Why can't we do that in 2024, seems so simple and obvious with our phones, how many times I tried to step away from my camera and the wire almost made me drop my camera to the floor
Latency would be an issue with bluetooth but what about if Sony released headphones that work like a Rode wireless go in reverse? Transmitter built into the camera and receiver built in to the headphones. That would be pretty cool.

I think they will as they have the tech and can make a big announcement about it but I agree, dynamic range improvements would be preferred and far more useful. The current FX3's rolling shutter is absolutely fine.
i think with 12MP sensor will be easier to not lose dynamic range, compare to A9iii, and of course with some additional features to improve dynamic ranges.
Well v raptor x has an 8k ff global shutter "without" compromise. I'm not expecting a global shutter on fx3m2. But maybe other cinema line up. Maybe venice 3 and burano 2 first. The FX line will follow. Fx9m2 is possible cuz it has a 6k sensor. We will see
@@balarol thnx for the reply. But I didn't forget about it. It is just funny after Sony s announcement Red want to answer with their tech to be the first again. But I don't mind that. It is great for us as consumers :). Sony will deliver and surprise us again for sure.
I'm only halfway into the video and i might be wrong by saying this but, although i think only sony and canon got means to such improvements, they'll never do it. There's a conflict of interest when we talk prosumer x professional cameras. Fujifilm doesn't have a Cinema line to upgrade to, so their cameras are packed with features (ie open gate, 14bit readout)
It's true that's always been a problem with Canon and Sony. I'd hope the likes of Blackmagic, RED and Panasonic may push them a bit but sadly that probably wont be the case.
Nobody’s talking about 32-bit float! That’s a no-brainer feature for the next-gen audio module.
Another one I forgot! Yeah It makes no sense why 32-bit float hasn't appeared in a camera yet.
I guess it would require some sort of new codec?
